  1. I suggest selling your items and having the 3m+ Work on merchanting items of lesser expense at first, and items you can sell rather quickly. Double check prices before buying your items, and when you get more experienced you will be able to automatically pick out good deals, and will see that there are many effective items to merchant, some of which no one has thought to merchant. Best of luck with the merchanting, and always watch the second trade screen.
  2. You can however set up a cannon on the pc boat though. ... Don't do that though, it is annoying, lol. If you are looking for a spot to train at with your cannon, I suggest Hellhounds in the Taverly Dungeon, aka Members Dungeon. Even though the area is single combat, the cannon will attack as though it is a multiple combat area. This can be an effective way of snagging lvl 3 clues, and reaping the rewards.
  3. First you must do "Jungle Potion" as it is a required quest to do the "Shilo Village" quest, which will give you access to Shilo Village. There are some nice quest guides on the Tip.It homepage. I suggest you check them out. :D
  4. Yes, it would be more cost-effective for the use of your time. Be sure to do your fly fishing in Shilo, and good luck. :)

The price will most likely not fluctuate. You could merchant it, if you bought it on the cheaper scale of the price range, and sell it on the higher end of the price range. ie. Buy the d-wc axe for 3M, sell for 3.25M.
  6. Merchanting would be the most effective method, but just like certain skills some people can not stand it, nor require the ability to do it well. If you aren't fond of merchanting I suggest cutting yews. Mining 2k coal, 1k iron, and then smelting into steel bars will give you enough cash for your goal though, so you could also try that. Good Luck, and btw Zammy pwns. :)
  7. I can not tell you the exact times.. but fishing sharks at 76 fishing is not a smart idea. I suggest waiting until 80+ fishing. I am 81 fishing, and I rarely fish sharks even now. If you are solely training for the exp aspect, fly fishing salmon/trout is the fastest, and is considered "power-fishing". If you are looking for moderate cash and relatively fast fishing, then monkfish and lobsters are easier methods. I don't recommend fishing sharks until at least 85+ fishing, but it is your decision. Sorry that I could not give exact fishing times for the mentioned levels.
  8. Well, I made an upwards of 60M as a F2P player, so from personal experience I suggest.. Mining/Smithing, and Woodcutting. This is skillwise for money. Once you get a decent amount of money, merchanting is undoubtly the best method of making money. In F2P there are a limited amount of items, so you can easily memorize pricing on the main items, and be able to identify a good deal in the middle of a bank. If you ever decide to get P2P, PM me on these forums and I can help you with making money on P2P, as I have some more effective methods.
  9. I've always been sceptical about POH's.. ever since 666. Looks like I had a reason. Nice to know I'm not too paranoid. Thanks for the info anyways, I am sure it will make a lot of people more aware, and hopefully put a wrench in some lurers ideas.
  10. 31 Frog Masks 1 Prince Outfit 44 Frog Tokens
  11. If you want the Drill Demon event, I suggest stringing yew longbows. I am not saying this will help, but a few friends and I were stringing yew longs yesterday, 3 of them got the Drill Demon. I strung yew longbows all yesterday, and I went from never having a Drill Demon event to getting the full set in one day. I also got a mime mask, and about 30 other various randoms. I also notice that pure ess miners have full camo. Most are lvl 20-50 and just mine pure ess in world 99. Take a walk over there, most people are wearing camo.
  12. Welcome to members. You are now a members skiller.
  13. He means someone with high HP and low combat.
  14. Quite simply, P2P only items can only be high alched on P2P servers.

It is random I suppose.. but I would like to believe your farming level has an effect. I have farmed quite a few Ranarrs.. I only use supercompost, no magic sacteurs. From every plant I have gotten exactly 7 Ranarr herbs. I suppose you could say it is random.. except for the fact that I get 7 every time.
  16. It was a good article. I hope it made some people think about the time they play on Runescape, and what else they could be using their time for.
