  1. Not really surprising if you've studied other murderers. I for one am waiting for the psychological exam to be published publicly. Not to disregard that a man died, but it does get interesting and disturbing to know why. This isn't that bad of a murder, it's out of the ordinary, but so is watering your plants with a bowl. I can show you a list of multiple serial killers, and just plain out weird killers that never got publicized in the main stream media that are from Canada. We're not so innocent. Generally yes. Having to kill to have some sort of pursuit or release, most common is by far a sexual release. Others are they are deranged from reality. Though it's not uncommon to have someone who doesn't feel any emotions at all, and thus has to kill or do some extreme matter to feel something, which causes an addiction to killing. Though there are those who have no psychosis at all, and just kill because it's fun, which would technically be evil.
  2. Just thinking of the 3-5 months from now, if they have started working on new endgame, or any new content at all (that is enjoyable more than once) how low the player base will be...
  3. Just because it won't kill you doesn't mean you shouldn't discuss it. Well if that was the answer to why they are tied together and counted as one, then thanks.
  4. All I'm asking. Why are they tied together? It's more of a user restraint then aiding against anti-bot measures? "Isn't a minute in between"? In between a post and pm there doesn't need to be a limit, between a post and a post or a pm and pm there does. I don't know if I'm misreading or you didn't go to complete or give an example. Separate lists should be looked into, as this kind of thing does get annoying.
  5. Wonder what happens in the other 4 minutes. Anyways, it shouldn't apply to both PM's and Posts, even if it won't happen occasionally. It's just kind of stupid. Unless some bot is going to go around posting and sending a PM every minute, which isn't even harmful, and will be dealt with within the first 30 minutes for sure. What negative things can come from having it at both PM and posts? And not having separate lists? How can it be abused? Just wondering.

  7. Don't worry, most of us lived through it for AoC, I'm sure we'll get by with it for WAR. :D True, yet do you expect that to take a week, or more? You log off, and it isn't paused for you, it keeps going. Basically at peak times one side can definitely out-number the other side, and like the guy said it's not limited to a 1k cap. I'd expect less than 4 fours to kill off one of the sub-cities, or obtain one. Another four hours, and I'll say 10 hours to completely obtain the capital. 18 hours, and you go through almost a complete day. With time zones things could get murky as well. And if there's a consistent percent of players online through-out the hours, I can imagine it'll be one-sided for the majority, perhaps even until inside the capital. Or there could be more player skill involved, but that just opens the door to Yomi layers, and a dulled down game of Starcraft...Honestly I can so see it being counters to counters, builds to builds which land the outcome of the fights, usually happens with auto-attacking...

  10. Months? Perhaps at first, but as with any game there's going to be game play strategies which make overtaking a city very easy. Not to mention the scenario where it's 500 Vs 100, even with those passives. Unless they are taking 5 people each...it'll be a massacre. True, it probably will be quite awhile until proper fights are taking place at T3, and even longer for T4, I'd say 2-4 months of really playing (then again if it takes under a two months for 40 it will definitely be repetitive) will get you at T3-T4. I'm only guessing and contradicting myself to a post above, but I can see in 6 months when the game is broken down by players, not developers, how easily the players will find ways to overtake cities. I don't think it'll be a month by month thing to overtake cities, as said by whatever the guy's name at comic con, that they want people with families to enjoy it. Thus I'm thinking two weeks to a month to overtake a city.
  11. One thing though is continuing to retake capital cities over and over again. No matter what they put in to make it different, capturing the cities will get boring. Your home base city or capital city or whatever will as they said have tons of events in it, but having to defend it every few hours instead of enjoying the possible events may also be a conflict. I just wonder how that will pan out.
  12. I've seen about 12 or so eclipses where I live, Canada. Don't know if that's a lot or what, but eclipses seem kind of boring lol. I've seen a purple eclipse once, and that was very interesting, though I don't think it was the sun & the moon, it was something other than the moon, an asteroid or comet I think. I forget, I researched it lightly, but don't remember, could someone inform me of what I saw again? Or were they gases?

  14. Gotta love bugs. 1) Able to hit 5k damage on any of my Swift Strikes combo (ending combo). 2) Putting items into my bank will duplicate them by 100. My account has been locked, and the days it's not accessible have been 'refunded'. Much fun. I went around Eig. Mounts. in epic mode, downing all the mobs there. Was the most fun ever. How to access these bugs? No idea, I logged in at my guild city, walked into a T1 building, I fell through the ground, kept falling, I apparently hit water, killed myself by drowning, Rezzed at a 'Dummy Door', clicked on it, and somehow ended up in Tarantia. No pics sorry. Just the trust that I'm not lying. By the way, this was before the hotfix they did, so I don't know if it got fixed, and haven't unlocked my account.
  15. Berserk. Watch that (it's like 13 or 20 episodes?), and you'll fall in love with anime. What's different from Cartoons, is that it's more realistic, and basic physics do apply to most animes, but you get the added 'magic' or paranormal explanations that you don't get in Cartoons. In Cartoons, anything can happen, someone floating, someone turning into a balloon, with no explanation, there's no laws. In Anime, certain laws of physics aren't broken, merely bent by some paranormal force 90% of the time. Anime also has more mature themes. Humour, evil, good, emotions, death, life, and a lot of philosophy is present in it, but it's much more oriented towards 15+, then say Cartoons that are for 8-12. Anyways, Anime to me is an acquired taste. You need to learn and understand a lot of the sub-themes going on to really appreciate what is actually going on. At any time in 'good' animes, there's at least 5-7 conspiracies going on, or plots. Anyways it's more entertaining than most non-anime shows.
  16. Loving the stereotypes, and how they make you look like an idiot. : Pures are usually 1 defense, 40 or 60 attack, and high strength. Though there are ranger and magic pures. Also rune pures with 40 defense to wield the rune, also have 40-70 attack. Actually there's countless variations of pures. Now however, pures get high strength, and keep everything else low, so they can have 99 strength in low level BH. This is the new generation of pures. Honestly if you want detailed info, and wondering about the current community of pures: www.purecommunity-rs.com Will answer a lot.
  17. What's their compliment? --- Honestly, it would probably be anywhere from 1/8 to 1/10 as active as Rants. As well, it's just meaningless to have. Rants is there because people feel the need to post the negativity, hence why it's there, and to reduce some moderation work. A compliments forum isn't needed, nor will have any use, except for praising, which isn't even done at all through-out General. Not needed. Not useful. Won't add or contribute anything (negative & positive), nor will solve any other issues with posts. All of these were said 'yes' and then had a reason when the Rants forum was being discussed, as was any other forum. Compliment forum doesn't.

