I had a feeling I could play one of the Hardcore playlists... Point still stands, a good majority of matchmaking is unavailable even after I've paid for the game and Live. Personally, I think they should remove the map pack requirement on the playlists, and instead match players owning the map packs as a priority. My biggest irritation with this is that Bungie claims to do this so that we "get the most of our money", yet I see this as me losing quite a bit of my game's value.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
CONFIDENCE Really, just every chance you get to talk to her, whether she's alone or not, talk to her. Show her that your interested, and once you've talked to her for a few minutes, just casually ask "Do you have e-mail/msn?". I'm really not sure just telling her outright how you feel would be so good. Seeing as how you've only talked to her one or twice?, it might alienate her a bit. By all means try to let her know that you're interested in her - look at her when you're with her, smile at her. Just be friendly and CONFIDENT.

Halo Discussion thread
Sorry but I have The Orange Box and HL2's campaign is pretty boring dude, when i'm rating a shooter the storyline is the last thing on my mind. Hl2 and Halo both have ridiculous and unrealistic storylines, whichever you like is completely opinion, not fact. And of course there will be mods when it drops for pc, just ebcause HL has volleyball and gun game doesn't make it deeper.. What exactly makes any of the Halo series games 'deep' then. Problems with Halo 3: 1. Over half of online playlists require DLC you pay for. 2. 'Boosting' is much too easy. 3. A good portion of the player base is immature. I'm not even talking about the young ones. I'm talking about the older age group. They're the [bleep]s. 4. If there is any lag, it becomes nearly impossible to play. 5. Matchmaking can take quite a long time, and even once you've been matched, there's a fairly decent chance for you to simply be disconnected. 6. A large part of 'serious' players aren't serious, just whiny and obsessed. They complain about the simplest aspects of the game, like someone using grenades or an 'unfair' weapon. If they use methods that require no skill, why are they beating you? 7. Forge, which I'd say is the selling point of the console game, is very iffy.: A) You try to pick up an item just to move it ever so slightly, and it is set to a default distance from the manipulator, putting it competely out of position. B)The physics engine is still used when manipulating items. It is fine to have it come into effect after the item is placed, but I shouldn't have to worry about friction when I'm trying to rotate a box for a wall. C)If another object gets between you and the object you are manipulating, the distance is set to default. D) It is quite easy to knock over moveable objects with an object you are manipulating. So, the amount of playlists available is just an illusion, matchingmaking is flawed in more than one way, finding a good community to get into is difficult, leg disrupts gameplay quite a bit, serious gaming is not really serious, just obsessive, one of the best aspects of the game is flawed, and not even that special, even for a console. Matchmaking takes a while because IT HAS TO. Halo is a game where if you're even slightly out-skilled the game is already over, so it has to take the time to find you a good match. Oh wow you have to pay $10 for DLC? If you're that broke how do you afford Xbox Live to begin with. Yeah lag is a problem, but if you're using that as a flaw then every online game ever has that draw back. And enough complaining about the community for god sakes, atleast on Halo people don't tag the walls with disgusting porn like they do on HL, now THAT is immature and sick at the same time. Yes, players can boost, but big deal. If you're a 50 and didn't legitimatly earn it then you can't play matchmaking because you'd be constantly getting your [wagon] kicked, and on HL and CS people hack to all hell, there are even hacks you can't tell they have running. Yes all of what you said about forge is definatly true, but I wouldn't exactly consider that the selling point for me. Not to mention no one ever talks about the theatre, that alone makes it stand out from other console shooters, not only can the most insane ridiculous things happen on Halo, but you can go back and watch or record them without buying some ridiculous software. TBH why are we even having this arguement, if you don't like Halo, WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU IN THIS THREAD? I never said I don't like Halo. In fact, I quite like the game. I'm just saying that you're talking as if Halo is a gift from God, when really, it isn't anything that special. If it takes a while for me to find a match on a social playlist, when skill is not meant to be involved, why such a long wait? I wouldn't mind a long wait if I didn't have to do it for every match. I never said I can't afford the DLC. I easily can. Why though, should I have to pay more to access a very good portion of the game. ESPECIALLY some of the more popular playlists. I can't play MLG, I can't play Team Snipers, I can't play Ranked Team Slayer, I can't play Team Doubles, I can't play Rumble Pit, I rarely can play the Double XP weekend. Think about Forge. Think about what it gives you. Without Forge, you wouldn't have MLG. You wouldn't have Grifball. You wouldn't have Team Swat. You wouldn't have Double XP weekend. Custom games would be no where near as varied. You wouldn't have Races. Forge gives Halo 3 so much. In my opinion, it is what makes halo enjoyable for me. Halo isn't just a shooter because of Forge. I get the feeling that if players could put porn on Halo, they would (And have).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Also, I'm pretty sure ricocheted bullets have barely any speed, or at least not enough to inflict any kind of injury beyond a welt.

