  1. I'd really wait for revolution in your situation. Then you could be atleast ~70% efficient, more if you bother to use thresholds. Momentum is quite terrible. In general, higher level monsters should be preferred, something like airut if you can do them well(only attack the ones weak to you and are able to either KO/stun when they spec).
  2. Also if Legacy combat returns with special attacks claws will once again be useful to at least a small segment. They will be useful to people between 60 and 70 attack More like against people below 70 def but yea, they will still be basically worthless(unless chaotic claws inherit the spec, ofcource, and even then the token cost might ruin it).
  3. Not all market changes follow common logic. In this case, it's likely that people were/are speculating with it's price, causing it to fluctuate. Just look at dragon claws- they are still just as worthless as before, but the price is still higher. On the topic, i managed to get an orb, then a wand and finally a whip on the same task today. The wand/orb are already at their GE prices.
  4. If 200m is your goal(assuming you play efficiently) you shouldn't solo dg, which is the point of this thread. In that case you should continue to do your lower floors as c2's and do higher floors as 5:5 larges. You will max dg way before fishing and later will do c2 frozen floors only.
  5. It depends on if you need fishing/woodcutting xp. For dungeoneering, c6 is better, but c2'ing gets your low dungeons done for 'free'.
  6. I'm actually not convinced that's true We do C2s because there aren't bonus rooms and the monsters are low combat It was my application to grimys idea that first started the c2 era.
  7. I'm relatively sure there are alot less resources in c6- as in the total number is higher, but they are distributed between more skills. That's the basis of why c2's were chosen in the first place. C6'es will definitely give much better dg xp, however and only be negligibly harder. One armor piece should generally be more than enough. I use wep, body, hood and neck, in large dungeons would switch the neck to second wep.
  8. I don't see how the shield special unit can be seen as a buffed up JoD in any way. Far from it, it's just another wisp like triple and speed unit that will very likely have the ralling cry trait. Jod bonus is actually +200 to +600(captain is also considered), and because of it will still be a part of the ideal crew setup for the shield. It's highly likely jagex noticed this and thus discontinued the solidarity series(just as the new merchant is rather lackluster). It's foolish to expect to exploit the same shortcomings or oversight for a second time.
  9. Yesh butt brain explode when try tink tis very hard vork. But yeah, in general, particularly nowadays when charms pop into your inv automatically and you can get atleast twice as many charms an hour as you used to, doing the lower charms is not only ineffective/inefficient but also unintelligent.
  10. I'd like to believe QBD would still be better. 10% of the drops are already in cash, and most of the raw goods, when processed, also alch for alot. Alot of the rarer drops also alch for a nice amount where as sirenic scales and razorback gaunts don't.
  11. Well, that's the thing about this topic. We can talk all we want about the nitty gritty like what binds he should or shouldn't have, but that actually makes quite a negligible difference when compared to what he likely lacks in dungeoneering prowess- pathing, gating, prioritizing, proper dpsing, high APM and so fourth. To me, medium dungeons are just the right size that i don't have to analyze anything- i can just rush trough them without remembering anything and never use the map- however, this approach makes me a crappy dungeoneer when it comes to large dungeons. Small dungeons are too mind numbing to me when you have to start a new one every 3 minutes. Since the OP does not have any lofty goals i think it's best not to go further and direct him to any dungeoneering research that would help tremendously but would mean he'd have to make a serious commitment to the skill. Q; in potting i meant the pot you get for free at the start of a dungeon. That's part of the reason one style is so much better than any other. I also don't think he will have to face too many t10/t11 enemies, and they all have very little LP anyway.
  12. You do understand that the question is flawed in that it considers money to be something that is accumulated just for the sake of it? There are DIY-ers in the game, have been almost from the start of it. They don't have huge piles of coins. Even the ones that have nay-on everything and a bank value way beyond the average player. Why? because if you avoid trading, there is very little to do with cash.
  13. Interestingly, i've had the exact same luck, doing one forced task every day. The worst thing is that what jagex considers an improved drop table is taking a huge dump on the herbicide(talking particularly about black demons). May be considered spam, but Ove, nice to freaking "see" you. To stay on topic, what do you reckon the drop rate for wand/orb is? And do you think they have altered the whip drop rate(confirmed by Jagex at 1/512 if I am not mistaken). I am bringing this subject up because I have seen a lot of people prompting "I have killed 2xxx abyssal demons" and not getting even a whip drop. Yea, nice to 'see' you aswell. Congratz on getting your name....as your name :D Life just goes by way too fast. Gotta make an effort to meet up some time, though. Whip droprate definitely hasn't changed, but i'm guessing orb/wand droprate is about double that. Which is probably a reach considering it can only be dropped on task.

