// Best Runescape Updates of 2006 //
In no particular order : Construction - although high cost it has a lot of benefits like an altar, ability to make tele tablets, storage for various items (thus freeing up bank space) etc. New ways of getting around - esp Fairy Rings, but eagles and balloons can be useful at times Increasing Bank Space - although with the new treasure trail clues we need even more bank space (or perhaps the ability to store more in our own houses)

// Worst Runescape Updates of 2006 //
In no particular order : Pest Control - made a total mockery of combat levelling Tutors - makes starting the game too easy - I enjoyed learning how to do things in RS Lumbridge Home Teleport - again makes the game too easy - it spoils the fun involved in getting "lost" when you start the game

Tip.It Times Presents: Tax Collection ¢¢âš¬¢â¬ A New RuneScape...
E-bay is not completely US based. Other countries, like te UK, have their own subsidiaries of E-Bay. This is an attempt to prevent country specific illegal trading, for example it is illegal to sell certain drugs in the UK, so thise adverts are banned from the UK based E-bay. Now, the IRS could get their information from the US E-Bay and tax accordingly, however all people have to do is sell on other E-bay sites, or any other site for that matter and their income becomes untracable. This the the beauty and danger of the internet, it is so annonymous.

Tip.It Times Presents: Tax Collection ¢¢âš¬¢â¬ A New RuneScape...
Have I got the date wromg? For a minute I thought it was 1st April. Apart from anything else Jagex is a UK company and is free from intervention of ANY US, or for that matter any other (except obviously UK) government body. Thank goodness.

should runescape have gambling?
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO RS is an RPG game not a casino game. If you want to play casino games for fun there are plenty of other sites available. I wouldn't want Jagex to waste deveopment time on this (plus I don't think they ever will). The day they introduce this type of gambling in RS is the day I quit. :x :x :x

Has the drop rate of clue scrolls gone down?
For me personally the rate seems to have decreased. Two examples Banshees - rate pre new trails 1 in 100 kills, after new trails 1 in 200 Tribesman - rate pre new trails 1 in 100, after new trails it took me 400 kills to get just one. However, it could be that my luck skill has been decreased as IMO its all down to luck anyway. (Now thats an idea - how about a new skill called Luck........)

the most annoying things people do on runescape
MY pet hates - let me think....... People stupid enough to fall for scams and then spend the next few hours/days moaining about it Similarly, people stupid enough to get hacked Beggars Irresponsible cannon owners who insist on setiing up in an occupied training area - and before you flame I do have a cannon, but I only set it up when I find an unoccupied spot. People who think they own pixels (ie. rock, monster etc.) People who call me noob - I am NOT (combat 102 total 1554) - just because I don't dress the way they think I should or use the wepaon they think I should. ITS MY CHOICE!!!!! Thats about it for now

is p2p even worth getting?
I tried F2P for about 2 moths when I found RS. During thsi trial I found I liked the game, so I decided to go P2P. However, unlike most people (it appears) I started P2P as a "newb" straight off Tutorial Island. So, the answer to your question is - don't worry about your stats, become P2P and join in the fun.

Runescape Revolves Around Us Everyday
On the off-topic - If you want to be accurate - 90% of Americans are "foreigners", and ALL the presidents have been foreigners (although I'd love to see President Sitting Bull  On topic - I'm 50 - I play - you would be surprised to know just how many of us "oldies" play

TO MODERATORS - read posts before moving
Obviously I need to word my threads better so that they stay in the forum I intended them to be in. I shall try to do better next time. End of discussion.

TO MODERATORS - read posts before moving
This is the only place I could find to put this. I created a thread in the General P2P Forum called "Fastest way to craft nature runes". This thread was started to enable the various methods of crafting nats to be discussed. When I logged into the forums today I notice that the thread has been moved to the Help and Advice forum. Now as stated above I was not after help or advice, but a discussion on the subject. Perhaps, in hindsight, I should have given the thread a different title as it is obvious that you mods move threads according to title without looking at the contents. I shall be more careful with my titles in future. Please can you move this thread back to the General P2P forum where it belongs

20 November 2006 - Game-world locations renamed
To be honest the names of the servers mean nothing. Just find a world that has good responses for you. For example, I live in the UK, but normally use the Dutch servers as they lag far less, for me, than the UK servers.

