  1. I have 6 more school days until exams start (Canada). I don't plan on studying at all. Courses that are not looked at by universities are beautiful.
  2. Fingers, toes, neck, back, knees, ankles, wrists, jaws. All joints that I crack habitually. I just twist my back/neck to crack those, pull my fingers, forcibly bend my knee, shift around my jaw, and those are the only ones which I can explain how I crack them. I know damn well that I shouldn't be cracking my spine in any way, but it's become one very bad habit for me. One thing I really want to know is whether there is any definitive proof linking/disproving arthritis with cracking joints. I mainly crack my joints because I'm bored. Especially since I consider myself a very fidgety person, if I can I will 'play' with anything I can when I'm not doing something that needs my full attention and concentration, stuff like twirling a pen or opening&closing a phone.
  3. I like the concept of Natal, but am I the only one who thought of the Eye Toy the first time I saw this? Milo looked a bit too much like script for me to trust it, and I am also a bit skeptical about Milo 'grabbing' the picture - I would have been more impressed if the picture was shown back to me, especially since the person was told what to do: draw a fish (If I remember correctly). Also, letting a few members of the E3 crowd test it out 'behind closed doors' is what really sparked my scepticism; if Natal and Milo are so good, they wouldn't be afraid to let the media see candid interactions with Milo using Natal. The name could definitely be better too.
  4. I prefer stuff off of 'The Unraveling' and 'Revolutions Per Minute' over TS&TW and later. I love to see them changing their sound and still being good, but their earlier stuff is still what I prefer. 'Siren Songs of the Counter Culture' might be my favourite album though. Either that 'To the Core', 'Black Masks and Gasoline', or And Pink Bullet, all of 'Tip the Scales' is amazing.
  5. It's been released here, but I doubt I'm going to buy it soon. I think I'll wait it out a bit to find out what online and campaign are really like. Campaign is incredibly hard, if the demo is anything to go by. My only complaint from playing the Single- and Multi-player demos are that changing weapons can be a bit of a speed bump.
  6. Life couldn't be better. Outlooks on life, however, could be.
  7. NIN has no 'real' guitarist', it's pretty much just Trent by himself, then he gets other musicians to play live shows and record.

I've just had stuff to do lately. Also, I have to get used to how fast-paced the gameplay is.
  9. Works for me. And yeah, I can think of many things better than Eavesdropping. Namely every other 3rd Tier Perk.
  10. So is there any chance of having the mention of 4chan a bannable offense? Or has that question already been answered. Oh, how I long for that day  ~ Bongo
  11. Game types - TDM, Merc. TDM, Sabotage. Every so often I stop by Hardcore. Weapons - MP5, Shotguns, G3/6C, M40A3, M21. Not a big fan of LMG's. Maps - Pretty much every one that shows up on TDM, except for the courtyard one. Perks - Special Grenades x3/Bandolier, UAV Jammer/Stopping Powwer, Steady Aim/Dead Silence. Which one I use depends on whether I'm going for Stealth or not. Am I the only one who hates only having 5 custom classes? Honestly, I could fill up 10 easily.
  12. Also, in [subBlack?], there is a black triangle in a gold circle in the bottom-right hand corner of each post. Look directly above the 'Quote' button from the next post.

On the mention of tan, I already have a wicked farmer's tan from rugby  Hopefully I'll be able to even it out by the end of summer, but I will never lie down just to tan.

This might sound a bit corny, but I'm happy right now, so everything someone else might consider a mistake, I just consider a step towards being where I am right now, which is happy. I have decent grades (Would be much better if I tried), in a lull between sports, school ends/summer starts in a matter of weeks. Really, the only thing I would change right now is making a day have more than 24 hours. Me making myself feel good aside, my biggest mistake was actually being too lazy to start my social life a few years ago.

