uhhh since we're on the topic of being off topic, personal attacks, and efficiency: efficiency is about REDUCING the amount of time you spend doing things you don't enjoy so you can access the content you do enjoy faster. i don't see why you are so mad about that. edit: back on topic: you seem to be really opposed to my opinion. which is odd, because i mostly agree with you:

Did lower rares turn? Last I heard, santa's and masks were unsellable in the GE, and had to be sold 80 20 on the forums... Did you just associate psychopathy with playing RuneScape? Since no sane person finds serial murder fun, you're either saying all Level 99 firemakers are psychopaths or you're talking out your jacksy. yeah basically i am saying that people who enjoy firemaking OUTSIDE THE CIRCUMSTANCES of chatting with friends, leveling up, interracting with players, wearing a nifty cape, getting 200m xp or high ranked total, et al. are definitely in the minority, and whose actions may fall under psychological disorder.

you have yet to prove that it is impossible for someone to enjoy cooking without additional stimuli. while you, me, and perhaps the majority of players would not find it fun, i find it ridiculous that you claim that it is impossible for it to be fun.

lots of stuff in runescape is not fun. for me, that constitutes every skill but attack, strength, defence, hitpoints, ranged, slayer, magic, (sometimes) dungeoneering, and DIY herblore. i maintain that killing monsters is fun. i know some disagree with me, but to me it is fun slaughtering thousands of dagannoths per hour with a cannon, steel titan, rapier, turmoil, overloads. however, killing 200 yaks an hour is not fun to me (as well as many others).

the intent was to get a divine and a green phat, not to increase my street wealth.

uhh i sold my red phat for a green and a purple, then worked the purple up to a divine. is that considered a "merchant"? that label is used so loosely, lol. people who call others merchants generally think that they have dozens of partyhats and billions in cash, junk, and risings. not everyone who sells a phat is a merchant by that definition.

my point is a small one, but it is that the editor, knowing that the majority of readers prefer content articles to fictionals, should have put them in the right order. imagine if your newspaper put advertisements and want ads only on the front page? yes some people do enjoy advertisements and want ads first and foremost, but the majority want the news first.

why is the fictional article first? no offense to the author but i don't want to read that crap, it's not my cup o' tea. in response to the second article: okay. there's not really much to it but a brief summary of the viewpoints of the last 10 pages of general disc and the last few months of the times articles. the only thing i could even find to comment on is "Skillers are an endangered species in Runescape, mostly because when people hear skilling they immediately think of grinding" imo, skillers are endangered because they're useless but for their use as an epeen enlarger. only thing i could really comment on - the article was kind of lacking in substance for discussion.

1. pull all the healers onto you 2. run several spaces away from jad so that all 4 are near you and away from jad 3. continue killing jad don't forget to switch prayers

^ generally a 110 combat with 100 dungeoneering and a hood is more valuable to me than a 138 with 80 dungeoneering and a promethium spear. it'd be ridiculous to only make it 130+. simply allowing for a player to choose the minimum level would be enough.

ls + div > rapier/maul at tds with steel titan basically i would say ls if you have divine, maul if you don't.
