If your family was in Sri Lanka right now, and one member was killed, would that be what it takes to make you care? You have every right to not care. You have every right to be angry about the protests, but I find it a bit selfish to feel that these protests are useless, should not be happening, and that anyone involved in them should just GTFO of Toronto. These protests are a nuisance, but it's not the end of the world. Also, supporting the protests will in fact end them sooner. I sincerely doubt this group will stop their protests until something is done. The more support the protest has, the more pressure for the government to act.

I know quite a few people involved in the protests. So far, I've generally been agreeing with them. However, not that the protest has blocked off the Gardiner (Assuming that CityNews only serves Toronto), that's where they crossed the line. Before, it was a peaceful protest that effects no one. Now, they are blocking off major transportation routes. The one thing I'm worried about though is whether the protesters let emergency vehicles (Ambulances and firetrucks) through their crowd. I agree with the protesters on the grounds that the civil war in Sri Lanka needs to stop, but don't like how they are calling an overall death toll of 80,000 (For both sides) a genocide. Before this thing is called a genocide, how about calling the Rwanda massacres a genocide, or how about what happened in Armenia? Maybe even governments could stop it before something happens that we might be calling it a genocide.

I think this could become something amazing if given access to a budget over $3000, which is what it was according to an article (Article is under 'Press'). I agree with you completely that the biggest flaw was the scripts. Had there been a touch from Tolkien, I think that would have made so much of a difference. Either way a good watch, and let me get into some of the back story. One thing I want to know... [hide=SPOILER!]Is this actually based on canon material, or simply another fan fic? Jack Johnson's soundtrack to Curious George, I very much liked that. Went very well with the movie and it's innocence. Also, I'm a bit of a fan of Jack Johnson. And hellzbellz, Explosions in the Sky make anything so much better.

The Ubuntu Live CD is what I was thinking. Although I get the feeling that school computers would not be set to run straight off of the CD drive. That is easily circumvented if the option is available to change the boot settings at start-up. I've actually been meaning to try it sometime with my school computers and a USB thumb drive. Of course, using the Ubuntu Live CD would just let you get around the limitations on the computer, you'd still have to get into the network and school database. This would be incredibly fun to do, although I'd hate for it to end with someone with no technical experience stumbling across one of the holes.

Ever heard of social commentary? Criticizing society? I'm not sure about you, but from what I've read from summaries, this movie looks pretty good. It's like the book Nineteen Eighty-Four. The main goal of the book isn't to simply entertain, the goal is to get people thinking. Anything that aims just to entertain doesn't achieve much. Yet when you go for making the audience think, then I'd say it is better than anything more entertaining. On that note, I think it is a sign of society that people look for a cheap laugh or maybe a quick flutter of the heart rather than something that stays with them. This movie doesn't cut any demographic, it appeals to anyone who actually wants to think. On second thought, I guess it does narrow down the demographic quite a bit.

So a PT gave you exercises to do... and you didn't do them? I fail to see the reason behind that. Sports don't heal your body, they injure it. Especially contact sports like hockey. Injuries need time to heal, if you don't give them that time, they will simply re-occur, and be worse.

That would be awesome. The Crypt one base, Sky box another, and then the main level the inbetween. I can think of so much that would make that awesome. Also, it would mean that you couldn't just run home on a Warthog. For social/casual matches I couldn't see it working, but a competitive match would work awesome on that. The strategy needed would be amazing.

Yeah, I just use claymores for a warning more than anything else. Another thing I have found is that 'hidden' claymores don't work as well as ones that are literally in the middle of a room. I never place mine off to the side of a doorway facing in, I'll put it in the middle of the doorway. My favourite are stairs, because people just rush up them, only check for the red lines at the very top, and then rush the rest. Put 'em right in their path after the stairs and they always run into them. Seriously, it's counter-intuitive, but people in TD are freaking stupid. Hiding in plain sight :thumbup:

Right now, I have 2 science assignments and 1 history assignment overdue. Nothing really serious, just about 20-30 minutes work each. Yet they've been overdue for at least 2 weeks. Easy-going teachers are awesome. Honestly though, I procrastinate way too much. Yet I have an 84 average, so I'm quite fine with it. My worst experience with procrastination, however, was a month or two ago when I got up at 5 a.m. for a ski trip, got home around 5-6 p.m., waited until dinner at 7, played a hockey game at 8:45, got home around 10, and then worked on a history essay until 4 in the morning. Then woke up at 8:30, went to school, handed in the essay, came back home, and slept until 3 p.m. Actually, that was pretty fun, because of the ski trip.

