  1. Not yet, but knowing Jagex's sense of humour we could, for example see an NPC watchmaker with the name Justin Time
  2. OK = put a;; these ideas together : Your own farming patch Your own mine Your own forge Your own anvil anyone see where I am going ...... your own trees to cut your own fising pond your own dungeon, with monsters get the idea ..... your own agility course still dont see what im getting to BUILD A POH AND YOU NEED NEVER TRAVEL THE LAND AGAIN!!!!!
  3. As a member I could live without teleports as the title suggests. However, to go 1 stage further and use no transport at all is just stupid for members, so I will not be joining in.
  4. I doubt that there will ever be an RS3. I say this becasue Jagex have taken the theme of RS about as far as they can. All they can do is expand on the history a but more withe more quests and perhaps add a few more mini-games. As far as skills are concerned, the current skill set covers just about everything. As mentioned in an earlier reply Jagex will probably tweak the skills by adding new things, eg swimming in agility, carpentry on crafting. Personally I think Jagex should really be concentrating on a brand new game with a completely different theme. However, they should not move away from the basic priciples that created RS in the first placed, ie, browser based with F2P and P2P with a small monthly fee. By keeping with these basic ideas any game that Jagex brings out is bound to be a success.
  5. All the complaining about the new inteface just proves that you can't please everyone and that the a small minority making a lot of noise can defeat a much larger majority. For the most part the interface update had little effect on me, as I never bother with e-motes and always use the key when running. Howver, I couldn't see what all the fuss was about with the original chages if people had given them a chance they would soon have got used to them. The only thing I agree with was complaints about the coulour of the text changing from yellow to orange. For someone with 20-20 vision this would not really be a problem, but, as I don't have perfect vision, I found a problem in that the orange text blended into the backgound, making it difficult to read. Returning to the yellow made the text stand out again. The only way to stop people complaining whenever the interface is changed is to allow personal configuration of the interface.
  6. Fed up doing those menial tasks? Then this suggestion is for you. I propose that a new forun be created where you can advertise for players to do tasks for you. Each advert would consist of the task you want done, the wages for completing the task and the RS character requirung the work. The wages can either be in the form of items or good, old fashioned, hard cash. Communication would be via in-game PM only with any adverts containing other contact details removed by the Mods. I apologise if this has been discussed before and please don't just flame me (if thats what you want to do), but instead provide constructive criticism.
  7. I too remember when cooking was a more valud and varied skill and I also agree with the article writers comments about fishing changing the skill to basically a cooking fish skill. However, along with most people, I disagree that we need a new skill. What we do need is an expansion to the existing skill. My suggestion would be to have more food items that do more than simply replace used HP. The range should be similar to that which exists for potions in the herblore skill. We could have food equivalent to all the potions found in herb lore ie. food equivalents to energy restore, antipoison, agility etc. potions (I like the idea of Angel cake for prayer restore food O:) ). I am sure doing this will encourage the use of the Cooking skill and make it worthwhile again. In addition. I would also like to see more use made of brewing as there are some quite useful brews that you can make. At the moment very few people bother to brew ales. This is mainly due to the lack of brewing vats (those that exist are relatively inaccessible) and the length of time it takes to brew (24 hours). In order to improve this I think that each Inn in Runescape should have its own brewing vat and unique ale. If this was done we could finally find a use for all those hops we keep growing simply to get farming experiance. Finally, on the subject of the Cooking Guild. Yes, it is now outdated and should be re-worked to reflect the changes made in the cooking skill. Some things that would improve its use are nearby wheat fields, a churn, a dairy herd nearby and a shop selling cooking utensils and ingrediaents like spces, chocolate, cheese, etc.
  8. Alch it - its a worthless set of pixels
  9. Perhaps the Mod was english as "pants" in real english is male underwear, and that is why they thought it was offensive.
  10. The War level Goblin levels are all wrong. As you enter the War level the first two chambers contain Goblins of Levels 5, 11 and 13. The other chambers that contain goblins contain a mixture of level 16 and level 25 goblins
  11. On the issue of combat level suggesting respect. In my view all combat level indicates is that the charcater can kill monsters, and as such gets no respect from me. I am also one of those people who think that combat level should be replaced by total skills level as this would be a much better indicator of the players status. The only time combat level should be displayed is in the Wilderness, where it is essential to know the combat level of the person you are attacking. In fact the displaying of combat levels is one of the last remnants of RSC, where you needed to know everyones combat levels as you could fight almost anywhere.
  12. Two actually (at different times). A dragon longsword and a magic shortbow.
  13. OR WHAT. You will quit, and droves of other F2Per's too. Jagex would just love that. They would be able to save money by reducing the number of F2P worlds. The money saved could then be funnelled into even better updates for those people who pay for the game. F2Per's pay for nothing, so they should get nothing!!!!!
  14. You shouldn't need defense when ranging, The whole point of ranging is that you fight from a distance (preferrably with something preventing your enemy getting close enough to hit you). I never use range on an opponent who can get to me.
  15. I agree with "do" #5. "Think before you report". I was accused of scamming and reported today. My "sin" was offering an uncharged Glory amulet in exchange for a charged one. When I made the offer the person I was trading with first of all called me a scammer and then about a minute later said that I had been reported. All the player really had to do was just turn down the trade, but now I am sweating over a possible punishment from Jagex. By the way I made the trade later with another player with no complaints.
  16. Robin Hood hat - it looks cool plus gives a good range bonus.
  17. I'm sorry but this is a useless idea and would be quite difficult to code. There are enough security features implemented to prevent ANYONE getting hacked (password, recovery questions, bank PIN etc.). However, this will only work if your PC is also secure, ie you have anti-virus software and firewall software running. Making your PC secure will prevent the use of key-loggers. I have been playing RS for several years now and have never been hacked

By creeping up and head-butting their knees !
  19. A reasonable idea, but I would like to see the elvish town (the one we can't get into yet) developed first. I could provide some of the things you are suggesting
  20. brave replied to darthvox's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Not a good idea. Think about it. If the tax is on gp that the player has then all the player has to do is keep their riches in the form of items. Unless, of course you can determine a way of taxing items as well.
  21. Give me a phat and I will
  22. He is not scamming anyone. If someone is quite happy with receiving next to nothing for a rare then its their decision. If you do accept he is scamming then Merchnting is the biggest scam out. After all is not the motto of a merchanter to buy low and sell hgh. Buying a rare at alch price and selling for real price must be a merchants dream.
  23. Paying farmers to look after your crops is only useful with allotments and hops. This is because no experiance is gained by checking these crops. Crops like bushes, fruit trees and trees give you experiance for simply checking their health and if you pay a farmer to look after these you will lose on this experiance. The additional experiance more that makes up for the losses to disease when not looked after by a farmer.
  24. What a stupud idea. Do you really think Jagex would pay out several thousand pounds just to provide a worlds (2 would be needed - P2P and FTP) for a small section of their total membership? I think not
  25. It would help if we could cut and paste names into abuse form - perhaps someone ought to mention that to Jagex?
