  1. We'll be missing you around these parts Kiara! Of course you're always welcome, as I was when I left the staff. I wish you great success and happiness in your life outside of TIF! Thanks for everything that you've done for the community and the site. ~Lunar
  2. Yea.. I remember getting mine up pretty fast on Trunks as well. After that, it was too expensive to train (to me at the time it was) So I left it at 30 something.. Anyways.. thanks for all the help (and probably 50% of the posts in my blog). I'll be getting on up there in the high scores soon! As soon as I'm listed at least.. pfft. :XD: ~Lunar Oh and woot; 1,000+ post count.
  3. Ah.. I knew you could help. RCing: I forgot all about doing fires... DUH! I did a few thousand fires back on Trunksbomb and found it relatively easy. I also used Glories to save some costs on Dueling Rings. Duel to Altar, Glory to Edge, bank, repeat. Pretty quick in my opinion. I think I'll do a mix of the two. Fire runes up to 44, and the Nats until 60. I'm all about having one skill pay off into another skill! Construction: With los deneros I make from RCing Nats, I'll be able to buy my 60 Construction, with about 2-3 mil geepees left. (Also gotta calculate in the factor of getting to Oak Larders). Thank ye thank ye! I'll add those in my blog in a bit. ~Lunar
  4. Thanks Sẻ̮̱̉orita Tripalicious. I'll most definitely be achieving these goals and then some. The mining and the agility might take the longest... Got any tips for RCing, Construction ( ) or Crafting?
  5. @ickdeep => Thanks, and no. My strength is going to stay where it is for quiet a while. Currently I'm 55/30/55. Going for 60/30/60 for now, then 70/??/70 later. My strength will probably end up in the high 40s or low 50s.. @youknowwho => Thank ye! @Whichever mod moved this => Thanks. I was thinking it was still the Goals and Achievements Forum. : Sorry for being old school! ~Lunar
  6. Well, why not? it seems like a great goal to go for overall. I'll be going for all 60 skills besides Strength and Prayer. Some stats will be higher, but none will be left behind (beside the two aforementioned skills). So now that you know why, what about how?! *UPDATE* 7/18: Leveling Prayer now.. Decided "what the heck? Why not.." Got 1k Big Bones from 20-52 Ranged at Hill Giants. Those are going to be ecto'd or used with a Gilded Altar for maximum experience, which will put me above 43 Prayer. The remaining 15-20 levels I'll figure out when I get there. 8/26 11:34 A.M. EST: Achieved 60 Magic 8/25 1:05 P.M. EST: Achieved 60 Thieving 8/25 9:48 A.M. EST: Achieved 60 Fishing[/hide][/hide] .:Fishing So my Fishing goal is done for now. I fished up about 1.6k Trout/Salmon and 1k Lobsters for the level (from 48 Fishing). 48/70/60 Fishing! 60 Fishing achieved 6/14, 8:24 P.M. EST .:Cooking For cooking, all I need to do is cook all the trout, salmon, and lobsters I've obtained from my fishing goal; pretty simple! This one was done in no time. 51/70/60 Cooking! 60 Cooking achieved 6/14, 11:01 P.M. EST .:Mining So Mining.. the skill everyone loves to hate! Well.. not all. But I've nearly fallen asleep powermining iron to get the required level for Heroes Quest on my old main. So this one is gonna take a while, as I'll be banking all my ores. I'm going to powermine limestone until 31 mining, at which point I'll switch to mining iron at Yanille most likely and banking it all. It will take 7.4k Iron ores to get from 31-60, so wish me luck there! 11/60/60 Mining! 60 Mining achieved 6/17 11:30 P.M. EST .:Smithing Ah good ol' smithing. I just got a knack for this on Sir Xaeroe, my last account. Well with all those banked iron ores.. what am I gonna do with that?! Smith them of course! So 7.4k Iron bars smelted and smithed will get me 60 Smithing on the dot. I'll be smelting in Al Kharid, seeing as I can't get into Phasmastys (prayer levels..) And smithing in Varrock. I'll be doing iron knives all the way. Might take longer, but it'll feed into my Ranging experience! 23/60/60 Smithing! .:Hunter Yes yes.. Hunter. How I love this skill. Already past 60, but I'd like to hit 70 for now to even it out before I go on to other skills. I'll be doing Red Chinchompas most obviously. I need about 470, but we'll round out to 500. This should only take about 2 to 4 hours, depending on competition and lag/latency. 68/68/70 Hunter! .:Woodcutting Yum.. woodcutting. This was my first skill to 60 and to 70. I wanted to see if I could actually set and achieve goals, and I proved this by far. 1k willows per day for 10 days. I actually did 10.5k and sold 1k to a friend, so now I have 9.5k willows to burn/fletch/sell. 70/75/70 Woodcutting! .:Firemaking Firemaking; the skill with the hawtest emote (next to Prayer) I've already achieved 60 Firemaking, but I'll be getting it up to 65 with some of my already chopped willow logs. This will take about 1.9k willows, so not very long at all. A couple good hours of burning and I'll be done. But what I'm going to do is sell 2k willows at 40 each, then do the F2P General Store method. Find a F2P world full of autoers (not hard to find) and head to the Lumbridge General Store. Always chock full of willows for 12 gp each. So essentially, I'll be making 28gp for each log I burn! Sweet deal, eh? 60/65/65 Firemaking! 