  1. Damn near broke my nose, smackin me in my face with its wing there :XD: Congratulations drum, You are so 8-)
  2. [hide] http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =M975-3260 My friend has a computer that is identical to this accept its a different brand of processor and this one has a screen that is slightly bigger. It seems to have just about everything i need on it. I'll just need to go buy a good mouse and possibly get a 500gb+ external harddrive for christmas (I DL alot of stuff lol). Anyone think this a good choice? I'm thinking of ordering it this evening because I can fully afford this one. This looks like a good computer, but the processor isn't the best: I would recommend a 5000-series processor at the minimum, unless you don't need that much processing power. Otherwise it looks good. MAKE SURE that you are ok with the processor, because it is almost impossible to upgrade. Otherwise, it looks good, especially in the screen. I don't think it has FireWire though, which is something definitely worth considering before you buy it...:| Most of my other concerns have already been said though. I'll look up some other possible computers when I get home. what about this one?: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=2511 It has all the same specs (for the most part), its not a refurbished computer, and its only about 100$ more. Also, I have no idea what a 5000-series processor is :XD: The processor on the first one is the T2350, which is in Intel's 2000-series. It's about the lowest end processor you can get, which is pretty bad. I would recommend something around the T5200 at the minimum, or AMD's TL-59 or TL-60. A good choice would be This one. It costs $1300, but has a good processor, *really* good graphics if you ever want to play any 3d games, dual hard drives, which allow insanely fast drive access, a 1-year warranty, and a 17-inch widescreen (HP's LCD screens are really good). If you're not in this casually and actually want to get a computer to last quite a few years, something like that one above would be a good bet. [/hide] I just bought that same computer myself for work. It is insanely fast, and as Bac said, the screen quality is amazing. I had an hp before this one (same thing but a year old now) that I passed on to my assistant. Vista is not terribly different from XP, but it is much better. It is a great choice for sure. I am not a computer person, but i'll try to answer any questions you may have. I also have an external hard drive for it, but that is only because I have a total of 4 computers (2 desktops, 2 laptops), all in 3 different buildings (home, work, assistants home). It really does not need any upgrades or extra hard drive at all. It is a great choice if you can afford it.
  3. I think it just logs you out no matter what you are doing. I have been auto logged a few times, and it jsut logs. Makes you jump at first lol. I think it is a measure to stop bots, so I imagine it does cut inot combat. I started at level 60ish, went to 84 in 2 weeks. then i stopped and got 2 other 99s, I started agility again 1-2 months ago and did 84-99 in one shot. It was not that hard, just took a lot of time. All skills are different forms of the same clicking to me, so meh :P I still love it though :XD: slow down will ya revan?
  4. I remember that. Every once in a while rune monkey "resets". That is why I did not want to spend months getting tickets.
  5. Just got this level :) - It took me 1.5 to 2 months at 4-8 hours a day. One of my goals while getting this level was to maintaim number one every day on rune moneky. Runemonkey.net is an exp tracking site, it tracks exp for all members signed up for free every day. Here are a few pictures of my daily efforts- [hide] [/hide] Last week I acheived rank one for the all time highscores. This is the all time highest exp gained in each skill for rune monkey. For agility, this took me a weke to plan and 4 cans of red bull :P . Runescape logs you out every 6 hours, so in theory you have 30 hours to get the exp (24+6). But I lagged out 4 hours in, loseing 200k exp :-X . anyway, here it is- And, finally, here is my overall skills and exp- Just to note, I got most of my crafting exp before bots and farmers destroyed that skill for me. Green hides were 1800+ea and hard to find in amounts of 5k+, there were 200 people with 99 craft when I got it in January Now there are 1500? and it is around 2-5m for 99. O well.... Next up for me is 99 theif, fire make, and mage. Thief is first and should take 10-12 days, so I'll be posting again soon :P Thanks to druminator17 for running me super energy pots, Thanks to revan lives for smacking me when ever I slacked off, thanks to ff nick 22 for getting this before me. 8-)
  6. Nice going odd :P Keep up the great work, and enjoy the girlfriend 8-)
  7. pBlease gUet bMack sPoon ^that makes a lot of sense. Tuesday? I saw you reading the forums just a few mins ago (monday morning) :-w
  8. Congrats, and thanks for the help :)
  9. So, telling them that you want to Pk with them, bringing them deep, killing them and taking their items when you had said that you wouldn't, is perfectly fine? That's just lying to somebody to obtain their items. Is this any different from the "trust game" where they lie to you to take you items? NO! I don't see how that would be against the rules. They willingly entered the wild with you. Where as a scam/lure would be you tricking them into the wild. You standing in level 40 wild with your new pk mate you met 5 mins ago, then him bsing you is just something you should prepare for. While I don't agree with it, I see nothing that breaks rules there.
