  1. depends on how fast you kill the cyclopes. i can get a defender about every 100 tokens because i use extremes and turmoil with void and rapier, but if you use full rune and a dragon longsword without pots or prayer you'll get them a lot slower. my advice is get 1000 tokens and see how far that gets you.
  2. if you DON'T buy anything you are a drain on the economy. i prefer a lazy person to a freeloader.
  3. i'll stick to burning magics at the ge, but whatever floats your boat
  4. you do realize claws can hit over 1000 right
  5. cause it's so much more fun to have a sword that is about 50% longer. much preferable to actually killing stuff faster.
  6. it's fun didn't know i needed any additional reasons
  7. okay then the verdict is: if you don't want to soulsplit: karils and melee pray w/ unicorn if you don't mind soulsplitting and/or want to use a yak: bandos and mage pray
  8. I don't understand why people keep saying this- their melee attacks are far more accurate and hit for more on bandos than their magic attack does on karils, and also, as their range attack is mage based, you will be better protected against that aswell. I'm sure bandos works fine when you can constantly ss flick, but with karils, unicorn easily covers the healing. because bandos gives a strength bonus, or veracs gives a prayer bonus. you can heal enough with soulsplit that you don't even need a unicorn and can use yak if you want. it actually seemed to me that their melee less accurate on bandos w/ turmoil and overload than their magic attack on karils. no hard data here, since it doesn't really matter either way. i just use bandos for strength bonus.
  9. wear barrows/bandos and pray mage instead
  10. voluntary response bias people are at least 100 times more likely to screen capture a fury orn kit reward than a dragon dagger, 3 super sets, and 8 biscuits same reason why you hear "o ya i got visage in 100 kills" more often than "o ya i got visage in 20,000 kills"
  11. he could have misread "selling PUMP 500m" for "selling PURP 500m"
  12. variety of reasons, such as alerts for overload wearing off alerts for familiar/antifire timers knowing what style jad is using off screen alert when a monster dies by cannon so i can see if the drop is good etc. but since the update i have turned them off
  13. spirit mages are actually one of kuradal's worst tasks and a very good candidate for skipping. before someone shouts at me, they are terrible xp, around 32k xp/h at MAX speed, including steel titan. also you can only expect to make about 2m/h on them, so they really are pretty pathetic. also no charms.
  14. herblore is well worth getting up just for the overloads. the extra benefit of the EEE is free.
  15. aeil's post looked good. be sure to get an amulet of fury, and berserker/archer/seers rings as well.
  16. weren't you just telling everyone that SGS with the correct choice over EE? a person can bloody well use whatever spec weapon they want in RS. we are talking, objectively, about which is superior. neither fun nor psychological soundness because you have rationalized a bad choice fit in the realm of objective discussion of which is better.
  17. if you don't need the ee for healing 400 on a monster, you shouldn't be using either and should buy d claws or korasi's sword or dds. and you don't use sara items at spirit mages, you use zamorak. this thread is 100% rationalization to justify why you continue to keep your overpriced and underpowered sword.
  18. exactly... this belongs in the player behavior sticky.
  19. frosties don't drop them. i would do slayer and skip every task that doesn't drop elites.
  20. players voted on this reward, so thank your fellow scapers, not jagex.
  21. isn't 200 page limit an RSOF thing
  22. melee is the most powerful everywhere except armadyl, dagannoth prime/rex, and a few dungeoneering bosses so i use melee mostly
  23. i find it odd that you cite the existence of unhealthy portions of the economy (such as botting) for why the economy is a house of cards, yet you seek to perpetuate the unhealthy economy that are platebody smithing and bow making by means of price floors (alchemy), lol. remove alchemy: fletching now is trained by arrow making and bolt fletching. demand for logs recedes; log prices fall. increased demand for arrowtips and unfinished bolts increase their respective prices. smithing would still be trained by the rich/impatient with platebodies, but more scrupulous players would making arrowtips and bolts. bar and ore prices would fall. as you see, alchemy ultimately keeps gathering profits and production losses artificially high.