  21. Grammar is what we judge people on. It's just like judging someone on being white, black, poor, rich, looks hot/ugly..etc, in real life, except it's replaced by grammar mainly. A few other things, but mainly grammar. Even if we don't think about it, or give it any mind, we still store it as a negative thing, which reflects our opinions on what that user is to us. It will always be our (the majority) first thoughts when reading improper grammar.
  22. I agree with Krisc, it's the same situation pre-AoC, same questions, doubts, and concerns. No use discussing anything more than what we're shown, as anything else is just wasting time. I mean it's fun, but from past experiences I've lost the point in discussing it.
  23. WAR graphics look more colourful and appealing. Pretty much like WoW, just a bit more serious looking. One thing about AoC I liked, was that it was pretty realistic armour, and it just seemed believable, instead of the 300 LBS armour that the guy was wearing in that video. Lol. ITEMS * Resolved an issue that caused item bonuses to not scale correctly. * Many items are now 'bind on equip' meaning that once equipped the item can no longer be traded. * Resolved the issue with raid gear that had lost it's bonuses in a previous update. * The bonuses awarded by gems have been rebalanced. Unfortunately some of the gem bonuses were originally applied incorrectly leading to situations where too much bonus was given, mainly for invulnerability rating. These gems have now been modified. The benefit of the different level gems has been also been amended though, meaning that higher level gems should now be better than the lower level versions. * All items Green+ are now Bind on Equip (BoE) or Bind on Pickup (BoP). * Items which are BoE/BoP should now state this fact below their item name in the mouseover tooltip. NPC / MOBS * Toirdealbach's Tomb has had its level range adjusted from 50-53 to 46-48. Loot in Toirdealbach's Tomb has been adjusted to fit the new level range of mobs. * Pyramid of the Ancients: The Harem Girls have been dressed up properly, and sexily! * Many of the spells used by raid bosses will now ignore line of sight-checks, thus making it impossible to avoid them by hiding behind pillars and such. * Many of the spells used by raid bosses will now be impossible to fully resist. * The Dark Flames breath attack used by Vistrix will now use normal line of sight checks. * The knockback strength on Kyllikki's Blizzard has been reduced. Yakhmars adds have been modified, they will no longer stun players as they did. TRADESKILLLS * Cloth Resource droprate in the world has increased somewhat. * The Resource and Building playfields (Lacheish Plains, Purple Lotus Swamp, Poitain) have new NPC camps that will drop tradeskill items previously only available through the Alchemist's Cache. Some of these encampments will aggro, some will not. This makes these zones more dangerous, but allows lower level players a chance to get the tier 1-3 resources they need. WORLD DESIGN * Checkerboard textures should no longer appear on the ground throughout the world. MOUNTS * The horse ability Hind Leg Kick will now have a 12 second reuse timer, like the other horse abilities. * The Skewbald Pinto Horse has had its stats adjusted to horses of the same tier and price. GUI * The "Quests" tab in the quest journal should now indicate the current number of accepted quests and the total number of allowed quests. * An option to add a player to your ignore list was added to the "Add by name" dialog. * If your trade is rejected, you will receive an onscreen message. * Tooltips for NPCs on the map should now show up in the localized version of their names, instead of their default English names. * You can no longer trade while in combat mode. * You will see an onscreen message stating that a team member has joined your team. * Onscreen feedback for a failed attempt at a trade due to a full inventory has been tweaked. * Added a new option that allows the player to make his cloak invisible. * Strange or seemingly out of place text in the UI should be removed GENERAL * Several causes of crashes and assert failures have been addressed and fixed. * Important notification sounds now won't be interrupted by other sounds. * A fix was implemented for item descriptions when switching between languages on the client. * Fixed an issue that would cause some playfields to be empty after logging out for some time, and then back in. * You can no longer send unlimited mail through the tradepost. If you send several mails and are informed via system message you cannot send any more, you will need for in-game time to pass before being able to send more mail. * Ignored users will no longer be able to send you mail. * Raid playfields will now kick players who are not in the raid. * Fixed some animations that weren't blending properly * The number of needed 'Fresh Kills' has been increased to 20.[/hide] Pretty much ok, except for BoP, don't even get that one. I understand BoE for the horrible economy to reduce inflation of items on the Trader, but to be honest they should have had another item drain instead of BoE. The amount of people deleting an item every minute will lag us all. Lol.
