Personally, Bladewing gave me good advice and he wasnt mean or anything in his posts for me..so I'm kinda lost on the issue there.. OT: I feel that tip.it had always been an elitist's forum. But to me, that is the reason I've always stayed with tip.it. I've been playing on and off for years, and whenever I come back, tip.it forum is my first stop. Why? Information. I have ~30 quests left to clear, most of which are harder ones I guess. Based on stats in my sig, which quests should I give priority to? Are there like any critical quests I should take care of first, e.g. RFD for barrow gloves, Fairies.. Good for Jagex on really upping the crackdown on botting. Tho its a bit sad that they have to resort to such a Flintstone way of catching em, especially after announcing they have some almighty bot-nuker..

It took me >3 years to get 99 cooking..so I'm proud of that. Thank god for no more lob/swordie certs! When skillcapes came out, it's just a nice touch I guess. Besides, the cape goes well with my favourite outfit...

Bladewing and Quyneax gave me some good advice couple months back, so I'd go with DG then and get myself a snazzy rapier to help max melee and maybe get 85 slayer later! So that's 81 DG for a rapier, right? I think I it took me like an hour to get 3k xp last nite. lvl 81 is 2m+ xp?!...huhuhu.. :wall: Guess I'll go read up all those DG guides first. Thanks tipiters!

Well, simple question. Should I continue on my 85 slayer goal, or stop and give priority in raising other skills first, like DG, etc? Just completed DG tutorial 2 days ago..haha.. My stats for reference: My goals were 85 slayer (whips were 2-3m then I think), 90 crafting (still have it banked) and 99 magic (alching the things i craft). Tho now, it seems like slayer is nowhere near a good moneymaker it once was (even D boot prices dropped a lot). On the side, I'm also trying to do all hard tasks (still left seers and fremmy) and quests (I miss wearing my quest cape)..

Tho with free trade back, the hordes of RWT will also be back. There would more likely be an influx of GP, unless more crackdowns are made on botters/rwters. I'm just using rough estimates that I can remember over the years now. Each time I check back on RS, I usually check blue phat price..the prices, I'm quite sure, the years, may be off by 1 or even 2, so just correct me if im wrong... 5m - before rs2, 2002 (someone help me with the actual years please) 100m - 2004 500m - 2006 2b - 2007 (i think GE price is ~500m after trade limit, cant remember) 1b - 2008 (street price) 6b - 2010 (street price) 3b - 2011 (street price) Just wanted to show that blue phat price increases were more significant before trade limits were in place. And even after trade limit, in 3 years, blue phat prices still raised substantially! So now, with free trade back, it wont be too surprising to see blue phat hit 5-6b by next year. And purples might hit 2b if blues are at 6b..

Its ironic that in this argument, everyone actually AGREES that ddef > dfs..there really isnt a point to continue arguing..

I'll look thru my junks once I get members. I'm slowly valuing my bank and kinda surprised my gems are worth over 40m. About the phats, I guess I didn't face the kind of prices current players do. It was a simpler time back when I got it. I think I got the blue for 5k cooked lob certs, which is about 5m. 3m/hr?! Thanks! Thanks so much. I'll look more into this once I study more on street prices. But it's looking like my best option if I want hard fast 500m cash, and buy/keep raw mats to use for skilling in the future. Oh and thanks for making very nice spreadsheets! lol i worked damn hard for what i have. one year ago i had less than 200m to my name. with a ton of boss hunting and a little ge sniping i worked my way up to a green partyhat and a divine spirit shield. how can i hoard if i don't even have multiples, lol? OP is like 5x richer than i am anyway, if anyone i'm the poor noob lol.and as others have said you should really consider every other option (including just making more money!) before you sell to the ge (or trade red for divine and ge the divine)...For what its worth, I dont think u'r trying to scam me at all. I'm sorry but how do I end up with 400m from that. Does the seller add another 400m cash to his offer or do I go and sell off the items for cash?! I checked out the divine shield but I'd probably not get it right now. No plans to fight huge scary critters yet. Converting the red for cash may be an idea I guess. Good time to come back?! I just got back to RS after a couple years and plan to get members again. I was going thru some of the forums to catch up on updates and stuff. But it seems there's too many for me to process, so I think I'll just jump into it once I get members. Maybe try get back quest cape (I always loved questing). Anyway, I saw the GE prices for rares have skyrocketed since I left. I think back then, santa was ~10m and phats were 200-400m. Now, they are 500m+ with this thing called street prices that I still dont completely understand. I'd like to go back to killing and skilling but at a loss at which to prioritise. As I see it, prayer, herb and summoning is way great for me to raise slayer/melee now. If I plan to get decent levels in these, do I need to sell off my rares or is it enough to sell off other stuff inside my bank to raise these skills? If i remember, my old goals were 85 slayer, 99 magic and 90 crafting. But if anyone has better suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks. For reference, my current skill levels and bank below. there should be more armor, since there's bound to be a lot of solo monster hunters for now (till lootshare is changed). so we can safely expect barrow armours to rise for a while, due to ppl equipping their chars with gears to hunt monsters. then after a while, prices will drop since everyone will hunt monsters. i already see a lot more ppl at barrows than i used to...

Some simple comments/suggestions: - Add account age with exponential increase of limit. Biased to benefit me (2001 char) and also because its more fair than just using skill total. Bots running 24/7 could get high skill totals. - Tournaments won instead of duels completed. Less chance of players with high wins being bots as opposed to bots dueling each other countless times. - Players killed count is from Bounty Hunter only (refer above). Not sure if what the term killed means anymore, but this would sort of be in line with Jagex's anti-RWT initiative, as with the above. And there should still be a hard cap for each contributing factor and the overall limit. They're not foolproof, like there may suddenly be hundreds of bots killing each other in BH, so feel free to iron out the [racist term]s.

haha...i kinda missed it too. was 96 cooking by the time rs went 3d i think. cant remember. made some nice friends in draynor. a lot of good ppl/players back then. theres some too now, but not as many. oh well.

Very nice work @ 98 cb. now get back to training cb, own stronger bosses and makes tons more monayy....im sure u could.

slightly off-topic: i've used bgs but not zgs and our stats arent too far off. my opinion is that its a waste of a full bar of spec to use bgs spec on kq. the hit probability over spec energy usage isnt really worth it. d mace, or maybe even d hally would be better. however, i did use bgs spec since i wanted to save inventory spot for an extra food. to me that's fair trade-off. on topic: stick with bgs. worth the extra 3-5mil (i think) in price difference.

everyone has a point. jagex prolly didnt want to kill dragon boots right after release. BUT.. ...they may add the str bonus later on, just like how rune/addy boots didnt have str bonus b4. who knows, right? tho if that were to happen, all those people that put bandos boots on GE and didnt take it out before update would prolly cry...

if u rly want to sell unenchanted rings to members, stick to sapphire and ruby rings. recoil (sapphire) and forging (ruby) rings can be sold in larger quantities over dueling (emerald) or life (diamond), in theory at least. maybe stick to 70:30 ratio of sapphire:ruby if u have limited cashflow capability. price? have to let someone else answer that since im out of touch with rs market. good luck.
