I recently came back to RS to find a ton of new stuff. Guthans used to be the way to slay, but now with tabs and summoning, it seems to becoming obsolete. Point being, what is the best outfit to use when slaying? I have a veracs skirt and dh top for the riskier assignments, and a bcp to replace the dh for 'safe' assignments. I bought the bcp yesterday, and it took a big hit on my cash pile. I was wondering if i made the right choice? I was largely debating whether to get a bcp or dfs. The dfs seems awesome, but significantly more expensive. What is the slayer outfit you would suggest?

Nomad is a hard fight, regardless of the person who does the quest. Grats on the quest cape too! For anybody who thinks a quest cape is easy to get, youre a fool. There are 163 quests in total. The shortest quests take 30 mins, some 4-5 hours. Calculate the time it takes to do the quests alone, let alone meeting the requirements for them all. Its a worth achievement; both the quest cape and beating nomad. I certainly dont see as many quest capes as i see cooking, fletching, firemaking, woodcutting, fishing. Everywhere you go theres somebody with one of those capes. You dont see as many quest capes because it takes a lot of time and some challenging quests to complete. Nice work :)

Although some skill capes are easier to achieve than others, dont forget their function in the game. Sure, you can buy cooking and fletching quite easily, and sure, youll get the most common skillcapes in the game. what most people fail to see is that they now have a trimmed skillcape. skill capes not only look cool, but they provide defensive and prayer bonuses. Each skill cape, regardless of simplicity, deserves respect and serves a great function in the game. My personal goal is to achieve a trimmed skillcape without needing to go into the common skills, but i still respect those who choose to not do that. Once i finish 99 thieving, i think ill move onto fishing, wc, or MAYBE con, depending on how much cash i gather.

Runescape is not a game designed to be class based. I have played classbased games and absolutely LOVED them. Ive played open world, restriction free games (Runescape...) and LOVED them too! Changing rs like this would completely alter the gameplay. Each style of the game would accommodate different class-based restrictions. RS would be a mess if everyone had specific classes.

Your stats look like pure stats, correct? If you want to remain pure and lvl up your str some more, experiments, yaks, rock crabs, even zombies in the Defence of Varrock chaos tunnel would be good if you got 3 more prayer lvls (which you need as either a pure or main). A good place to do ranged is in caged ogres just north west of ardy. One of the best ways to get familiar with members is to quest. Do the quests and youll have access to everything in the game, along with the knowledge that you get in doing the quests. the exp rewards will help out with skill training and give incentives for higher levels. reading the guides on tip it will also help out significantly. welcome to the REAL runescape :P

I love the game, but im lvl 2 in all the roles. Ive had 2 torsos now. Once you get a decent team going, its a piece of cake. Just keep at it. I got my second torso in 5-6 hours. cant remember how long my first was... it was like 3 years ago lol.

If you're going to be using it a lot then yes it is, especially when you count the time you save using an SS over a d scim; I guess it would also depend on how much spare cash you have though. im doing all right for cash right now. had 30m in my bank and wasnt sure what to do with it. i dont have any bandos though, nor do i have a fury or berserker. i just got membs back actually. is ss the right buy for me right now? I would go for a fury/zekrer/both first since the SS only adds 5-10k exp per hour, but don't buy a bandos piece since that will drain too much of your cash. sounds good, thanks. so essentially your saying: zerker=fury>ss>bandos? any other big ticket items worth buying? Fury>Zerker because it can be used for other combat styles, but all I can think of right now would be karil's for better mage defence :???: . ive got karils, guthans, fighter torso, whip, pretty much the neccessary stuff, or at least what was neccessary when i last played lol.

