  1. 50 slayer would be a good place to start, allows access to slayer dart and use of broad bolts, though your higher magic spells will eventually out do slayer dart. Attack and strength of 80 or so is a good place to aim as a starting point, obviously higher the better. Desert treasure isn't strictly necessary, but it helps tremendously with the Canifis house portal, cuts down your travelling time a lot. The blood/ice spells are also nice. If you are quest fan, consider working towards Branches of Darkmeyer (quite high requirements, skill and quest wise), as it gives access to the Drakan Medallion, has a teleport that literally put you at barrows. You don't need to kill Vanstrom to access the teleport. While you don't need desert treasure for this quest line, it is a lot longer than DT, and has 67 slayer requirement as well.
  2. I count myself as one of the more casual players (although one could debate whether burning nearly 10k vyres and shades as 'sane'), I don't particularly strive for max xp/hour, although I sometimes do if it isn't out of my way to do it. What I think have changed more is the community attitude as a whole compared to say... 2006 or 2007 (which I thought was one of the highest points in the community), but then it slowly drifted down, and unfortunately, I don't see it stopping anytime soon. I am not saying there are no more fun/nice people around (there still is plenty), but you will get your daily share of players whose internal brain OS is several years/decades out of date and needs updating (aka immature)
  3. It should be possible, but your only option would be to to mage them. Yes, I know magic is your lowest skill, but your melee stats are simply far too low to melee them with any degree of efficiency. Use slayer darts for your magic, if you dont have slayer, I suggest either Fire Bolts with Chaos Gauntlets if you are strapped for cash, Wind blast if you are not, mage all but Ahrim (mage Karil, counter-intuitively its magic def is laughable for a ranger), range Ahrim with red d-hides and Magic short. Alternatively, get your ranged to level 61 and use rune crossbow instead of MSB (equipped with broad bolts if you have 50 slayer, adamant bolts otherwise). Due your low stats, you will probably need to pray against all brothers for the first couple of tries in prayer/magic gear. Once you get a hang of it, start maging them in melee armor for safety. Guthan and verac are the biggest nightmare to lower levels. However, I do highly suggest you get your magic higher, so you have access to better spells and equipment. with 50 magic your options are quite limited, I suggest at the very least to level 70, 80 preferably so you can use polypore staff
  4. there is currently difficulty in even seeing KBD at the moment, it dies as soon as it spawns
  5. The Dragon Rider gloves and boots are the same stats as the Rune Culinaromancer's gloves and Rune boots, except with a +3 prayer. both starting at 2.5M on GE. KBD also haven't been increased in strength, so it remains soloable
  6. At higher thieving levels, I'd suggest switching to keeping only Gold seals instead of stone seals, as stone seals seems to be rarer than gold seals at later rooms.
  7. $5? That's cheaper than the DLC on Xbox.... I might actually grab it, though it has been a while since I even loaded up Skyrim. I always wanted a house that I can 'customise'
  8. They look good on paper, literally in this case, the game models for them are actually quite hideous... And I am not saying this because I can't afford them, but I'd rather get outfits instead of those hairs.
  9. Door to door cosmetics salesman was my first job
  10. I may have considered it, if they weren't so hideous in look... I prefer the free ones over those...
  11. My money's on a major glitch causing many rares made into a customizable piece to disappear in the first few days. Jagex will apologize but point to their rule about not returning lost items. Secretly, Jagex figures out how many rares were actually lost then puts those back in the GE at mid price. My money on the other hand is on the players hoaxing the said glitch, hoping to cause an artificial rise in rares and profit from it.
  12. Not every game makes cosmetics stuff tradeable. In fact, most games I know don't. Wow certainly dont, and Runes of Magic do not allow it directly (you can buy the currency required to buy the cosmetic items from other people with gold, but the developers, as far as I know it, frown upon it). I don't think they are being total 'bleeps' for following the trend of every other MMORPG on the planet. Subscription MMO's are a dying breed, and before RS, Rift was the only other Sub based game that do not have Micros, WoW had it for a long time. Most F2P games, if you have played any of them to any great extent, are F2P, P2W games (free to play, pay to win), ie it is free, but if you want to experience end game content, unless you have plenty of time grinding for in game items other players will trade with you, you will eventually have to use Micro, in fact to some extent a player may end up paying more than subscription based games. So in a way, at least RS's Solomon's is only strictly cosmetic, you don't need to buy a single thing from it to play end game content, I don't see a problem with that at all whatsoever. So I treat this in much higher regard than so called 'F2P' games (quotation because no game is truly free to play, unless you either have insane amounts of time, or you don't want to play the end game). SoF on the other hand...
