  1. Finally somebody checked the database. I didn't check the database, I know because I have a decent memory. :P Either way, thanks. When you decide one day "I'm going to do the desert quests," and finish them all in a week, they all start blending together... Though I did Dealing with Scabaras on the day it came out, no idea why I couldn't remember it...
  2. Bingo. Waterfiends drop enough nice stuff that you'll pay for your prayer pots anyway, just suck it up and kill them.
  3. There isn't one. I don't see why you would want golds and greens though- kill waterfiends for crimsons. Golds are very low exp and greens are a huge waste of money. Blues are dropped so little even by their best droppers (dark beasts, abberants, wallasalskis, gargoyles, and kalphite guardians if you're curious) that you'd be killing forever if you chose to level with them. Crimsons are a good compromise between high exp, affordability, and availability.
  4. 1. It isn't Icthlarin's Little Helper quest that gives the camulet... I don't remember which quest it is though, sorry. 2. I just did Contact! about a week ago... I didn't get an enchanted water tiara from it... It rewards a keris.... Yeah, I'm getting my desert quests mixed up. I'm pretty certain that Icthlarin's Little Helper does give the camulet though. The enchanted tiara may have been from the one after Contact!, but the name of that one escapes me at the moment.
  5. Rune scimitar ftw. Go for 60 attack for dragon weapons.
  6. I'm pretty sure the time spent loading the house makes it so you may as well just use Piscatoris. Plus, no law rune cost there.
  7. ugh i heard contact is hard. also so i dont need any waterskins and tiara is infinite? You charge the tiara with water runes, and you can use as many as you want on it at once. So it isn't free, but it is effectively infinite. I think one drink of water costs 3 water runes. If you wear desert robes you hardly notice the water rune cost. Contact! is not hard.
  8. I'm pretty sure it's Piscatoris. The quickest method of making pouches after you get 57 summoning is to use a spirit kyatt to teleport directly next to the Piscatoris altar, and then a ring of dueling or glory to bank. You can make 1.2k pouches in about 50 minutes doing this (which is how long a kyatt pouch lasts).
  9. You're probably talking about 500g granite, which is used to make granite lobster pouches. It is mined in the granite quarry in the desert, used for the Icthlarin's (sp?) Little Helper quest. If you complete that quest, you get a camulet which is very useful, because it teleports you near the granite quarry. You should also consider doing Contact!, I believe, which gives an enchanted water tiara that takes the place of waterskins. Consider bringing a beast of burden familiar to carry extra granite to the bank. I would bank by teleporting with a glory or ring of dueling.
  10. One time exp. You can keep using the portal areas though- the farm has a magic tree that you can teleport back and forth and keep cutting without ever having to wait for a spawn. The graveyard has coffins that you can close in one world to cause ghost warriors that reportedly drop well to spawn in the other world. The axe hut portal is full of a different kind of ghost warrior which also is reported to drop well.
  11. If you use the portal in the farm from the quest, next to the flower patch, you get 10k farming exp. If you go to the graveyard in the wilderness and use the portal there, you get 10k prayer exp. If you go up to the axe hut and use the portal there, you get 7.5k attack exp. To use the ring to enter a portal, use the "operate" function while standing on it.
  12. You loop aaall the way around the south side of the city until you get to a cave surrounded by empty mining rocks. Go through that. It's quite a walk. The cave should be southwest of the city.
  13. Fun fact- you can go in there with full prayer and use it after your food runs out.
  14. Depending on when you plan to do it, I might be able to lend you either a fury or ranger boots (your choice, I own both. My suggestion is the fury for the extra prayer). If I'm on a trip ranging waterfiends, however, you'll be out of luck. Add me and let me know when you're going and I'll give you a four hour lend (should be more than enough time to finish the cave). Getting Verac's helm is something you should seriously be considering, as well as RFD gloves. If this trip doesn't go well, you might think about getting them before the next one. Now, on to strategy. Use steel skin whenever there are 90s and 360s alive. Take down the 90 ASAP (right after the 22 bats), and then take off prayer. If there's a 180 around, try to first trap it on the 90 you're killing, and then again on the 360. Be shooting at something while it's walking, don't just wait. When the healers come, your third priority (right after prayer switching and taking potions in that order) is to put a bolt in each of them, one at a time. Get them off Jad. Turn on steel skin when they start attacking you. When they're all on you, run in a line sideways and try to line them up so only one is attacking you. Only try this once, and go straight back to attacking Jad. You should at worst only have two attacking you, which isn't bad. I don't recommend trying to kill the healers- it takes so much time that Jad could probably be dead by the time you're finished- just focus on him. The time to take potion is RIGHT AFTER you have set a prayer. You have a good few seconds in which to drink and then click straight back over to prayer. Edit: One more thing- you may want to consider broad bolts instead of addy. They're under 1/3 the price (70 each), and just barely worse than addy.
  15. Ogres are always good.

Because we can no longer count on them always going up in the long run. The market is too disrupted, the GE is too easy to manipulate, and most importantly, nobody has trust in the rares market anymore. It's no longer wise for merchants to buy them all up and wait for the price to rise as demand skyrockets, which makes it hard for the rares to go through their usual cycle of going up, dipping a little, and then going even higher.
  17. Yes. Go buy something in the GE, and you will find it works that way. Every single time. If your offer completes instantly, you might get money back. If not, you don't. You are the only person who I've ever heard claim differently, so excuse me for thinking you are mistaken. This is not a controversial topic, we've known this since the first week of the GE.
  18. Yes. It's 500k you'll have to spend ONE TIME and never think about again. The extra minute could easily be the difference when you're lagging and disconnecting trying to get all the way back to the middle of nowhere. I bought the 500k grave the day they came out without hesitation. I still haven't died in one situation where I wanted to go back to the grave (I think I may have killed myself intentionally to undo stat losses). Do I consider the money wasted? No, because I'll always have that grave, just in case.
  19. It will be a pretty miserable experience if you do go. You'll be getting hit more than everyone else, and your bolts basically won't do anything.
  20. Getting the swordfish gloves is a waste of time, but if you have them already, swordfish will probably beat out lobsters exp-wise. So if you're going to play FoG whether it's efficient or not, swordfish are best if you don't care about money. Lobsters are faster money.
  21. I will start out by saying that I have NEVER experienced this and suspect you are mistaken. That said, if that did happen, the likely solution is you were buying an item that only sells a certain number every few hours. For example, I've been buying 3k swamp lizards 100 every four hours for a few days now -.-. Anyway, if your offer was in first, but then you had to wait to be allowed to buy the item, perhaps your price still was the one that counted. I guarantee 100% that it doesn't split the price.
  22. Potions don't make profit, sorry.
  23. No, you have to be on task to get slayer exp. Trolls are pretty good as far as assignments go, make sure you do the easy mountain trolls.
  24. If you have a Godsword and get a kalphite task, use it and a black mask instead. Still wear Verac's top and skirt for the prayer bonus and def though- I found I didn't do as well in Bandos. Don't worry about the prayer on her second form- the Godsword hits juust fine
  25. Get 88 summoning for the unicorn stallion! That's my current goal... almost there...
