Hey all, quick question regarding barrow drop rates. I am currently only killing Ahrim and Karil in hopes of DIY'ing my weapons, but I have noticed that my average rune drops per brother is a lot less than my average rune drops per brother had I killed 6. My question is, if I only kill 2 brothers, would the chance of getting items, per brother the same as killing 6?

The Ultimate Trimmed Completionist Cape!?!??!?

Solo kill every boss in the game naked (except those that is completely and totally immune to fists), without using Any pots, food, prayer or farmiliar, or dying, or teleporting, or abilities. For extra added particle effects: complete the above without losing any health. -
None of the Enchanted Emerald bolts can fire from Rune crossbow. Emerald & Ruby : T60 (No known 1h or 2h crossbows that are T60 atm except dragon 2h crossbow) Diamond & Dragon Stone: T70 (Armadyl) Onyx : T80 (Chaotic)

From what I can see, Dual wield is very underpowered atm because there are very few abilities that actually use damage from both hands (Melee had 2 basics, but thanks to Jagex, it's down to 1 as they share CD), and all other basics, and many of the thresholds and all ultimates simply do not take OH weapon damage into account, meaning, a DW at the moment does about the same amount of dps as MH/shield, the only significant loss being lack of Smite, and the lack of OH auto attacks.. I was merely curious as to how bad the situation technically is.

After being rather disappointed at Havoc and Smite sharing a CD, and the apparent total lack of performance from my EEE yesterday, I have raised some questions if anyone could help me: 1. Does EEE heal on ability hits? And do SGS or Guthan? I am almost certain the SGS do heal on abilities, and Guthan don't. 2. Let's assume the following. I hit a monster with an autoattack (AA) from my MH weapon, and then I use an ability right at the same tick as my OH AA is due: A. Will my OH AA be interrupted/skipped? B. Will my next AA be from MH or OH? C. Same as B, but assume I started with an OH AA instead of a MH AA? I know these questions might sound far too deep for a new combat system, but I still like to understand the reason behind the lack of healing from my EEE. SGS is looking like a mightily good choice for me right about now...

It's better than rune (which has been rendered to trash now because It cannot even fire Emerald Bolts (e), let alone higher (e) bolts). But Armadyl, on the virtue of it being able to fire Diamond Bolts (e) and Dragon Bolts (e) (AP and JHP rounds), is superior for boss hunts than Dragon Crossbows. All in all, there are better choices to Slay with, and there are better choice to Boss hunt with, so nothing i'd burn my wallet for.

So in essence the guide to repairing a fully broken Barrows armor set (or rather, 4 sets) is to apparently quit RS? Right... But, thanks to that video, Barrow repairs are now known to have increased 3 fold from old. From the vid, 4 sets of fully broken barrows is 3.96M, meaning a set is 990k, which is exactly 3x from 330k from before for a fully broken set. I thought it'd be worse, much worse. But right now it still costs 10's of full repairs before barrows starts of cost more than GWD armors

It has no Smite, so doubt it is.

I would love to get back on crew again, but unfortunately due my work schedules, as well as being in the worst time zone possible, is not going to win points here for keeping up with crew work. (Reminds me the days where KiaraKat was the leader) -
And I stand by my verdict that I am currently residing in the worst possible timezone. Given my work schedule and my timezone, and despite the number of these events, I will not be able to make it to any event. The early morning events are too late for me, and the late events are too early (ironic).

Or just lack of players. Pretty sure I am the only person on this forsaken Island playing RS (Taiwan). But limiting it to store cards is a bit harsh though, i would have settled for buying several months of members for those

And once again, those countries who can only pay for their subs from Credit card gets left outside in the Antarctica...

I'll be holding off a bit until the release of EoC. Want to see if Invigorate is better for adrenaline build up or Inspiration. Seems like Invigorate would be the most economical choice -
I beg to differ on your view on that one. Ranged 2h, I agree, there is not an awful lot of 1h choices, and none of them are particularly easy to get either, so 2h are easy. However, 2h Magic, from my testing, is nowhere near as efficient as Wand/Orb or even Wand/Shield, because you get no damage bonus (as far as I am aware) from your staff, only your accuracy, at a massive cost to speed (2.4s Vs. 3.6s), so unless the extra accuracy bonus increases your chance hit to hit significantly, I think Wand/Anything combo is better than Staff. Dual wield Melee has the impression of sucking probably because a lot of skills on the skills page do their damage based on their MH weapon ONLY, where one should be using as many DW only melee skills to get the most out of DW, since those are the only skills that do damage from both weapons. Some might not have realised it and just simply used any skill they can see, which is why it seems to do less damage than 2h's. 2h certainly have more skills to choose from (1h and 2h skills are equally good for them), but DW is in no way inferior.