  17. Vannaka. He usually gives great tasks. :)
  18. The reward is: 18,650 Strength and 18,650 Defence xp This is regardless of the attack type used. You also gain teh ability to wear Dragonhide bodies, and rune pl8's.
  19. If you like the look, put out the cash. :) At first I figured this topic was going to be about the worthiness of membership.
  20. Whats the item/s | set you desire: Bottomless Basket Whats are its functions: Holds Large Amount Chicken Eggs Where does it go? (eg hat, cape etc): Shield Slot Why do you want this to be?: So I can collect a large amount of chicken eggs, and use them at a later time for cooking. It would be especially nice since it will not raise in value (uuntradeable).
  21. Greater Demons. Their drops are "greater" and they are weak to magic. Just be sure to take some high alching runes. :)
  22. Dexek replied to Zoob's topic in Help and Advice
The Whip is probably a minute amount faster, but nothing too special. It does have a better strength bonus though, so that means hitting higher, and more exp per hour. The problem is that you can not train strength by itself with the whip, which you can with the dragon scitimar.
  23. A skill cape. Especially one such as prayer, runecrafting, or slayer. Those are some big accomplishments. Not that the fire cape isn't a big accomplishment though.
  24. Yes, I believe you are right. It is more-so a question of what you can enjoy doing. Especially for long periods of time. The flax-bow string method works, but to me is small profits for a lot of used time. Farming Ranarrs is an ok way to make money on the side, but just be sure your Ranarr plant is taken care of, as a 20k loss would not be too positive. Yews, I definitely turn a cold shoulder to. Maples are much faster to cut, and with the speed you could make more money in the same period of time. Some other methods may include simple tasks such as killing moss giants for Ranarr/Snapdragon seed drops. My favourite method for new, and even some experienced players is the simply unid collecting from Chaos Druids at either the Taverly Dungeon, or the Edgeville Dungeon (Wildy). If you have under 25 herblore I suggest not I.D.'ing any of the herbs, and just selling them all 1k each. If you are 25+ herblore I suggest I.D.'ing all of your herbs, and selling the ones you can not identify for 2k each. The second method is more effective, because you get to keep the Ranarrs, which value 7k each. Fishing is yet another effective method. Catherby is the best place to fish if you can not get into the Fishing Guild yet. Once you can get into the guild I suggest fishing lobster until you are a fairly high fishing level. Keep the lobster raw and sell 250+ each. If you want to gain fishing levels fast, I suggest power-fishing salmon/trout in Shilo with a large amount of feathers. Those are my top suggestions, although you can strike it rich on certain monster drops, or lvl 3 clue scrolls. Merchanting is also another method, but is best used with past experience, and a large budget. Now that you have the basic idea, you should be able to make some money. Good luck on the 99 firemaking, and the 2M to fuel your goal. :)
  25. Well, for his stats I simply clicked the high-score link to his username. First off, I would suggest picking a certain stat, hopefully your favourite, and training solely that skill. If you are the kind that gets bored of training a single skill, then try to jump between a few. Fishing, Mining, and Woodcutting are the top ones for F2P in my opinion. For P2P I suggest those stats, along with Runecrafting. To get some money to start with, I advise you to go to the Chaos Druids, most likely the Edgeville ones as they are close to a bank (beware they are in wildy) and collecting herbs and banking them. It is probably best not to identify any of the herbs, and just sell all of them 1k each, unless you have 25 herblore, in which you can sell all unids above Ranarr for 2k each. In my opinion that is the fastest method when starting out with nothing. Some other ideas may be collecting flax, and selling as it is or making it into bowstrings (Lumbridge Castle Spinning Wheel) and selling it. If you are F2P collecting cowhides is a simple task, and can bring in a decent amount of money for having nothing. Once you get a decent amount of cash, you could merchant particular items, if you consider yourself a skilled merchant that is. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best and hope that you make all of your money honestly and fairly. :)