  13. Although I'd still recommend that you use Ganodermics with Polypore staff, even with the insta-kill dart, Jad has a possibility to one hit KO you if you ranged, since you still have to survive at the very least first hit if you cannot see jad. Wearing Ganodermics while praying ranged makes it impossible, if not very unlikely, that he will be able to kill you first hit. I recommended polypore staff because it is simply much faster than using Broad bolts.
  14. Happy Buffday Magey!

  15. The destroy text for Was and Ankh was switched
  16. I know it's old, but Vampirism can be countered by: 1. Carrying LOTS of Anti-disease potions, or just visit a shrine anytime you are contacted, this removes the disease, but I don't think it works if you are a full vampire 2. There is an anti-vampirism ritual you can perform once you are a full vampire, you can do it infinite number of times, but you need a filled black soul stone everytime (a certain Daedric artifact that replicates the function of a Black soul stone does not work) 3. Get Lycanthropy, and keep it, you become immune to all diseases while you have it (which includes Vampirism), and the passive does not need you to go into werewolf form. However this prevents you from being a full on vampire lord during Dawnguard questline, and if you already got your lycanthropy cured, you can only contact it again, after that, you can never get lycanthropy if you cure it a second time.
  17. If you are reading this Sonikku, an excerpt from Jagex'es facebook account: Hi guys, Please accept our sincere apologies for the recent mistake. Unfortunately, whilst updating our systems, a human error occurred which resulted in the accidental banning of a selection of online accounts. These bans have now been reverted and we will be rebooting the servers shortly to ensure that all accounts can log in as normal. Please be assured that no accounts have remained altered due to this issue. Again, we are extremely sorry for our error. Better check your account again
  18. Congratulations Kimberly! Your grenade throwing certainly made you a master at bows! Just be careful where you shoot, we still do need the sun :P
  19. I cannot count how many times I have lost Pyre Logs/Shade Keys/Columbarium Keys because of randoms...
  20. Considering the time it was banned, the amount of legit players vs gold farmers in China and their possible ignorance/lack of willingness to look into possible causes of that ban, throwing in the Towel seems an appropriate response, albeit an extremely painful and very undesired one. The reason why I used the Legit players, is because China, Taiwan (where I am from) and Korea are all countries where MMORPG's grow on trees, chances of Runescape ever taking shape in these countries, even considering that they are fully translated, are slim (much of the graphics in MMORPG's available here puts even the best looking western MMORPG's to shame, let alone RS), thus it probably looks to jagex that banning China's entire legit playerbase is an acceptible loss to ban all of their gold farmers. If they are willing to ban China entirely, chances of any Legit chinese players from successfully appealing is going to be slim. I am in no way saying Chinese should not play RS (if I meant to say that, I would have shot myself first), but this entire situation highlights a serious issue with China
  21. Back in the Guthan days, they were seen as good healing targets, that should give you an idea about their lethality.
  22. I don't mind it if it was just simply being owned, but they make it stupid like throwing a "L2P" or "Go play a frost mage" or something ridiculous like that. They grind so they can make life miserable and making it known. Oh, and the whole player 'community' has started really gotten downhill since the Rfd system was implemented, I understand that they wanted to make gear as accessible as possible without having to continuously trying to put people together, but the way they implemented it ended up having the worst side of both having completely seperate servers and cross server services: Anonymity. IE you could act as a total ass and no one would be able to know who you are, because chances are you will be on different servers. If I got 1c for every time a person leaves when they die, they wipe once, the healer couldn't keep up with the tank pulling 50 trash, or just simply when the they have more health than the tank, i'd probably be gold capped on my account. It, thus, have been down to a very outraging, but accurate rule of thumb when it comes to gearing in HC's: if you need gear from HC's, you are not geared for HC's.
  23. WoW died for me when they introduced Kung Fu Panda and Pokemon into it, I won't be returning, ever, unfortunately. Had Pandas been not a playable class, and had they had a completely different pet system, I would have gave it a chance.