Damage of Public Morale, 3 years Involuntary bodily harm to Citizens, 5 years Crime against reason.... ... Death... *Shoots* Back on topic... When one of my co workers makes it public knowledge on my office floor that I am hitting on someone, when I am actually not.

Two completely separate matters: 1. Re: SLI. If my motherboard (Specifically the Asus P8P67) has 2 Graphics ports, and I install 1 card per each port, would my motherboard specifically state it supports SLI in order for it to be SLI'able, or would it suffice just to have the Graphics card support them? Also, if I choose to SLI, would it be better to have similar Graphics card or would it not matter if I had one nVidia and the other ATI? 2. Second, regarding IP addresses. Lately my hobby has been picking out scientific inaccuracies within the current TV shows (such as Nuclear experimental physicists depicted as knowing how to arm nuclear warheads), but something boggled me for a while. In a lot of the TV shows (yes, I know they are known for exaggeration) they depict that they were able to track the location of a computer by back tracking an IP address, pretty much almost instantaneously, and were able to give an exact physical address. A. Is back tracking like that possible? Is it that fast? B. Is it possible, like in the TV shows, to be able to pin point your physical address? Assume legalities are not an issue here.

That I think has to do with ranged abilities lacking in ones that deal damage from both weapons (compared that to melee, which has 2 basics, 2 Thresholds and 2 Ultimates that I can remember), hence why 2h are better atm, since most abilities (unless they say it deals damage from both weapons) only base on your MH, your OH being left out in the cold. Once we get a few abilities, most importantly, a few basic abilities, that deal damage from both ranged weapons, we might once again see DW being the setup of choice. I have no problems with the current setup though, it's good to have some sort of variation rather than dual wield your way across everything

Oh I know how to switch, I have several fire capes from before Ganodermics. I wanted to try ganodermics this time since it's my first time trying Jad with the new healer mechanics, thinking it might be the 'safe' side. Turns out it's probably not so true :P I was kind of afraid that i wouldn't be able to lure the healers far away enough to stop them from healing. Although this adds another question, can blocked healers heal, or must the healer able to attack in order to heal?

While there can be a lot to manage on the old combat system (like you said, potting, fooding, prayer flashing), the Clan I am in have a general consensus that they can't handle that many things at the same time due to advanced player age. On harder enemies, yes, there is plenty to do, but for the slayer targets, most of these can be reduced, or outright ignored, which is what my clan mates are used to, like, and most importantly, capable of. A lot of them will definitely have problems trying to learn even the basics of rotation on EoC. The reason why I used the words AFK to Button smashing is probably an exaggeration, I admit, but I was trying to point out that, to some, the minimum attention threshold for the old combat styles is lower than the new combat system. (I know many, if not most of my clan members will be using momentum, or just simply not do combat from eoc onwards).
-
Yeah, I did try using the Ganodermics, but eventually I had to resort to prayer switching, RNG wasn't nice to me yesterday, and I had no experience with the healers post update, jad managed to wear me out (down 3 flasks of brews and 10 rocktails)

When you consider that in other games, Betas are massively oversubscribed on a regular basis, that's probably a talking point in itself. How can Jagex account for the apathy shown towards EoC by the RuneScape community? That's probably because those games have a much lower level cap than Runescape, which takes forever compared to the likes of WoW and such, therefore they would lose out the grinding time by playing uncompensated Betas (IE RS have time to lose, others have nothing better to do). Also, the other reasons why RS community don't like what it is seeing is: 1. It is an extremely drastic change compared to what the combat was for the past decade, and in such drastic changes, people gets split, and one of them is very anti-change (the conservative bunch). It has changed from an AFK type combat to button smashing combat, I dont think it can get anymore different. 2. People were already discontent with Jagex and/or for a while before EoC, therefore most people just use EoC just as an excuse to quit' (I know I have done with before, with MoP from WoW. I used Kung Fu Panda and Pokemon ripoff as excuse to drive myself away from it, when what really driving me away was the player community and the way Blizzard had changed). If people were more happy with Jagex than they do now, EoC probably wont be as ignored by the player base as they are now. 3. Apart from preparation, game play wise there is nothing really to be gained from playing Beta for extended periods of time, unlike games who releases beta game content, as to give them advantage to get world-first achievements. No such scenario exist for RS, giving the players no real big reason to play beta for any length of time other than get acquainted with the content.

hey all, Anyone know how far away would I have to lure the healers from Jad for them to stop healing him? Also, during my last attempt, I managed to let the healers heal Jad fully (don't ask...), and when I killed the healers (all 4), and attacked jad, they respawned at half health (naturally). My question is: if I left one of them alive in that scenario, would they respawn? Lastly, if the healers do not respawn in the above scenario, would I be able to deal enough damage to outpace the lone healer? (assuming 99 magic with polypore staff).