Rugby Mondays and Saturdays, 3 on 3 hockey Sundays, and then I'm pretty much just hoping to work and get in shape for the rest of the summer. Except once August 1st rolls around, then my priorites shift. Really, my only problem is that the weekend is generally when I'd go up to my cottage, but that's taken up by sports...
  17. Whoa, I definitely want some proof on how it is legal to pirate in Canada. Please.
  18. I'm just go ahead that MOD stands for modification, and that a MOD would require changing the code of either the entire forum, or the current themes. I can agree with the hesitation to avoid this, I know how volatile code is.
  19. I am very tempted at this moment to talk to some of the people I know and have them explain the protests, just so I can actually give a solid explanation. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and use what I've picked up from Wikipedia, and the people I've talked to. Nothing in depth form the people I've talked to, the most I got was a quick run-down of why the protests are happening. Currently in Sri Lanka, there is a civil war going on between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, and the Sri Lankan government. The Tamil Tigers are fighting to create an independent state for the minority Tamil population. The problem is their tactics. According to Wikipedia and it's sources, the Tamil Tigers essentially 'pioneered' the suicide bomber, and use children as fighters (As young as 14 currently). Now, this has the Tamil Tigers listed as a terrorist organization in 32 countries. In Sri Lanka, there is a 'no-fire zone' set-up for civilians. The Sri Lanka Army has pushed the Tigers back into this area, so there is currently fighting going on in that area. There are currently 50,000 reported to be stuck between the conflict, and there is much pressure for these civilians to be allowed to evacuate. "On April 22, 2009, the UN Security Council has called on Tamil Tiger rebels to lay down their arms and let the UN help evacuate civilians from the war zone." From what I've heard, there are two stances within the protests: those that wish for a cease-fire that would allow the civilians to evacuate, and those that want an end to the war, most likely through the Tamil Tigers laying down their arms. Really, the second ideal will lead to the first. Thousands have died so far. Recently in one night alone, nearly 500 were killed, with over 1,000 injured, due to a shelling of the no-fire zone. So, essentially, there is a civil war going on. Civilians are dying. The protests are to end the war and get those people away from the fighting. [hide=Now, my opinion on this.]The war obviously needs to stop, and the Tamil Tigers either need to find new peaceful tactics, or just stop what they are doing. With the two situations that the protesters want, I think it shows a person's alignment with the Tamil Tigers. Someone who wants the Tigers to lay down their arms is not likely to support their tactics. Someone who wants simply a ceasefire, and then let the fighting continue, is much more likely to support the Tigers. So, I support the side of the protests that wants the war to end. I really do not believe that the Tamil Tigers have any justification for the methods they are using. A blockade of the Gardiner is little compared to the lives of 50,000. Stop your whining, and support them, it will make this situation end faster. I am glad that the UN is trying to speak to the Tiger, however I do feel that at some point, more direct action will need to be taken. Also, since the Tigers are not a country, but a guerrilla organization, embargoes and trade restrictions won't work nearly as well. I want to say to put UN peacekeepers in to evacuate civilians, but that would be placing those men and women in the crossfire. Stop the fighting, and get the civilians somewhere safe.[/hide]

'Why' is my favourite word. I'm just a curious person, and use it a lot.
  21. Just needed somewhere to reflect&vent. Jesus [bleep]ing Christ relationships can suck. To give context to that: So right now I have a girlfriend. We want to date, but it's going to be hard as hell. The problem? She plays water polo at a very competitive level. Competitive enough that this weekend she has nationals, and then in July she's going to Hungary for a month, plus already has a scholarship for water polo. This means that she has 10-12 practices every week. Add school, and that leaves (her with) nearly no time for us. I wouldn't care that much (Okay, I would still care) if her practices drop down to the 4 per week they were supposed to after nationals. The thing is they aren't now. On the plus, exams are over early to mid-June, which leaves two or three weeks without school before she goes to Hungary. Also, then she's back for the last half of Summer. Either way, we're about as happy as we'll be in present the present situation. :D Don't really need any advice, just really needed somewhere to sort through my thoughts. Okay, maybe I'm fishing for reassurances.
  22. From what I see this as, your father bought a truck so that you could drive. It's still his truck, but he just lets you use it. No official transfer has been made, except maybe you're on the insurance for the truck. Logically, the truck is your father's. You and your mother have no right, unless given by your father, over the truck.
  23. And because Hitler was the worst leader in history. Hitler was a great leader up until he decided to persecute the Jews over fighting the war. I think it is a fairly accepted belief that had he committed his resources entirely to the war, Germany would have won. If not, it's still what I think. Hitler just confused a secondary objective with a primary one. I'm not saying Hitler did the best things, but what he did, he mostly did well. There was only one problem, the descision to attack Russia. That was the final nail in the coffin hammered in halfway at the start, and all the way at the end. How did we go from sable's annoyance of protestors to Hitler's leadership ability? :? Someone mentioned something about the world being fine if America disappeared, and brought Iraq into things. Yeah, Russia was what finally brought Germany down. It created the two fronts, AND HE ATTACKED RUSSIA IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. Either way, if Hitler had his wits about him, the world would have been in trouble. I guess I should sum up my thoughts: Hitler was a good leader, and that is to say that war isn't what leading is all about. What he did, he did with organization, precision, and efficiency. Sometimes he just did the wrong things. EDIT: 1_man_army, I never said that I agree with what Hitler did. I oppose it completely, it's just that I was supporting Hitler's leadership skills. See "Sometimes he just did the wrong things."

Oh, and one thing that bugs me is that America thinks that the World Wars were all about them, when in fact they joined late in every war they didn't start (And lost the one war they fought alone).
  25. This feature, which warns you if someone has posted between the time you've clicked 'Reply' and when you actually submit your post, can be a bit useful at times. However, on some threads that are especially active, it can become quite cumbersome, warning you several times before you are able to post. If the edit button didn't exist, this feature would be absolutely necessary, however we miraculously can edit our posts, so this feature is redundant at times. What I suggest is the choice of whether or not to enable this feature. I've checked the UCP and failed to find such an option. I'm not sure if it is possible, but it would make posting much more enjoyable in busy threads. Credit to Nick_6464 to bringing up the issue here.