Fastest way to craft nature runes
OK - forgot about that. So, I admit defeat and agree that the Abyss is quicker. However, I think I will stick to my method - its almost as quick, but definately safer.

Fastest way to craft nature runes
My figures are not that far off. Here is what I do - try it yourself 1. Start at Zanaris with 25 essence + small, meduim and large pouches(full) in inventory, wearing nature tiara, carrying Dramen staff and full energy 2. Run to Zanaris Fairy rings and dial up CKR 3. Run from Fairy rings to nature altar and convert essence to nats (in my case 43) 4. Run from nature altar to Fairy rings and teleport to Zanaris 5. Run from Fairy rings to bank 6. Deposit the nats with banker and withdraw 1 Super energy potion (4 doses) and fill inventory with essence 7. Fill pouches and drink all 4 doses of Super energy potion 8. Deposit empty vial into bank and re-fill inventory with essence You are now back to step 1. This process takes aroung 2 to 2.5 mins per run NOTE - I have 63 agility which allows me to complete one trip running all the time. If you can't achieve running all the time then, obviously, the number of runs will decrease. So, doing 25 to 30 runs per hour I can achieve 1075 to 1290 nats per hour. By the looks of what other people have said this is slower that Abyss, but still provides a reasonable return and you are safe from those dreaded Abyss PKer's. Additionally this method does not require the purchasing/crafting of lots of Glory amulets, and then charging of them. Perhaps if this were factored in then the Abyss method might not seem so attractive

Fastest way to craft nature runes
OK - if you say the Abyss is quicker then how much quicker? In other words how many runs per hour can you get using Abyss?
-
Fastest way to craft nature runes
Now that we have the use of Fairy Rings, especially the CKR one near Shilo village, I was wondering which method is the fastest one to use for crafting nats. Using the Zanaris -- CKR -- Nat altar -- Zanaris method I can get between 25 to 30 runs per hour which is anywhere between 700 to 1590 nats per hour (depending on pouch usage). Is this comparable to the Abyss method? Please give me your thoughts.

Monster Hunting Guide: Dagannoth Kings
I would also like to add - good item. However, I would use Tuna potato (heals 22) instead of Shark (heals 20) for food supply - that extra 2 could make all the difference between life and death!!

runescape for microsoft or sony
When will you and people like you realise that RS will NEVER be anything other than Java applet. The reason is that by using Java the game can be played without having to download a mega-byte client (eliminating your internet connection speed) and can be played on any PC, no matter how old. In fact Jagex's success is the use of Java.

Software Build off
Whether software this guy wants to produce is illegal or not is up for debate. There are two definitions of illegal here. The first definition is - is it against the rules of RuneScape? The answer is no, if the software does not interact with the RuneScape java coding. For example the skill calculators, The second definition is - is it illegal in the eyes of the law? The answer to this is a bit more difficult as it depends on what copyrights and patents Jagex have registered. For example things like producing an interactive map as suggested would probably break copyright laws as you would, in effect, be reproducing a large part of RuneScape. I would strongly suggest that you look into the legal aspects before you start publishing any software that you produce. Sorry to be a party-pooper but these things have to be considered.

[Handled]Skill Guides: Farming
Disagree - it should be "by up to an average of 10%". They dont ALWAYS give an increase in crop yeild and sometimes gives greater than 10% yeild. For example when I was not using the secateurs I was getting herb yeilds of a maximum (albeit very rare) of 7 per plant, but using the secatuers I have got as many as 13 per plant

New bs production results are in!
Is this running all the time? If it is then you will need to deduct the value of energy/ super energy potions used.

Deleting Accounts--GOOD OR BAD? (NEW AND IMPROVED IDEA!)
I agree with the concept of deleting unused accounts, and I am surprised that Jagex don't. Their database must be enormous by now and if I were the administrator of the Jagex database it would have been cleared out ages ago. I would delete any account that has not been accessed in 1 year, irregardless of levels. If this was carried out Jagex could, in all probability, double existing bank space and still use less storage space.