65 Firemaking achieved 6/27 7:03 P.M. EST .:Fletching One of my least favored skills. It's a great skill, don't get me wrong.. but I just don't like it because of the staggering amount of people with the cape. Just going to get this up for general levels and to make my own bows when I need them. I'll be doing this with oak longs up to 40, then just over 2k strung willow longs until 60. I'll be picking all the flax and spinning it myself, so I'll be making a profit when I sell these for however much at the general store. 33/60/60 Fletching! 60 Fletching achieved 6/19 2:23 A.M. EST .:Thieving So thieving.. don't we all love stealing things?! Well.. I do at least. Thieving is quite an easy skill to train in my opinion. My Thieving is already 16 from the Fremennik Trials Quest, so I've got a good headstart I'd say. What I'll be doing is thieving 1,000 cake'a'roos from the Baker's Stall in Ardougne. All chocolate slices and breads will be eaten and dropped, so I can't really count on a reliable amount of experience to base further calculations here. But we'll round off to achieving level 35 this way. Afterwards, I'll thieve about 600 warriors in Ardougne as well for 40 Thieving, at which point I'll switch to Guards until 50. Then it's straight up wall safes until 60! 16/60/60 Thieving! 60 Thieving achieved 8/25 1:05 P.M. EST .:Crafting Good ol' Crafting. At lower levels, I don't think that Crafting has many cost effective ways to train it. But, what I'll be doing is raising Crafting to help train my other skills. How so you may ask? Well for my Fletching goal, I'm going to pick and spin all of my own flax, which will give me quiet a few levels there. I'll be picking flax at the Gnome Village and spinning it in Lumbridge Castle. I'll also be cutting all my gems from Mining and cracking wall safes. Finally, I'll actually train the skill independently by making coifs at the Crafters Guild and dropping them. No banking involved, plus it'll get me 60 Attack. A bit slow though.. 34/61/60 Crafting! 60 Crafting Achieved 7/28 1:41 A.M. EST .:Agility This goal will be pretty much straightforward. I'll be running 228 laps around the Gnome Course, at which point I'll be switching to the Barbarian Course. After the barcrawl, I'll be running 661 laps around the Barbarian Course. Next up... Wilderness Course until 60! Whoohoo! 263 laps around that and I'll be done with Agility for now! 16/41/60 Agility! .:Runecrafting Probably the second least favored skills of mine. Seeing as it's level 1 at the start of this blog, I'll be needing a lot of work on it. I'm going to do airs until I get to fires, then fires until I get to Nats. After that, it's nats all the way! As Tripsis figures it, I'll get about 5 million at current market prices for all my hard work, which will pay off into Construction; among others. 1/1/60 Runecrafting! .:Construction Construction; perhaps the most expensive skill in my opinion. I'll get it up to 33 by any means I can, and then from 33-60 it'll be smooth sailing with oak larders all the way. Tripsis figures that this'll cost me about 2 million overall, so I'll have 3 million left to spend on other skills. 1/1/60 Construction! .:Herblore So this is considered a slow and expensive skill to the naive. But what I'm going to be doing is making almost pure profit from the get-go. I'll be collecting all my own herbs for the most part, and collecting the seconds. Once I get around to making things with Harralanders, it'll be pretty smooth experience from then on out. I'll probably stick with doing Prayer Potions for a while, collecting my own Snape and killing Chaos Druids for my Ranarrs. 1/39/60 Herblore! .:Range Ah.. so this is the first combat-related goal I'm going to be working on. For Range, I'm going to be using the 35k Iron Knives that I smith for my Smithing goal and training. Not sure what level I'll get to, but let's hope it's something good! I'll probably train against Dark Wizards until about 40, and then Fire Giants from then on out? I've got to read up on some Ranging information to see what's best to train on. Suggestions are nice as well! 20/70/60 Ranging! 60 Ranged Achieved 7/18 9:26 P.M. EST! .:Prayer I originally wasn't planning to train Prayer... but I decided to in the end. I'm not going to be a Staker, seeing as I don't like taking those kinds of risks that you have to as a Staker. So.. Prayer, here I come! I got 1k Big Bones from ranging 20-52 Ranged at Hill Giants, which will be ecto'd or used with a Gilded Altar. From training Range from 53-60, I'll be getting around 25 Prayer with all those bones (buried on site because I'm tired of banking them). The remaining 15+ levels I'll figure out when I get there. 1/50/60 Prayer! Go to "Blogscape" Clanchat Channel for uuuuuber chatttttiiiinnnggg! .:Slayer Yay for Slayer! From now on I'm not training melee skills without training Slayer. That should put me at a relatively high Slayer level for my combat. Started Slayer at 61/59/60. I'll be doing whatever tasks I get.. not much "technique" for training it, really.. So yea. 7/60/60 Slayer! 