  15. As far as i've seen, at maxed stats, when soloing, it's really not necessary. Particularly when you consider prayer, potting and sniper bonus, you will have atleast 70% accuracy against anything(and 100% accuracy against the vast majority). It's basically like slayer nowadays- if you have t90 available, you don't need to worry about attack style.
  16. Maybe I've been fortunate as of late but I dont have any issues hitting the speed req without wisps. Again, the crew is for the shield, not loop. The seafaring hull has 300 speed less than the one we have right now, so yeah, you will definitely run into speed issues in the shield, even with shield rudder. Edit: Just did random 5 times in beta, once for real:
  17. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AldEhLOK6ejJdDhtR2ZSNGFhX3p2UXhVWTNDdXpKaGc#gid=3 Idk if we can still do anything with this Not much i suppose as it's meant for the usual c1/5:5 large dungeoneering part. Soloing is much different. That spread also considers the average 5:5 large to take 25 minutes, not the 10 minutes it takes nowadays. As a very general rule to calculate your soloing xp rate, take the lowest medium dungeon you will be doing(at level 60 it should be like 20 or 21) and do it 100%. Then divide the xp by your average time it takes to complete a medium floor and voila. For me that's about 60k xp and 7:30 average but suffice to mention that i'm quite good at solo meds/smalls.
  18. Uhhh, never had that. And i think that might lead to adv rerolls being blocked completely(just as i had my voyage ones). I think it would be good to try and unlock some categories to see if that fixes it(as someone stated earlier). You can do this testing on beta, too.
  19. substitute one s for m, but yeah. part of wisps assignments will be single s missions because of the speed req.
  20. It's impossible for me to tell you an xp rate because it can vary wildly depending on your skill(most dungeoneers will get nowhere near the average times i mentioned) and dungeoneering level- it's not as though anyone would even be able to research it because by simply trying to they'd constantly level. Dungeoneering xp rates in general are hard to consider because of all the factors that would need to be considered. The best solo xp rate at 60 prestige should be somewhere in the 400-500k xp/h range, though(not that this would help you). This is exactly why i told you the what average dungeon times you should strive for(as they depend largely on your dungeoneering prowess and little else), not xp rates.
  21. 4 jod? don't like that because at level 10 loop crew, they will a hindrance for everything but triple missions. 4 jod also assumes you don't do single stat missions. 3 is more than enough to me. Ox is pointless. One wisp can be useful.
  22. Actually, when soloing, it's not worth doing c1 floors(c2's are still ok if you finish them, though). Generally, it's worth doing the first ~70% of the floors available as c6 small and the other 30% as c6 med. Open all bonus rooms/etc for mediums and don't open too much for smalls. The times you should strive for are 2-3 mins for c6 small and 7-9 mins for c6 med. You will definitely not get that good at first, but you should get better as time goes on. As for equipment, if you have t10/t11 ranged available, that's the best style. I don't think it's worth using more than one style. With ranged you should have ring on desperado and secondary as sniper.
  23. Anyway, quotes from much earlier in this thread: Do you all still have every random event item capped except for adv rerolls? because you should be getting an adv reroll at around a 60% clip. I've had 5/7, so far, though yeah, i've also been lucky with the missions i've got. I was under the impression that that was fixed, so I don't have all items capped. I did get an adventurer reroll (700 steel from the Biologist, nothing else -.-), so even better scroll luck there -.-. They have never fixed anything...
  24. Well, evidently, it's not patched. All they fixed is the fact that you can't get many randoms in one day. Also, it's not as though i'm getting 3 adv rerolls every day- i've never gotten more than one and the other two rewards have usually been things that are capped(apart from when i've used fots/rare chance of voyage). Oh, you're saying that you'll only get 2 capped rewards from each random? That might actually be true. There is around 20-30% chance that i get 3 capped rewards. Other than that, yeah, the usual reward is adv reroll/voyage reroll and 2 capped rewards.
