Any good 99 farming guides?
Hohto's guide to farming is pretty good... You can find it here If you just want to do it quickly and spend a lot of money then basically buy the most expensive tree seeds you can afford/plant...

99 rc finally
Go to highest level altar you can craft at, take as much essence as you can carry including all pouches you have access to, craft runes, rinse, repeat... If you want to speed it up slightly, go to ZMI altar take as much essence as you can carry including all pouches you have access to, craft runes, rinse, repeat... ^ Not much more to it than that

Awesome achievement - gratz.

Runecrafting/Fishing/Hunter
For pure speed zmi rc'ing is indeed your best bet and as others have said, at your level you should break even. If you want to mix it up a bit and make some additional profit, deaths through the abyss are your best option for a blend of gp/xp.

barrows
Black Sally does indeed cover all the brothers, but even if you choose this method I'd personally still take a whip/GS for Kharil and the tunnels since at the very least you're saving your harra tar. If you're going to take a GS anyway though, you might as well take down all the brothers using that!

I PK for...?
I don't PK anymore either. Even in the old system there was way too much waiting around/hunting for a fight; there was also never enough of an incentive to get normal players into the wilderness. I did used to enjoy the tactics and weapon selection though, I also used to enjoy posing as a green dragon killer to go after the pkers there. These days however, I wouldn't have the first clue about what to take or what to hybrid together...
-
Ohh mad. so you're going for 99?
I think skill capes give an added incentive, but really, all they do is make public your achievement. Given how time consuming skills are to get to 99 I think any player who gets that milestone absolutely deserves to be able to show that fact off if they so choose. I would also advocate a "total maxxed lvl" skill cape for those players with 99 in all skills, maybe animated like the fire cape and with some ridiculous emote to go with it as well. I do appreciate that the advent of skill capes has given rise to players training up the so-called 'easier skills' solely with a view to getting a cape, but is there really that much of an incentive to train fletching to 99 otherwise? As much as Slayer, Runecrafting, mining and agility capes catch my eye in particular, I do personally still notice all the other capes worn by players as even the quickest to level are no small achievement.

What should i train on?
Once you've done MM I'd suggest you use slayer to train up your combats. Bonus of training up slayer and slayer monsters have reasonable drops the higher you get.

Chinning Question
Thanks Ermin, not worried about the cash so i'll stick with AA.

Chinning Question
Open question really, where's best for chinning? are Mummies any good or Ape Atoll still best?

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
You're not being forced to do anything. Same as you can choose to use a d-scimmy rather than do the work required to get d claws/whip/GS etc.. Just that those who do choose to do the extra work have an advantage, but hey, no biggy, if you lose it's only a game right?

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
That's a pretty good question. My guess would be they'll have put in place something similar to the logic that stops you drinking a super-set in p2p and having the advantage when hopping to f2p..

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
By that attitude, cooking fish helps you in Pvp to stay alive. We MUST add cooking levels to PVP. People who fletch their own bows must have their combat levels incrased. People who craft their own dragonhide armour MUST have their combat levels incrased. ETC. Jagex really need to completely rework how combat works in Runescape, making it much less random and having it actually represent what levels you have in your combat skills. Armour needs to reduce the max hit of someone attacking you. I fail to see how someone can hit a 75 on me when i'm wearing no armour, and still do the same when i'm in full Statius? In this case, Herblore gives you a clear advantage that others do not have, and therefore should add to your Combat Level. The ability of cooking Monks doesn't give you an advantage: a player with a lower cooking level could just buy the cooked Monks off the GE. I think removing the pots from PvP is a good thing, however, removing them from Minigames as well was a stretch too far. Having an AGS is an advantage in PvP which doesn't add to your combat level... The argument that something is tradeable is neither here nor there.. Firstly since players have to somehow earn the cash in the first place (therefore making 91+ rc a big advantage to PvP?) and secondly since it's how they choose to spend that cash. 95m for an AGS could quite easily have been spent buying the levels for 90+ herby. Players who put the time and effort into levelling their skills *should* have an advantage over those too lazy to bother.

07-Oct-2009 - High-level Herblore Potions
- Will jagex make an unsoloable monster?
The point still remains though, that it is pretty easy to force players to have to team up to kill a boss monster, either through: Tactics (e.g. finishing moves where 2 actions are required simultaneously), or through Shared damage (e.g. 200 damage is dealt through prayer, but is shared by the number of people in the room, so 5 players would get hit for 40) or indeed simply through Brute force with an insanely high-levelled boss monster. Requirements to even enter the room etc. To-date Jagex haven't implemented any bar the latter two, and even then have made it possible for a solo player to circumvent them. Given the ease with which as players we can think of methods to make it IMPOSSIBLE to solo a monster, it seems reasonable to assume that Jagex could come up with similar ideas themselves. Therefore, as of today's game it is fairly safe to say that Jagex aren't intent on FORCING players to kill boss monsters as a team, merely making it hard for all but the highest level players to do so.. To me, that seems like a pretty sensible approach, and allows kudos to those that manage to defeat something like the Corporeal beast on their own... Even knowing that it's possible, I'm not in any rush to try that out!- 91 RC
Thanks! and yep I'm planning on continuing on to join you in owning a RC cape soon-ish (very nice btw), I'll probably slow down a bit for a while though as there's a few things I was planning on doing once I got this goal. Thanks! Bank is probably not as impressive as it could be, since I've only had 91 for 2 days lol.. Having solo'd through the abyss for the majority of my levels has meant that I've got a bit stashed away though I did splash a fair bit on 90 prayer and 80 Summoning. I guess my bank is worth roughly 120-140mil, but I'll try and do a BoB later and add it in.- 91 RC
Re-post following forum changeover... Finally! With the exception of 90-91 (when I got impatient and used ZMI) all my levels have been gained solo through the abyss. Rest of my stats:- Will jagex make an unsoloable monster?
KQ?? I can consistently get 2 kills against the KQ and was able to solo her for 1 kill at cmb lvl 105 (pre-summoning). Sadly there's not a lot of point these days as the drops don't stack up against the newer bosses. I must seriously suck as even with a GS (plus rune cbow and diamond bolts) or full veracs I can't get a full kill without banking (using super sets, sharks and a full war t) Ouch! Just checked your stats, and I'd have thought you should be able to consistently get 1 kill without banking.. Maybe she's toughened up lol.- Will jagex make an unsoloable monster?

I'm not sure that Jagex are actually trying to create an unsoloable monster, there are plenty of ways in which they could force players to have to team up to kill something, and these don't necessarily have to include making it insanely high-levelled. I rather suspect that Jagex enjoys creating a very high-levelled monster such as the Corp, and seeing how inventive players can be in trying to solo it. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff that players have achieved in the game that the creators didn't expect to happen (lvl 3 with 99 slayer to name but one)!- 78-82 Runecrafting
Most profitable for you would be bloods thru the abyss. Fastest is ZMI. If it helps you to have company you're welcome to join me crafting bloods thru the abyss.- 200M in all Skills
I maintain what I said on the original thread [hide=] [/hide] It just takes too long and even with the new ways of training there are still some incredibly slow skills out there (Slayer, RC, Agility, Mining). The fact that Lover Romeo has 200m in agility and mining on their own is incredible; I just can't see anyone having the desire/dedication to get 200m in every skill.- New Monster Drop List
^ Yep I've had that drop as well. Also from Cannoneers: Uncut Ruby Uncut Diamond Chaos runes (I had 12 dropped 3 times, but I'm sure there will be a range)- 09-Sep-09 Dwarf Quest + patch notes