5(+) Things you gotta do before you die.
That is a good one. Everyone needs to do this. If it's during a thunderstorm (or a storm is close by, no rain) then it's just amazing. I'd love it if I could do it a couple hours from a major city - imagine the lights! but I've only done it in Canadian and some fields near Amarillo. So much fun. I've only done it in Canadian done it in Canadian in Canadian Canadian You better be talking about a town named Canadian. Seriously though, I've always wondered why I haven't done it. I have a cottage about and hour and a half away from any city big enough to drown out the stars, and thre's a field close enough by. If anything, it's just because the field is a cow field. Another thing I want to do is to camp on one of the islands on the lake my cottage is on. To top lying in the middle of a field, lying on a boat sitting in the middle of a lake. I have so many ideas now for Labour Day. Also, my list isn't based off of making some sort of difference or the world remembering me, I can't control what people think. My list is me looking for stuff that I'll remember as just those perfect moments in life. The rush of freefall, discovery from backpacking, and just the awe of lying in a field at night, looking up at the sky.

How much water to you drink per day?
I don't drink nearly enough. Although if you do drink a lot of water (So much that you're pissing almost clear), man you feel great.
-
5(+) Things you gotta do before you die.
Live a life worth telling someone about. Backpack/couchsurf the world. Achieve total freefall. Drunken singing around a campfire with friends. Lie in the middle of a field on a clear night at midnight no closer than an hour to any city.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I've explained my situation, about how me and my girlfriend got together, broke up, then got together again. First time, we didn't have to tell eachother we liked eachother, it was jsut obvious. We hung out about as much as we could (Which meant like 1-2 hours a day :| ), and it just became obvious. I asked at her one point "So you'd say we're dating?" Her response was "You haven't asked me out yet". Second time around, we pretty much just asked each other why the hell we weren't dating. Best answer was that she didn't have enough time. I'm pretty sure that technically, she asked me out. I'm glad it worked out that way, I decided a year or so ago that I wasn't going to ask anyone simply to 'be my girlfriend'. Telling someone that you like them probably is a good thing to do. How else will they know?

PS3 Price Cuts or Bust
MAG being a PS3 exclusive means that it will not kill Halo. The only thing I can foresee doing that any time soon is MW2, if it manages to top MW. MAG might be able to overcome MW on the PS3, but the 360 will remained relatively untouched. I must admit that if I could get a PS3 for $300, I would very much consider buying one, and probably selling my 360. And that's pretty much just to be able to play Killzone 2 and MGS. I figure I could get $350 for my console, games, and accessories (~10 games, 2 controllers, RB guitar, GHII guitar, GHIII guitar, Play and charge kit).

~ What is up with LED light bulb prices ?! ~
It's just the price that works right now. That is the best explanation to give for the price of LED lightbulbs. Nothing other than the companies' profits determines the price of the bulbs. If their profits go down because of decreased demand, the company is likely to lower prices to increase demand and thus profit. If profits could be increased by a lower price, the price will go down. Companies just want to make money, and unless government intervenes, they'll keep the price the same as it is so long as they keep their profits. Free market economy.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Personally, I have no clue what the hell love is, so I can't say when I think you can find it. Also, I don't think that you realize you've found when you do find it. I like to think that when you get to 'love', it's been a steady incline to that point in the relationship. So basically, anytime you can find love, but you won't realize it until a while later. I have to ask a second question. What do you think love is? I can't place an exact definition on it. I just know that trusting the person more than anyone is part of it. I don't claim to have ever been in love, so I can't give you a definition.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Take Jaerkd00d's advice. Forget about love, just have a good time. You're 13. I would say something about 'love' but I don't know what love is. Neither would you. Your past three relationships, you've been cheated on, you haven't found love yet. Like jaerk said, it's a two way street. Really, break up with her. If you do think you have a good time with her, stay with her. If not, break up with her. You'll also get your answer of whether she's "in love" with you based on what she does after that. I would have broken up with her right when I heard she cheated on me. She's disrespected you enough alreayd by cheating on you.