I'm not worried at all. I don't really think I'll get sick. If I do, I'll recover. Healthy bodies work that way. God forbid I don't wash my hands and remain perfectly healthy. On a side rant, I hate this new generation of kids that are being raised to be 99.9999999...% germ free. Get your damn hands dirty. Who the hell cares if you get a few germs in your body, maybe it'll actually help STRENGTHEN your immune system.

All Ghillied up and One Shot, One Kill are by far my favourite weapons. I would have liked it more if there was less direct instruction from whoever was leading you. It's less that it was a sniper mission, what made it my favourite was the emphasis of stealth, but you would still be able to recover from any mistakes you made. More assassinations please :thumbup:

Steady Aim would be my choice. The other one you could use is Deep Impact. I personally only use those two for Perk 3. lol the SAW can be really good with the right class. Have you tried Mini-Uzi double tapped? Its my raygun lmfao Steady aim? There's barely any recoil on that gun. G with like extreme conditioning. Steady aim would be good for making the G3 more accurate when aiming from the hip, like it's supposed to ;) Just in case there isn't enough time to aim.

1200 students and I still get a locker. Also, I really think that if your backpack rips in a year, you need to find a better quality brand. Even if you carry around 4 textbooks and 4 binders, a well-made backpack definitely should stand up to that abuse. Hell, I usually have mine stuffed with 2-3 textbooks, 2 binders, and then fill the rest up with sports clothes. Only thing that's ripped is a seam on the inside for a laptop, which I just use for my binders (The reason it's ripped).

I have a Brown Dakine Campus backpack. Durable as hell, plus lifetime warranty. Doesn't look half bad either.

Currently I plan on going to University for either civil/mechanical/chemical engineering, but ideally software engineering. My hopes for a university vary greatly, depending on where I want to study. I'm considering MIT, but tuition would be incredibly expensive (I live in Canada). Other universities I'm considering are University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, Ryerson University, and Queen's University. From there I plan on pursuing any career that would utilize my degree. In truth I'm not entirely sure what I want to do. Firefighting is one career choice that is fairly appealing. Good pay, good benefits, and one hell of a lot of time off, because you work 24 hours shifts, then get a couple days off. Ends up being 7 out of every 28 days your work. My ideal job choice would be one that keeps me physically active while still using my brain.

Skatepank has a point, I think there's a rule about calling a thread "The Official [insert whatever here] Thread". I'm going to start running once summer starts, mainly to get in much better shape for hockey, rugby, and football. Two years ago, I tried long distance running, and found that despite being out of shape, I can still give a decent performance. I figure that if I was in better shape, I'd be a great longer, it almost seems to me like my body is made for running. Almost all of my strength is in my legs, I'm tall, and find that I have pretty good endurance. And yes, I think everyone loves running. Except indoors, that is horrible.

Currently my Stealth class is MP5 silenced, UAV jammer, Bandolier, and Dead Silence. It's awesome. My general strategy is to go wherever my team isn't and come up behind the enemy. Also, I love Countdown for this because fighting is always on the 'edges' of the map, and moves around constantly. Lets me just run straight around and flank the enemy. Actually, any map is awesome for stealth. Sniping levels are the most satisfying, opportunity for many headshots.

AKA what the 360 has had since launch. I find it quite weird that Sony didn't anticipate stuff like split-screen co-op or online in games. Then again, since their online service is free, there wouldn't have been a difference between a guest and an account. Conversely, the 360 needs a paid account for online, so the distinction between paid and unpaid-for accounts needs to be made. Either way, now the capability is in place for both of CoD's major consoles to support split-screen online play.
