  1. Aphrodite: Man of Steel. Then some more D'nB
  2. I watched Old Boy and Ali G indahouse this evening. Both great movies, though completely different. Old Boy is a Korean film about revenge and Ali G is, well, Ali G :) I didn't expect Old Boy to be this good, it's a pretty great film; a good plot, good acting, a very original story and very intriguing as well.
  3. Lol, you do exactely the opposite of me (but I get great results ;))
  4. A live CD of Eric Clapton, which is merrier than I'd expected, country-alike.
  5. Although I'm not the person that would say killing someone solves a problem, I don't see any other possible thing to do with mass murderers like him. The way the German commanders were dealt with was pretty harsh but justified IMO. This is exactely the same, except Saddam has even more reason to be killed, most German leaders weren't directly involved in the holocaust.
  6. Grats Kayla! I celebrated my birthday last week as well.
  7. 117 out of 250 I think. But this is the first time I take a closer look at the entire list and I raised my eyebrows quite often. Movies like Jaws, Alien or Toy Story might be trendsetters, but they're not worth of being in the top 150 IMO. I thought the list was about how good a film was, not how expensive or how many innovating techniques were used.
  8. Another half a minute of my time wasted. What a bs topic.
  9. Wow, I just had the most amazing flight; 672 ft! Staying low is the trick, lotsa rockets there and you can see where the springs are, so you can easily use them too. I almost beat my best total run too, alas, 2 lousy last flights.
  10. Happy? Good job directors. I don't want to go see it anymore :) . What a * movie. If I went, I may just punch a hole through the movie screen. Anybody who thinks this is funny, i am veryy veryy offended. How come Hitler didn't kill Christians? Why does everybody go after the Jews? Did you know that there may be no such thing as Fadfdfd this day if Hitler had succeeded at killing of all the Jews? Perhaps do some research before acting all heroic and making a fool out of yourself. Both Sacha Baron Cohen, the actor that is so fantastic as Borat (and Ali G and the Austrian reporter in 'da Ali G show') as well as Larry Charles, the director, are Jewish.
  11. I've got more than 80 Gb of music, most of it rock and all its daughters. Shortest track: I'm not gonna bother searching that, but it could be 'A Conjunction of Drones Simulating the Way in Which Sufjan Stevens Has an Existential Crisis in the Great Godfrey Maze' by Sufjan Stevens, which is 19 seconds. Longest track: it most likely is some clissical piece, like the Four Seasons from Vivaldi, but those are actually four tracks. So it's most likely 'Providence from Godspeed You! Black Emperor' which is over 29 minutes.
  12. Yeah, I used to play this game as well until I became Hamster champ ^^ I once got 500+ ft in a single jump as well, but I missed the second hit and out of frustration I quit... (notice that you recognize a champ at his constant great distances, none under 150  ) edit: hah! try to beat this kids! :P
  13. I think Sacha Baron Cohen is one awesome comedian; I am definitely going to see the film asap. What I don't understand is that people are to dumb to see that he's not making a fool of any country, but only of people who deserve it. People who take themselves too seriously and who look down upon others. A texan with a huge ranch (where he shoots African imported animals) that would shoot the Jews if he was allowed to, some racist republicans, some power-hungry politicians, some bully jocks, the upper class of England... Who would not like to see them ridiculed?
  14. Imagine - the cover by APC. It̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôs better than the original one IMO
  15. You know, most black people would be glad if jokes about black people would not be frowned on upon. It's a sign of integration and equality that not only negative but also positive discrimination disappears.
  16. I'm anxiously awaiting Borat - the movie. It'll be in cinemas here on my 20th birthday, November 1. If anyone has seen it, please rate and comment it for me:)
  17. Wicked, I love decorating rooms! But I think we need to know if your room is on the eastern/southern/.. side of the house, where windows are, what the measuremtns are and all of that stuff. Also, what are you going to put there apart from the stuff that's already there?

Your name is Isabel? I love that name, it has a warm and exotic ring to it.

If you ask me, Lateralus is what Tool made immortal. It's as if you get carries away into a 4th dimension. Aenima is what made Tool world famous, it's a great CD with many of their well known songs on. It's harder than the next ones, but it still bears a lot of ressemblence. The entire album also feels like it's one huge song that smacks you in the face and opens that '4th dimension'. I love it, as much as I love Lateralus and 10,000 days, which are IMHO 3 of the best albums ever made. Their first album is, like Lat said earlier, angry and fast, more metal-alike than their next ones. Normally the first album of a band is what makes it famous and popular, it's pretty much vice versa with Tool. 10,000 days is -like Lateralus- smooth and continuous. You should buy the albums, interpret the music (and the covers :)) to know what Tool is. You can't describe a great dream either.
  20. I wish governments could trust their tax payers enough so that every country could apply that. Unfortunately there are too many idiots who prefer tossing their garbage in open nature than to put it in a trashcan. Nice initiative though, I love that Scandinavian approach.
  21. Where is my mind? - Placebo cover (originally from the Pixies, one of the most influential and best bands of the last decades)
  22. Same here, I don't know if it's me doing something wrong or the website, but I just keep getting spammy publicity when I go to that URL rather than the download link.
  23. I think I know where you're going and I agree. If you know that only roughly 5% of all suicide attempts succede, you know that they're mostly a cry for attention and a try-out rather than something life threatning. My brother was depressed, we didn't even know it, and he only needed one try to.. leave this place. Killing yourself isn't hard, so the 19/20 tries that fail and especially that one that is fatal, are IMO a very serious signs that something's wrong with the way we're living. People tend to look too much at the dark side of life, I try to just not make too big a deal out of everything that bothers me. Try to put it all into perspective, try to realise we often don't get what we want and be happy with the little that does actually work out well.
  24. Do you have a last.fm account Lateralus? I`m pretty curious to see what your list would look like. http://www.last.fm/user/Danabis/ It's not entirely accurate to my tastes, I listen to alot of stuff on my iPod that I don't listen to on my PC, but oh well. Ah, thanks. And yeah, the last.fm database isn't exactely accurate. I listen to gy!be a lot, but since their tracks are often 20-30 minutes each, they don't appear in my list a lot. Poppy bands with short tracks are always the winners :) And the original CDs I have mainly consist of Muse, Placebo, Tool, Nirvana and some Belgian bands, so I don't listen to them too much on the pc. Stereo CD quality is still unrivalled.