Skate 2 Thread.
I really do think that other than getting some betterr accuracy with the controls (Which might just be player fault), this game is nearly perfect. I love how there's no skill 'points' to buy, it's all about your personal skill with the controls. Also, all tricks are done using one stick, no button combinations to do x flip trick. Just flick it. I don't even own the game. I'm also pretty damn good among my friends. I really should buy skate. (1), since I much prefer it do Skate 2. Also, lower price \

Weightlifting - Your RL STR Lvl :D
I don't even weightlift and I know this, squats>leg press. You make your quads too powerful for your hamstrings to counteract when running, which means you pull your hammy. I have no clue whether your sets is any good, but I do know that if you play any kind of sport, you're screwing yourself.

Halo Discussion thread
There are quite a few ways of boosting: Switching you console language and choosing 'My Language' match option so that you end up with your friends (You all do this). Intentionally quitting to lower your exp (The Skill level system raises your level more for lower exp). I'm not actually sure whether it is you or your teammates that gain skill faster. You quit games in Social playlists so as not to affect skill level. Both of those are detectable (Bungie can and does detect habitual quitters). There's also one where you simply play with a very skilled friend (In Doubles), who makes sure you win your games, meaning your skill won't go down, only up. I have at least one friend who did this (One of my other friends is absolutely amazing at Halo). I have another friend that has been banned for the exp boosting method, and then I've tried the language boosting method once, but gave up on it.

Greatest Underrated Games
Better question. How great would it be if they remade it on next-gen consoles, and gave that online play? If they could remake it as well as Street Fighter was, that would be amazing.

::.Fable Discussion Thread.:: Fable 3 Released!
I really think that most of the fun in Fable is the side-quests. I'm actually was a bit disappointed that Boasts were taken out of the quest system, although I guess it wouldn't have worked with Fable II's storyline.

What's your RL fighting style?
I've decided a while ago that should I actually get into a real fight (Not just [bleep]ing around with my friends), I'd probably dump tackle the guy immediately to the ground, then punch/elbow his throat. If that fails, then elbows to the head. I'd probably just walk away from a fight no matter what fighting 'style' I use. Only real fights I've gotten into have been hockey fights, which are just punches to the head (wearing gloves + helmet), while a ref tries to break it up.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Just because some people seem to be sad about relationships ending... "Don't frown because it ended, smile because it happened" Really, that is probably one of the best quotes I've ever heard of regarding relationships. I think it's from Dr. Seuss too. Also, I remember that pretty much the one rule of this thread is confidence is all you ever need. Something I'd like to say is that confidence definitely is something you need and should always have for everything, but optimism goes a long way and helps one hell of a lot to get through rough times.

You go to start a New Game regularly. The first choice you have to make is I think what profile you use. The default choice will be John Sheppard. I believe that below that is Jane Sheppard, and below that 'Choose/Use Existing Profile'.

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Is there anyway we can get a summary of 'rules' that are established, which countries are claimed, etc. in the OP? I propose a joint partnership with Lionheart_0 for ownership of Canada, or, should he seem inactive in decicions, my exclusive ownership. Canada's vast natural resources will be utilized to their fullest extent. The prime agricultural land - what is left of it - in Southern Ontario will be used solely for agricultural purposes. There will be encouragement towards both university-level education and argicultural background. Clear-cut logging shall be criminalized, and all land in Canada shall be evaluated by a council of industry and environmental experts who will determine the best use of the land. The extraction of bitumen from the Tar Sands in Alberta shall be downsized until a better method for extraction, that does not cause nearly as much environmental damage (Focusing on reducing water pollution). All profits coming from the Tar Sands projects shall be directed towards alternative energy methods, focusing on transportation. Should it be allowed (By OP?), nuclear weapon-grade plutonium will be produced for use by whoever makes the rules (OP I guess). Cultivation of hemp will be legalized for creation of fabrics and/or biofuel. Marijuana usage will be nearly-legalized, with very low penalties for usage and small-scale possession. Distribution will be heavily fined and come with substantial jail time. In either British Columbia or Ontario, an experiment will be implemented for 10 years where marijuana usage and personal cultivation will be legalized. Should this experiment show results that legalization is beneficial to society, marijuana shall be legalized. Will add more later.

Halo Discussion thread
Halo doesn't suck, but I'm not about to say that it's a very good game. It's an OK game I would say, something that is good for playing every so often. The main that turned me off it probably was of all things my friends. They love the game, but playing with them is just [bleep]ing ridiculous. Yeah, they're good, I can admit that, and don't have a problem with it, but they just whine and [bleep] too much when something happens that's just part of the game, like lag causing a headshot to not register, or something similar. They take the game too seriously.
