If this is the case, then why hasn't jagex nerfed the great axe that can do up to 78 damage with 1 hit. accually it is possible to hit 96+ on people, i personally have hit 94, but that was all the hp this person had. The spec is far from overpowerd- it is just what was needed- a great range ko wepon.

doesnt really matter- if your not on a pking owrld the wildy is always empty, other than that- use the clocest tele from aincent spellbook or the ice plateau tele from lunar book.

rather, magic is overpowerd- even with best magic def and proctect from magic prayer ice barrage hits through very, very nicely. Magic isnt like any other combat style- while maging you are not suppoese to get hit back, and if you do, then you obviously s**k. The point is, barrage vs a normal melee without hides has absolutely no chance against you, and even when they are hybriding with range and melee, you should be ready for it and use melee aswell.

actually its 5 and 5 (None of the specs can go below that, thats what i have found) 5-5 is minimum with rune arrows, 8-8 is minimum with dragon arrows. and yes, the spec dosnt ALWAYS hit high, just like msb spec, it can hit low too.(from my own experiance in a range dmÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôwith dark bow)

since when there is a minimum hit? by the way full crystal bow has 100 range bonus while dark bow has 95 BUT dark bow is wayyyy better because : A)it has a spec B)crystal bow can ONLY shoot "crystal arrows" C)dark bow is the ONLY bow able to shoot dragon arrows D)dark bow shoots 2 arrows at a time E)dark bow spec w/o dragon arrows has a 100% hit and hits +30% and with dragon arrows 50% F)crystal bow that have degraded has lower range bonus than dark bow G)dark bow does not need recharging and will never degrade H)dark bow is a 1 time investment (unless you sell it or lose it) to sum up dark bow PWNS crystal bow You just made yourself look like a complete idiot, because yes, the dark bows special attack advertised to hit every time does indeed have a minimal hit. With rune arrows it is 5-5 and with dragon arrows it is 8-8. I am not saying this because i want the price to go gown or anything, heck, i have one of them, but the dark bow with rune arrows just isnt better than the msb- hence for a training wepon on lower levels- the speed just doesnt cut it. But for everything else, dark bow and a couple of dragon arrows are a dangerous combination.

yeh but for me 80% of the time i never hit with dds with bow spec u will always hit :ohnoes: i have been hit 5-5 with rune arrs and the special with the bow 7 times. on black hide- and 5-5 is the minimum it will hit with rune arrows.

Good post, and seeing as most people have now quit slaying the price will have to go up when all the manipulation stops. I will try to get a few of them aswell and not sell unless i get a respectable price.

i cant understand how the bows can still be lowering in price even though 80% of the people have quit killing the beasts. The droprate of the dark bow seems the same as whip droprate- 1/600 as most people need atleast 5-6 hours to get one.

they arent. the point why so many dark bows have already been dropped is simple- 2000 killers at beasts, 30+ beasts respawning- someone must get lucky. the second thing is, i kill 3 abyssal demons in the time it takes me to kill a single dark beast.

they wont fall under whip prices, ever no 90 slayer is going to kill beasts if abyssals have better drops and make more money.

whip used to be 40k, but they changed it- its the same as the bow and mystic top.

I LOVE it when some gay little punk who has absolutely no understanding of economics decides to call someone else "cheap" and that they "don't deserve" updates F2p makes enough money from adds to pay for ALL servers... YES little kiddy that includes your oh so precious p2p server... They could run runescape off f2p alone... the wonderful p2p is for profit only... F2p'ers are hard working gamers who enjoy the game even if they don't get all the items they could... EVERY single level that they earn is two to three times as hard as every level you get while using a whip or pcing your exp... I almost never see f2p'ers asking for updates... normally they are quite happy with the decent solid game that they have... F2p is balanced pking... all 3 combat types have a chance against one another... I know alot of guys in real life who play f2p... They aren't bad kids... many of them would get members but either their parents say no or they can't afford the $5 a month... astral runes are 200 each. there are only 2 ways to benefit from the update: humidity spell: very quick waterfilling of vials, more than 5000 an hour. change spellbook: the ultimate magic spell....but only if you can use it( :wink: ) + 2.5x times the experiance from alching.

best drop from them? probobly daggonoths...fast xp. best drop is a snapdragon seed.

''used to'' refers to the fact, that it once would, and doesnt anymore- hence i never said you can alch a crystal bow- anymore. and as you pointed- no bow sells to the store for more than a few thousand, and then you start talking about a cross-bow, that is really going offtopic- a crossbow is a crossbow and a bow is a bow. Now to the point- as i explained, the msb price is low because it can be made by players, while the supplys for the bow only cost 1.3k, while dark bows wont be able to be fletched by every second player in the game- it will be dropped by level 184 monsters that require lvl 90 slayer to be killed- dark bow is NOT just another bow. There is no proof that the bow is going to sell to the shop for more than x amount of money, but id be deeply impressed, if jagex would be stupid eunaugh not to make the bow proctect over barrows helmets.(then again, iwe been impressed by jagex-es actions many many times)

many people posting here discussing about the prices always forget that this bow is a slayer monster drop. What does this mean to the prices? well, if the dark bow is similar to the abyssal whip- best bow there is(better than msb) and the droprate is also similar, there is no way the price could end up lover than the abyssal whip. Why? Only 90+ slayers can kill dark beasts, and if they do, they are doing it only for the money- and if dark beasts were LESS profitable than abyssal demons, not a single soul would bother killing dark beasts. So no- the bow will never be cheap- it probobly wont ever even drop below 2m, unless ofcource there will be a better bow. It will be just like the beloved abyssal whip- only few could buy them at the beginning, but as time went past, they kept lowering and lowering, they still do, but no- it will still never be a cheap bow. On the topic- what is whip used for? everything that envolves meleeing- what will be dark bow used for- everything that envolves ranging.
