  1. Only by the serenity of Anesthesia's replies vs Gregg's bursts of anger should you be able to tell who's more mature.
  2. I'm clueless. And I'm obviously not the only one...

Haha, I was playing football with sopme friends yesterday and they called me Crouch because of my ball control and swift moves [that very rarely work]. But when they do work, I'm always amazed myself
  4. Tool - Disposition
  5. If I'd be stupid enough to waste my money on cars, I'd buy a rather simple Porsche or Aston Martin like these ones: or a retro-ish Ford.
  6. If you want more crappy techno like Darude: TiÃÆÃâÃâësto.
  7. Yeah, the Dewaele bros are amazing; their rock music with Soulwax (3 great albums: Any Minute Now, Leave the Story Untold and Much Against Everyone's Advice) is awesome, then they started doing these mash-ups which made them famous outside Europe. Now all DJs copy them, even though they won't admit it, dixit Vitalic and Tiga, who often work with them. Oh, and I also love that SOAD cover from Steal this Album, hilarious :) And the artistic interpretation of evolution on the Pulse cover LP posted, beautiful as well.

I love the Dewaele brothers, aka Soulwax. They've done several great things with mash-ups, they invented it btw, and they often work with Vitalic and Tiga, whom I also like a lot. Then there's DJ Shadow, who's been making America's best techno music (and please don't tell me it isn't techno) for quite a long time now.
  9. Are you saying there are people who claim to be Tool fans but dislike Maynard? That's like saying you're a devout Christian but hate Jesus. The people that got me into Tool are bigger fans of Maynard than of the band itself. So am I, because what else is a band than a few individuals? And Maynard sticks out of course. And yeah, you're right that they have one of the best drummers ever; just check out Ticks & Leeches, it's amazing what that guy does with his drums. edit: just checked out that Failure band; nothing more than one of the many high school punk/grunge bands IMHO.
  10. Grr.. I can see words in there but I can't read them :( Try quickly scrolling up and down.
  11. I was wondering what music the people who like Maynard's Tool and APC listen to, apart from of course Tool and APC. I've been trying to find bands that come close to the beauty of Tool, both lyrical and musical, but nothing in the same genre that I've found comes close to Tool, at all. There's some mildly entertaining music, like Machine Head or Rammstein, but they're plain metal, they don't offer anything more than rather good music. I want to get that feeling where you get dragged away with the music and where you can sink into this endless hole on the rhytm of the singer's voice. The only kind of music that I know of that is more special than commercial, is post-rock. But of course post-rock is post-rock and Tool is something pretty different. So is there anything like Tool, or anything that comes close? Or is Tool a genre on itself?
  12. Yeah, shouldn't they be cooking, raising children or taking care of their hubbies instead? And if they're not married, they should be studying dammit. :P Haha, oh Oy... You were the last person that I thought would even JOKE about that. But I agree! No seriously though, I do. Now I'm getting confused; are you really saying women should be doing the same daily tasks without blinking an eye? I think everyone should do exactely what they desire, as long as they don't harm anyone doing so. And Kayla, irony is my pleasant way of reverting stereotypical truths. Shouldn't you be ironing btw? :P
  13. Yeah, shouldn't they be cooking, raising children or taking care of their hubbies instead? And if they're not married, they should be studying dammit. :P
  14. Crap, I recognise that album, it's on the tip of my tongue... Could you give us a hint Anesthesia?
  15. In no particular order: ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Always look on the bright side of life - Monty Python ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Auto rock - Mogwai ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Green Grass of Tunnel - MÃÆÃâÃâúm ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð [untitled 8] aka Popplagi - Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Eulogy - Tool ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Vicarious - Tool ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Rebellion (Lies) - The Arcade Fire ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Your Lucky Day in Hell - Eels ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Angel - Massive Attack ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð Smashings: bodies/1979/ava adore/bullet with butterfly wings/tonight tonight/today/disarm The Smashings deserve to be in the list, but aren't quite good enough to pick one single excellent song. I'd also like to put in the entire collection of Muse, Placebo and about 10 other rock bands, but this is only a top 10. Rock music just isn't fantastic enough to be in my top list.

I wish I could but it's on TV Sunday evening, which is an evening at the pub for me. I've heard a lot of positive comments about it, though.
  17. Me too, in the simple things of life, like letting someone get off or on the bus before you do. I would never take a bullet or anything extreme for someone I don't care enourmously much for.
  18. Good ol' Fook. I of course also registered because of RS and my rune sales, which were not gathered by pking, but my merchanting. The only realistic thing in RS and also the only thing that actually wasn't a complete waste of time since it learned me several marketing principles :)
  19. Yeah, I've got it ;) I've just read Dylan is a fan of Beck as well. How great a compliment can a singer-songwriter get? I wish he'd compliment my singing skills as well someday :P

Uh? They're pretty famous, you know. De-Loused in the Comatorium and Frances the Mute are good albums and they're also pretty known throughout Europe and the US I believe.
  21. The genres I often listen to now are post-rock, classical and indie. http://www.last.fm/user/Oy_/ is handy.
  22. The name of the band and the title of the album has got something to do with maths.
  23. I've been around since the beginning, 2 forum changes ago in 2001 I believe. So well done.. newbie