60 Slayer Achieved 8/11 3:35 A.M. I haven't Barrowed in months and I'd love to be able to go again, so that's why I need Magic! That and it's a good way to get around. :D So I'll be training Magic throughout training all my other goals. I have a few quests that'll get me some experience, then the rest will come when I use it, I guess.. 11/55/60 Magic! || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || I've never been one for questing, really, but there comes a time in every 'Scapers life in which he must do a quest or two. But I've realized that I need to do more than one or two.. I've got bunches. The list below is actually kind of depressing; it makes me realize how few quests I've done thus far. But I'll be doing all these quests along the way, and I'll try my hardest to do them in order. If I have however misplaced a quest before one of it's prerequisites then I'll switch it around in the list and do the pre-req first. :D Of course.. I'm still quiet a long way away from even thinking about attempting Barrows, but thought I'd throw this in here because that's one of my ultimate goals for training and all that nonsense. I got a knack for barrowing on my old main, Trunksbomb. It was a rough start, but I eventually got it down pat to where each trip cost me little to nothing. In all, I died twice at Barrows; once not paying attention, the other when I was, ironically, telling my friend how not to die. I guess seeing is believing! The first time nobody was around, the second time the friend returned all mah stuff. :D This time, however, I'm hoping to stay death-free. 7. Thanks for all the comments. @n_odie => Yea.. I learned that the hard way. Next time I'll steer waaay clear of bugs. @Tbfgraphx14 => Thanks for the rate. And yea.. they don't have much sympathy from all the cases I've heard. @worecx => Hm... right. Little harsh, but yes I went with that general concept. I just picked right back up on my old account, Trunksbomb. Played him for a while more and then he got old. As in age.. '02. Old school baby! Anyways. I'm playing on M_0__0_S_E now. Pretty interesting. That reminds me; I need to change my RSN field on here. ~Lunar
  8. ~=~Sir Xaeroe~=~ (That's just a good picture that I like) So.. Sir Xaeroe. Skill and Prayer Pure. Mine; at least for a few months. That's me from a while back. Alpha koldes was new to the game and to the forums, and I decided to give him a nice warm welcome. He had only been playing RS for a few months before he had to cut back on his playing time due to real life things. But check out your stats if you want to be amazed at about 3 month's progress. Anyways.. back to me. So that was the day before Hunter came out. It was a Sunday methinks; I know I had school the next day at least. I logged in that morning to go check out Hunter before I left for school and got it up to level 5. Yay! But.. bus came and I had to get on. So it was a normal day at school. I was excited about Hunter, so I was telling all my friends that do or used to play RS about it and how cool it was and everything. I was super excited to get on RS and train some more Hunter with the rest of the crowds. So I make it home, hop on RS, and sign in. But.. what's this?! My account has been disabled?! I was very sad. I checked the reasoning behind this; bug abuse. Technically I had not abused a bug; I merely heard about it. I wanted to check to see if it wasn't just a rumor, so I did. Afterwards, I reported it through the main site's "Report a Bug" feature. Alas, I was still banned for it and my appeal was denied. And thus, the fall of Sir Xaeroe. Still permanently banned to this day. As you can see, this is my Pure Prayer/Skiller character, Sir Xaeroe. I put a lot of work into him in just a few months, and I was very proud of him. Alas, that's the last picture I have of him. *sigh* In this picture, you see me leaving the Digsite area, right after I finished the Digsite quest (and died once from dropping that stuff). Well.. that's the story of Sir Xaeroe's banning from my eyes. I'm sure a few of you heard me and followed my progress through my old blog. If you'd like to check it out, you can follow this link to view my old blog; just don't bump it or anything. So you may do whatever you like; rate, comment, flame; whatever. Thanks if you read that and I'll be seeing you guys around! ~Lunar
  9. Yea I noticed the fuzziness. It's just the render though; pre-fuzzy and all. ~Lunar
  10. I'm not sure I'm understanding what point you're trying to make here. Are you saying that there's a pattern with dragon weapons? I think so.. But what I'm trying to say is that it's not necessary for a dragon weapon to have a special, and i just brought up Rune as a comparison. Only two rune items have specials; not all of them. Just because there's a new weapon doesn't mean it should have a special.. And technically speaking, dragon arrows themselves don't have specials; only in conjunction with the Dark Bows. And more on topic.. what exactly is the difference between knives and darts? Range Bonuses? Speed? Ease of Production? ~Lunar
  11. I rather like the first one. The only thing I would suggest different is making that blur on the right side go past the edge of the picture. The second one is pretty simple; I like. And the last one looks like a psychedelic couch cushion. Not really my style. Good work nonetheless!