I am looking to train strength purely. I figured that str is the best stat to max first. Ive got 85 atk and def and 87 str. Is it worth it to keep my ss over a d scim? BTW, sorry if this intrudes on your question :P

Still a stupid thing to do. . . . stupid indeed. Ever since it got locked I've been beating myself up over it. Good news though! It was unlocked last night, so I'm happy. My curiosity tends to get me in trouble when I don't think things through xD

You COULD do it with your levels, but id you feel that you want to train, your prayer and range could be good at 75/80 if you want to go that far, and prayer to 60, maybe 70... other then that you're set. i agree. with my stats i can get to jad no problem, and i figure you would have more or less the same result. the question wont be whether you can make it or not, but whether you can kill jad. every time i get to jad, i end up choking on the prayers. even when im sure i didnt choke, apparently i do and he never fails to 1hit me. it takes immense concentration for jad. got him to healers and in all that confusion, i was a bit late with a prayer change and he got me.

yesterday i was curious (after leaving rs for a few years) how the anti-hacking system works exactly. what i did was i changed my password while using a german based proxy (im canadian) to change it, then request a recovery. i figured that i would just get the pass back once i filled out all the stuff. WRONG. jagex ended up locking my account. heres where my quesiton comes into play. what exactly have i gotten myself in to? will i get it back quickly? when i did the recovery and they told me this set of numbers, i took a screeny and filled out the next screen. i didnt realise those numbers were also used to track my recovery, so i simply close paint and didnt save. so now i dont have the recovery numbers, nor do i have a clue if or when ill get my account back. dont flame me for being a moron (wasnt myself last night). if anyone has something useful that could give me some reassurance, i would love to hear it. thanks.

1. Tunnel, sorry bro :P 2. Tip.It has a great item database for items. Most of the starting gear I.E. combat stuff you will need to buy of course, and a lot of stuff can be unlocked through quests. (Helm of Nietiznot from Fremmenik Isles, etc.) 3. When was your last log in? Many huge changes have occured over the last few years. ive been out of date ever since the grand exchange came to be. would it be too much to ask to compile a list of quest items to get? i have runes, combat gear, farming stuff, herbs, jewellery, all that sort of stuff pretty much covered. like i said, just the small stuff is what im missing. that tunnel thing pisses me off :S if i recall correctly, do i have to escape the jail, then search crates for the dentures, then enter the tunnel with gold and monkeybones?

Hey :) I quit several years ago after being a member for quite a while. I had a very full bank with tons of stuff, but when i quit, i dumped all of my members stuff. I am now becoming a member again and would love to know a few things, mostly because i have forgotten, but some stuff is new too. My questions are: -to get into ape atoll, i need a greegree, if i remember correctly. my issue is that i dont have one. is there a quick way to get one back or do i have to go through that bloody tunnel again? -what items do i need to get in order to be able to do things quickly (such as ectophial, etc.) and where do i get them? im looking more for the less obvious, small items. i can get combat gear down, its just the small stuff ill likely forget, and also where to get it. -anything new or changed that i should know about? Im pretty much just looking for information on what i need to get in order to return to what i used to be. I used to have a quest cape, so most of my quests ARE done, so nice quest items are largely what im forgetting. Thanks in advance :)

very very nice :D i love all those skills. work on all 60+, then 70+ and then you are doing even better than amazing. ill give ya a 9/10, nobody is perfect, but you are pretty damn close :D another note, you guys think that those eggs are going to be used in summoning? if they are, im gonna crap myself... ive dropped so many of those things

i think that would be an awesome goal if you have the patience for it. why dont you try for an untrimmed slayer cape? that would be awesome. but if you do try for it, be sure to get a lot of cannon balls, recoils, anything to keep your hits down while still killing the monsters. good luck :)

you have crossed out some really good money making techniques right off the bat. rc makes 400k+ per hour. also, aviansies can make over 800k and hour (the same as a double nat crafter...) if you get good drop rates (abput 1:4 for addy bars). you could try herblore, farming, mining and fishing to make money, but none of them are as fast as rcing.

when i used to do slayer (stopped to do non combats) i would always bring super pots. i found it sped up the killing. i never bought them because i could make them, so it didnt make much of a difference to me. however, before i could make super pots, i would always bring a d baxe and restore pots. use the spec and drink your restore pots. that will add a boost. also, using attack pots with that would make it even better without adding any cost. good luck on 99

if you could explain to me what REQ is i may be able to tell you what the update was. i just cant think of what REQ could possibly stand for...

any enchants for sapphire jewlery (except for ammy) are members items. if you try a ring (in membs turns into recoil) it wont work on free server. however, try to enchant a sapphire ammy and you will get a mage ammy. this goes for all f2p ammies.
