  1. Now that is a special number.
  2. ... dont exaggerate Perhaps I'm exaggerating but my point is that Sweden compared to America is insignificant. Insignificant? Ohh, the attitude. I wish some of you arrogant Americans would finally leave your chairs and see the world. Insignificant. My my. You apparently have trouble with Katha's words. Although there's only 9 million Swedes, which means there's 33 times more Americans, I can tell you that the impact of Sweden on the world is a lot bigger than 1/33rd of the impact of the US. And I'm also sure that all of those 9 million are smarter than you. Yes, even Korla. so was einstein...goes to show that people that don't do well in school can still be smart. How can you even tell if he is dumb (besides his speach, which doesn't make someone dumb) its not like he gets up on stage and does some math or social studies problems.... I would still love to see you speak in front of the world That's apparently a myth. From what I've read, he wasn't a genius in school, like the uber-kids we know today, but he did well. He didn't fail math like it's said he did, but he has been quoted saying "No matter what your problems in mathematics are, I can gaurentee you mine are greater." Personally, I think he's full of crap, because I'm not horrible at math, but mine are far greater than his. He wasn't great at high school, but he was one of the best students ever in the university he went to. Which proves a lot more than a meaningless high school education.
  3. The problem with many people who dislike the US is that they do not like the patronising way the US has towards every other country in the world. Yes, they are the most influential country, and yes, they have the strongest and best army, but still, there's no need to use that army, or to use the power of influence to change other countries. There are too many countries who have to bow to the western countires (including the EU) because otherwise they would go completely bankrupt. We abuse this power, and that's more than sufficiant reason to dislike us. Many Europeans do not like the US at the moment, because its government ignores the opinion of the countries that oppose it, even though they sometimes should listen. If half of Europe wants the war in Iraq to slowly ocme to an end, the US should be clever enough to realise that not doing anything we desire will result in bad goodwill from our part. And vice versa: if the EU, or many of its nations, ignores the vision of the US, they'll only harm themselves. It's bad PR, it's bad for the economy and it's bad for world peace, which can never be achieved unless all countries will actually work together. And that'll never happen.
  4. To me, the average RS player here has 3 common characteristics: 1/ They can not read or write properly 2/ They listen to RnB because of the bad-[wagon] clips and because they think it's cool to cuss 3/ They're quickly offended, they can't put anything in perspective I hope that n̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð3 doesn't apply to you. I was joking, but I didn't intend to make a fool of you.

    Aye, so would I.
  6. I would buy the rights to all bad songs and forbid everyone to sing them ever again.
  7. Once again the stereotype of an RS player has been honoured.
  8. The Placebo cover of running up that hill (originally from kate bush). And their cover of where is my mind isn't bad either, most people don't know it's actually from the Pixies. Nirvana also have a lot of great covers: The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie), Plateau (Meat Puppets), Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam...
  9. They developped the internet. Isn't that a bit extraordinary too?
  10. I would bother trying to explain the China issue, if Duke wasn't there before I was. His opinion is exactely the same as mine after reading it. I believe he also studies economics and it appears that, based on our knowledge of study, we think alike. So whatever he says, is also my thought about the matter, and probably also that of others that know something about it.
  11. Zita Swoon - complete collection
  12. I guess you think you're incredibly funny now? Anyway, I completerly agree with Duke; people who have no clue what economics are running a country can have the perfect ideals, they'll never succeed. That's one of the reasons why Communism so often failed; Cḫ̩̉̉ and Fidel loathed economists and thought they knew how to handle it. Well, they failed, although Cuba still is the best example of Communism in practice. What about China If your idea of Communism being more or less succesful is repression, millions of casualties, no freedom of thought and to top it a complete economic catastrophe, then yes, Mao's China was a good communist country. Current China isn't Communist, although they may claim it to be still. It's more capitalist than the USA. Extreme free market, barely any regulations... Horrible. Just like West-Europe in th 19th century.
  13. And all the World Wonders.

  15. 1. Yes it has. And this comes from the mouth of an occasional user. 2. No, but when you only drink a beer every now and then, say, only at parties. Does that make you a user? I doubt it. I'll never pay for marihuana, but I don't say no when a mate offers it to me. A user isn't the same as an addict, nor is he the same as what I called an occasional user. I'm like a freerider, but there's only a thin line between that and being a user. Just depends on what your interpretation of 'a user' is.
  16. Yeah; indeed. It's extremely bad for your brains when you're not an adult (=fully grown) yet. But it's not nearly as bad as cigarettes or alcohol can be. Although cigarettes are still socially accepted, they're far more damaging to the body than a spliff. Alcohol and marihuana are very bad for young people, but they cause a lot less trouble for adults. And contrary to that, cigarettes (the elements contaminating your lungs in them) aren't as bad for young people as they are for adults. Conclusion: smoke all cigarettes you can find when you're young, and when you're fully grown, exchange them for tons of pot and gallons of pure alcohol.
  17. Have people just started using "lol" to end any sentence? no lol
  18. double post - lagged.
  19. winamp, easy and it has everything I want in an mp3-player. Here's an example of how it looks like: It's simple, but you can also make it quite a bit more complicated if you desire to do so. Also, it barely takes up any RAM, only about 7 MB.
  20. Hehe, that made me laugh. Thanks. Guess I'll won't meet you in Hell then, for all my sinning by thinking God is not real and not feeling comfortable with the idea that Jesus is my Lord and Divine Saviour. Meh, [cabbage] happens, at least Hell has permanent BBQs. edit: you're an insult to all proper Christians by the way. Forgot to say that.

:-s Flemish isn't a language. The Flemish are the people living in Flanders, the northern part of Belgium, where 60% of Belgium's inhabitants live and they all speak Dutch. But of course we all have our dialects. The language changes slightly every +-10 miles, varying from uncomprehensible west-flemish (eh Vmser? :)) to Antwerpian, which is what I speak, to something that sounds more like German than Dutch.
  23. But not the major founder. He was involved in the original planning however. she :) And what the heck? My username is already in use; that happened to me so many times lately. Who's this wannabe-me lurking around? I scored 110/200, but voted Api was great. Love you man. Some questions were tricky, but solved them with a good gamble. I know a certain person's name because I know him or her pretty well, and that's why I knew that question must've been that. And other questions were just part of that same eliminating process. Oh, you could've left the 'the' in question n̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð7 ;)
  24. It's partially what warri0r said: You cells absorb and eject everything they need or don't by a system called osmosis. A cell has a % of water in it and it attracts more nutricious fluids, from the intestines, where nutricious stuff from the food and liquids has been separated from what's not needed for the body. But if you absorb too much water, which is normally very much needed (70% of the human body is H2O...), this osmotic sucking ability of the cells gets cancelled and many of the nutricious elements get washed away, replaced by H2O as it were. Of course our body can't take that and we die because of a lack of salt etc. Here's some accurate drawing of what happens normally in a cell: In that hypotonic state, there is far too much H2O and the good elements we need get washed away because more and more water gets stuffed in our cells.
  25. Indeed. I have no idea how people compare some girl that acts tough, as if she is really rebelling against the system while actually abusing people's purses as much as, say, Britney, with a good band like Queen. How on earth can you compare a leaf with a tree?