  12. One more new one. Spiderman Vs. Wolverine. This is the sig version; It was made larger and then cropped.
  13. Well to get this back on topic and off of that quote chain.. I doubt that Dragon Darts will receive a special attack. Not every Dragon Weapon has to have a special. As I recall, the Rune Throwing Axes have a special; but do any other rune items? (Maybe Rune Claws.. not sure) Anyways.. they're just a super-powered dart made especially for stakers and PK'ers. They'll hit constant good damage, much like the pre-existing Rune Knives. They hit fast and constantly; even with a few 0s thrown in there, it's still great damage in the end. (I'm not sure on damage, so don't quote me on this) If Rune Darts/Knives could hit 8-8-10-9-0-9-8 or something, then the Dragon Darts could hit 12-12-9-0-15-8 or something. Just great for staking and PK'ing, as said before. But.. if it did have a special. I'd imagine it would be throwing a few darts at once and hitting in various spots, possibly stunning the opponent from the force. Sounds pretty cool, eh? ~Lunar
  14. Well uh.. considering his woodcutting is only in the 20s, I don't think that he's going to be cutting either of those nor killing any of that in the upcoming week. And uh.. hm. Maybe mine iron and bank it? You'll only need 1.5k iron ore if you sell at 100 each. And that won't take but maybe a few days of liberal playing. I haven't mined in quite some time so I'm not sure on the time factor for that amount of iron. Just mine at the Varrock spots and try to dominate two to three iron rocks, depending on how many you can handle at once. Either that, or run airs as suggested already. ~Lunar
  15. Probably stick with men and women all about the Runescape world. They'd probably be your best bet until about 15/15/15 or so. Then switch to minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. Not many P2P-exclusive areas for lower level combat training.
  16. Do you care to elaborate just a tad more? It's a debate club, not a "Yay or Nay Club". ~Lunar
  17. Sarcasm from me is a special gift. I only use it with friends that I know can decipher the difference between sarcasm and a serious comment. I've used sarcasm with other 'Scapers, which was often taken as rude; thus resulting in a slew of insults and/or asterisks. So yes, I use sarcasm. But I use it very liberally; so as to prevent chafing. ~Lunar
  18. When this update was released, I thought nothing of it. Ok.. there's a few dogs here and there in Varrock; so what? They'll follow you along.. nothing more. So, with the addition of the dogs, JaGEx thought it would be a good idea to introduce an option to get it to stop following you. Not so bad. You just make a noise at it and it whimpers away. So what's the big deal? In Runescape, one of the main goals of many people is to kill X amount of monsters to gain levels. KILLING MONSTERS/HUMANS/ANIMALS. And yet with a simple little addition, people go ape-nuts about shooing away a dog?! This just completely blew me away. Why would we get all huffy about shooing away a dog? How is this animal abuse? It's not. If anyone wanted to complain about animal abuse, then complain about killing all these guard dogs and rats and whatnot. Also, if shooing is abuse, then why doesn't anyone bring up the point that you can shoo your own cat away? Never heard anyone complain about that. But really.. I don't think that shooing away a dog is animal abuse, nor is it something to get all in an uproar about. People can get their pannies in a wad all they want; but I most definitely don't want to hear them complain. And thats how the cookie crumbles. ~Lunar
  19. Yes Nadril.. we know where you've been. :-# ~Lunar
  20. Well I was in a rather pissy mood before hand and reading that just didn't help. My bad. And being a mod didn't have anything to do with it.. Anyways enough about that let this get back on topic. I don't think that they'd nerf an item a whole day after it's been introduced. So.. yea. Probably a streak of bad fortune.
  21. I'm going to let that one slide and hope you're just intoxicated or something of the sort for making such rude and unrooted comments. If you'd look at muggi's Range, you'd see it is 99. Pretty respectable. And he's respectable in my opinion. Ok? Thanks. No more of that. ~Lunar
  22. My vote goes with muggi... I'd trust him; pretty respectable dude. ~Lunar
  23. Nah got it within minutes of posting this. Thread ova'! ~Lunar
  24. If you mean used as in exhausted and no longer available to you.. then I guess you'd have to ask another player for a jar, then use that to capture a new one and get some more jars! ~Lunar
  25. Since I don't feel like getting my crafting up to 40 from 33, I want to get the lyre as a drop from one of the citizens. Any clues on how rare the drop is? I don't want to waste way too much time and food over here killing these helpless dudes.. Thanks in advance, ~Lunar [mod edit - locked, requested - Phil]
