An admin responding to a thread is seperate to moderating, but I understand the issue. :thumbup: Unfortunately, not all of us admins are techies, me being in the group. One quick thing you learn as a new administrator is that a small change in the backend of the forum could have huge a huge impact on the board, both good and bad. Stuff like new forums, permissions and ect is very simple, but the core set up of the board itself, is something that many of us won't touch as we are not trained. The tech admins are so so so so so so busy that there are some projects literally months in the Que. As an admin, I make great effort to read every reply on this board (Forum Updates and Suggestions) but it is hard to reply to every one. A red name usually means a final decision/ serious discussion, so I only try to post when i know 100% what I am talking about, or it is a opinion/suggestion type thread (or giving a final decision we made as a team). Also, red names tend to scare some people off, :unsure: so we tend to stealth to let everyone feel comfy discussing a topic. :) /me hops this makes sense after my 14 hour work day. :P Nic

Basically it should give us a healthy fear of displeasing him. Spot on. In Jesus day, the inhabitants of Jerusalem used the Valley of Hinnom as a garbage dump. They threw the bodies of criminals into this dump and kept a fire constantly burning there to dispose of the rubbish and the carcasses. The ancient Egyptians believed in "a fiery hell." Than later some Jewish sects addapted the belief of a soul living forever, sayin "bad souls go to a dark and tempestuous den, full of never-ceasing punishments." If I recall correctly, these beliefs infected Christianity around the second century C.E. and into the middle ages as justification of religious purging. That's kinda Christianity 101. Basically, when Satan deceived Eve/Adam into thinking she had the right to rule it brought into play an issue of Universal Sovereignty (FF Spell check ftw). God could have just wiped Adam and Eve and started over but that wouldn't be loving nor would it have proved that God has the right to rule. This is because not only Adam/Eve/Satan where watching, you had the angels as well. So God right now is letting mankind learn the hard way that as God, he has the right to rule. It's very similar to a parent who tells his kid not to touch a "glowy red circle" on the stove but the kid keeps reaching for it again and again. A parent very well may let the kid touch it so that the it can learn. Guess thats how my brain connects it. God doesn't just undo it because that would just prove whos the strongest, not who is right. (Oh crap, I started religion rambling. <.<)

For a religion to teach hell in the way it is common in Christendom today just shows how shaky the foundation of it really is. The doctrine that hell is a place of torment is not based on the Bible. Rather, it is a pagan belief masquerading as a Christian teaching. Just saying, hell, imo, is the prime example of scripture being taken out of context to promote a "truth." I know it's not directly on topic but seeing that comment made me cringe.

Sports guy, I know you can support your opinion all day but there is a time and a place. If you feel something is wrong, a threads fine. Repeating a thought over and over again in a thread with subtle hints of past isn't. Lots has changed over time and if you have a thought, again pm the crew leader.

For crew, there is a few different "types" of user posts. You have submissions, confirmations, regular comments and suggestions. Each is handled differently and is more of an acquired skill the longer the crewbie is around. All in all, if you disagree with a lock, send a pm to the crew leader, cowman_133. It isn't taken as a bad thing as long as the pm is constructive. The same goes for mods, if you disagree with a lock, pm the mod or an admin. :)

Much of the discussion taking place is borderline harassment on this players playtime and real life circumstances. Walk a mile in their shoes so to speak. We want Tip.It to be an enjoyable place for all players and if said player was reading this thread in the current light it would be very offensive and hurtful. I don't want to lock the thread as I think there is more to be discussed, lets just all try to refrain from "couldn't live with myself" comments.
