  1. Do you want easier "trade good" voyages, not caring about the type of trade goods? Dunno why you'd be going for something other than plate, bones, or spices. I have all three of my totems set to spices because i need them soupies. Uhm, why would you focus at all on trade goods in the loop? Also, spices???? REALLY?? They are the 3rd worst TG. Single stat missions are relatively easier than multi stat ones so you'd have better luck with whaler, convict and assassin.
  2. It significantly helps with the running around if done right. You can also have cannon hit them 8x per round if they are right under the cannon. I mean, yeah, it doesn't do as much as it used to pre-eoc(but what task doesn't the same apply to?) but on a max-pop server it will definitely help.
  3. I'm quite surprised by this. But also, as thai said, it's not quite as easy as this. However, something you haven't considered at all(as far as i know) is how long it takes to get to the task, both in banking and travel. When some tasks take an average of 8 minutes, ice stykes take 26 minutes meaning less overall travel(and also more relaxing slaying). You also have no rate for cannoning ice strykewyrms(which i see no reason not to do).
  4. Ice strykewyrms would like to argue that point. Other than that i think you are right, but only as far as 200m all is concerned(which isn't the norm, but happens to be the norm on this thread).
  5. Managed to reclaim my fleet admiralness, might have actually been the first to do so.
  6. Ranged is the only main style worth using anyway and throwing weapons don't have any advantages over sag short so this won't change anything about efficient dungeoneering.
  7. Again, it's just RNG. Have some balls and take it like a man. Sure, you can be like Kags on the rs official forums and cry about every failed voyage, but lets face it, it all averages out in the end. The lower the overall successrate the more useful a merchant is.
  8. Actually considering the fact that at sub 70% missions you are very likely to lose some resources. I once lost up to 500 TC that way. If you can send out ships at higher then 70% with merchant, you are right. Personally if I can send away a merchant @75%+ I'll do so, otherwise not. Scared of RNG? that's fun. You are also completely wrong. I've been sending 40-60% missions for a week now, no loss of azure since the first day of shield. The only two large losses of cotta/azure i've had have also been special crewman unlock missions, so it seems those are in some way special. Other than that, yeah, you are just plain wrong(although i wouldn't send ships at this low rates if i didn't have 4 lifeboats. Otherwise i'd not have any crew left).
  9. It is annoying but what are you really going to do? The way i see it, it just takes a certain level of intelligence to understand it and if people refuse to listen you can make your own conclusions. The most extreme example to the merchant issue comes with the dual 25.8k missions, where relapsing a merchant gives you as low as 2% higher successrate. Compared to 33% more rewards that's just insane.
  10. Yeah, and that's not even considering that advanced barbarian course had not been released, either. She was also a very nice person, too. Pretty sure Lover Romeo was a guy, I remember meeting him once in f2p and speaking for about 30 minutes or so. I have no idea why i wrote she. Might be because in estonian i'd refer to them as they but meh. To that combat point, this guy just isn't a very efficient slayer. His airut rate is almost 30% worse than mine off task. When he stops picking up crap and learns how to move from monster to monster quicker, then we'll talk.
  11. Isn't this... old? i mean, 3 years old when the first designs of 120 series capes first appeared? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zDbRYWz0nE
  12. Yeah, and that's not even considering that advanced barbarian course had not been released, either. She was also a very nice person, too.
  13. Lover Romeo is was actually an extremely impressive skiller. First to 200m agil AND mining(mining before LRC and obviously WBs, used to be about as hard as rc, 70-80 k/h at granite).
  14. It's 4.67M miles, but it's unlikely you'd have got all ship parts by then.
  15. Yea, but noone knows the max distance. Most are expecting it to be 5M but who knows(people complained about us only going to 27% of pincers so...).
  16. RS wiki has been wrong about over 90% new ports stuff. The port score stuff, they have just been winging it, guessing from one end to the other with no apparent logic. And i mean, the max port score is still unknown as of right now anyway so how could they be right? Anyway, the first people will get fleet admiral titles back in a few days.
  17. Well, the Fleet Admiral title as it is right now promises to actually be pretty exclusive. The max port score should be somewhere around 3550.
  18. They changed it to 3500 last week. 3k was clearly too little. jay, it also depends on how fast you go. I was barely short while some other distance rushers didn't get everything aswell.
  19. airut are over 350k attack xp an hour with drygores, but you miss quite a bit even with those. Bring an iron titan to increase the xp even further and be sure to only attack those on 4 legs.
  20. Which just goes to show jagex should be hosting half-xp weekends instead. Nonetheless, staggering numbers, particularly for maxed accounts. Would be nice to see one for 200m xp (or 100m) aswell.
  21. You can also manually start revolution by using any ability manually. Overall, if you learn to use it, it's 95% as effective as combat was before, only you click tens of times less.
  22. Well, for one, the one wisp(assuming you did things efficiently) would be in the spot that should be replaced by exile first, and exiles should in general be high priority in the shield. Secondly, the crew bonus only applies if you use them and again, what voyages are you really going to use them on? And third, the xp bonus is basically negligible. Here is an example of someone going a wisp-based route and someone going the efficiency route both in the shield and similar distance: [hide=pics] [/hide]
  23. I already posted about every trade good mission in the thread except for 4/6 duo voyages(not going to reroll adv 1000 times for those, but many of them are based on standard logic for example 16 plate= seafaring solo). Based on that, given that of the normal TG missions only 1/8 is solo and only 3/9 adv single ones are solo, 4 exile is in all likelyhood the best. I managed island unlock yesterday on my second try. Did'nt post because, for those that pay attention, the information we had about shield crew more than a month ago had all been true. So in the same line... (solidarity+125)
  24. Actually the rates for pincers, loop and shield with max crew and merchant are 0.46, 0.5 and 0.53 TG/ph assuming 100, 100 and 77% successrate(28k single stat with merchant). Overall, when you factor in partial success and the fact that the voyages themselves are slightly longer, shield still has a slight edge. FotS is also much more useful for shield TG voyages. Another thing to consider is the trader. If the azure-to-TG rate is somewhere in the 300-350 range then some people will still be doing pure azure missions to also amass trade goods.
  25. I mean, they nerfed both, but have a reasonable progression for cotta-to-azure. If you really think about it, the difficulty of the loop is resources while the difficulty of the shield are the high requirements(the absolute endgame max you can get for some missions is 80%- that's it).