  10. 0/10. I would not call someone leeching off of anothers mistakes an acheivment. You should have at least made an attempt to return it. You were hacked, so you can hack someone elses death pile? What does you being hacked have to do with someone looting a death pile anyway? I find the fact that you justify your looting by saying "waa I was hacked" pretty immature. If you got your gear in the invo pic through legit means, then 6/10.
  11. I think $5 a month is pretty cheap. I would think the reason most f2pers do not pay for members is because they jsut don't want to, or the parents do not want to pay $5 a month for a game. It is a thoughtful idea, but I just don't see it as helpful.
  12. If you have the money, and either dont want to train other skils or already have, why not. You have a life for sale?!?! omg how much man???
  13. I have had all the hilts, and through comparing them with my levels and friends that I let borrow them, high attack is a must for the hits to be effecttive. When I start training slayer I am going to train attack to 99 with the whip first, then use an sgs for the rest. Hitting 40s + is only usefull if you can do it consistently. If you dont have a lot of gps and a sgs or ags will drain all your money, stick with zammy (the cheapest) and your dds spec. Everyone that says a whip is better then a gs is either really low combat or has never used one long enough to really know how great it is.
  14. The symbols next to the assist system update info on the Runescape home page were changed from characters (nurses I think) to the in game symbol for assist, 2 hands in a hand shake.
  15. 99 Takes about 2-3 weeks. The exp at red chins is about 100-115k exp per hour.
  16. RuneMonkey agility domination :P The two left pictures are from the days highscores. The two right ones are the all time highscores. Slept for 10 straight hours after doing that (I usually sleep for 4). Took me 29 hours of playing, and about a week to plan. I did not use any tickets from the agility arena. Only drank 4 cans of redbull to  THANKS DRUNIMATOR17 for running me super energy pots :)
  17. I have done those things, and there is no difference. I still get pretty constant lag. any suggestions?
  18. You cannot please all the people all the time. Not every update is meant for YOU. Lootshare and assist are both optional. Personally, I don't like either, so I don't use them. The GE has not even come out yet, and won't for 2-3 weeks. I am not making and assumptions until I use it.
  19. That is my wireless speed. Here are the computer specs. I don't think it has always been running slowly, but it is not recent. Probably for a year and a half to two years. I downloaded those programs (already had two of them) and ran the scans twice. Some things came up, mostly cookies. No effect though.
  20. I would like to upgrade my computer and/or internet speed. My computer seems a bit slow, and Runescape lags for me. I would like to speed up my computer, internet, and hopefully make Runescape run faster/better. This is my current equipment and situation- Computer- Dell Dimension 3000, completely stock. Internet- I use a wireless internet from the building next door. Yes, I do pay for it. I use a linksys router and a netgear internet card. My typical internet speed is between 5.5 and 18 mbps. I have no idea what that means, or if it is fast or slow compared to other wireless signals. My java is up to date, and I use the downloaded Runescape client to play RS. For the most part all I do on this computer is play RS, check email, and browse the forums. My question is; how should I go about speeding up my computer, internet, and Runescape? Is there anything I should buy to make my computer faster? And for my internet? Replacing my wireless connection with a land line would not be very easy, and probably will not happen. I have no clue when it comes to computers and this sort of thing, so any help would be much appreciated. :P
