  1. Rune/Dragon boots. Why not a berserker helm or helm of neitiznot instead of a dragon helm? Also, how about barrows armor instead of dragon skirt and fighter torso (people have told me that getting fighter torso is just a waste of time). If you slay, get a black mask definitely.
  2. I'm in the same situation as the OP except that at max, I want 68 summoning as fast as I can, so I want to use my blues before that. What should I use my blues on?
  3. If you wanted to pk in the low level crater you could use something like: 40 attack 75 range, magic, strength 1 defense, prayer and whatever hp that would get you. If that combat level would be too high to get into the crater than 40 attack 70 range, magic, strength 1 defense, prayer and whatever hp that would get you. Even if you only plan to attack with range and melee, get the same magic as range because a higher magic level helps with defending against magic attacks and if you keep it the same as your range level, it won't inflate your combat level. *make sure to not have exactly the maximum combat level to get into the low level crater, because you will inevitably gain combat levels while pking. Someone I know went from 70 range to 97 purely by pking and BHing and then he chinned to 99. *I'm not saying a build like this is effective, because I haven't pked much, but from experience (in the old wildy albeit) with a super low-level pure (40 atk, 60 str) I got 20 defense and no one would stand and fight me because I had mithril armor. Agility makes your run energy recharge faster, so for example, during a fight your energy level will recharge faster than your opponent's so if they try to run, you will be able to run more than them and they won't be able to get away.
  4. Well I haven't been a low-level in F2P for a long time, so I don't really know any other good ways of making money. If you were P2P you could pick flax, I'm not sure how good that is at making money anymore though. You could mine rune essence until level 30 mining and then become P2P and mine pure essence. (like shielzzz69 said) A little tidbit if advice: When you become P2P train your agility up to a decent level, like 40-50 or even higher. It's really helpful, and good if you want to run away from people or chase them down.
  5. 1) Rune essence is currently 51gp. On August 2 it was 38gp so it probably rose due to the runecrafting guild being in the BTS and then rose even more when it was released. No one knows when or if prices will go back to 38gp, so I'd mine a lot of rune essence now rather than later. 2) I don't think that rune mysteries gives magic experience. Even if it does, it wouldn't matter because it wouldn't raise your combat level unless your magic level is higher than your range level. In RS combat level is based on the highest of 3 values: 1.5 * ranged level 1.5 * magic level attack level + strength level So you could have 50 range, 50 magic, and atk+str=75 all at the same time and your combat level wouldn't be higher than someone with 50 range, 1 magic, 1 attack and 1 strength. That is why people can have pkers with high range and magic, 40 attack to use rune weapons, and high strength. They just need to keep both their range and magic levels under 2/3 of their attack+str. Ex: 40 atk, 80 str, 1 def, 75 hp, 80 mgc, 80 rng, 1 summ= combat level 58. With just 80 range you would have a combat level of 56, but only because you would probably only have 68 hp. Hp levels are always good, though. *With all of these possible combat level formulas, defense, prayers, and hitpoints all contribute to your combat level, and also summoning if you are P2P and in a P2P world. 3) At low levels, training in members is about the same speed as training in non-members. It is mostly at higher levels that training in members is faster because of a much wider range of high level monsters. If I were you, I'd get members at 50 range because it is the first level that you can wear members only armor (blue dragon hide) that would speed up your training a little bit.
  6. No. Prices might rise, but they also might fall from too much speculation when everyone realizes that the only people buying them are merchants and not pkers. I don't suggest investing in anything ever, because you don't know where it will go. You could make money, but you could also lose money. I prefer to just work harder and rip myself off with prices to get things when I need them.
  7. You can post as many threads as you want, but people don't like it if you post spam. In this forum (Help and Advice) you can post any RuneScape related question and people will not think it's spam, but if you make a ton of threads in General Discussion you might want to think about each thread you post to make sure that it is a topic that can be discussed.
  8. I assume that you are f2p. For some good cheap money making at low levels you could do Rune Mysteries Quest and mine rune essence. For range training: always use the best short bow that you can afford and use bronze or iron arrows. level 1-25: Kill cows or goblins in Lumbridge or men in Edgeville. level 25-50: Kill minotaurs in the stronghold of security. They have the bonus of dropping a lot of iron arrows. level 50-70: Kill moss giants in the Varrock Sewer. Use safe spots. If you want prayer levels, bury big bones. level 70+: You could either stay at moss giants or safespot lesser demons in the Karamja Volcano. You could also kill Ice Giants in Port Sarim Dungeon. See a guide in the Player Made Guides Forum. Also I thought I would ask: are you any kind of pure? Because 1 defense could limit where you could train hypothetically.
  9. If money isn't a problem you could buy bandos armor. It offers slightly less defense bonuses than barrows armor but the body also has a +4 strength bonus and the legs have a +2 strength bonus.
  10. To get 99 cooking with lobsters you would need to cook 87,380 more lobsters. Assuming you lose 60 gp per lobster that you cook you would spend 5,242,800 gp. You could also cook 44,965 lobsters until level 94, when you stop burning sharks with cooking gauntlets. Then you would need to cook 24,237 sharks for 99. You would only end up cooking 69,202 fish so it would take about 79% as long as cooking just lobsters. Assuming you lose 60 gp per lobster that you cook you will spend 2,697,900 gp on lobsters. Assuming you buy raw sharks at current median market price (998 gp) and sell cooked sharks at current median market price (818) you will lose 180 gp per shark that you cook. This means that you will spend 4,362,660 on sharks. So total, you would spend 7,060,560 gp. This is 1,817,760 more gp than it would cost you to cook lobsters all the way to level 99. Assuming that you can cook 1000 fish an hour, getting 99 cooking just on lobsters will take about 87 hours. If you switch to sharks at level 94, it will only take about 69 hours. So switching to sharks at level 94 will save you 18 hours. In these 18 saves hours, you could earn enough money to make switching to sharks worth it if you can make over 100,986 gp per hour. Final result: cook lobsters all the way to 99 if you make less than 100k an hour, but if you can make more than 100k an hour switch to sharks at level 94.
  11. You cannot.
  12. that's pretty old, a thread came up about it a couple of weeks ago and in it someone confirmed that it was around since postie pete was added.
  13. What you might have been confused by is if you get a task and you Burthorpe the task, you can't Burthorpe the task you got from Turael.
  14. It will be really really easy for you.
  15. There's no reason you can't Burthorpe them, and frankly, I would.
  16. Barbarian agility course until 52, then wilderness agility course until 70 or 75. After that, it's Ape Atoll all the way.
  17. Use a super set to train--it's not too expensive and it will speed up your training enough to be worth it. If you fight something that won't hit you anyway than don't bother with super defense.
  18. guards on the top of varrock castle. Consider at least a d long.
  19. The whole point of F2P is to get people to get members. So no, F2P should not get it if it helps level faster. The whole point is F2P is harder than members so more people pay JAGeX.
  20. F2P got a lot of stuff recently, they don't need anything more for a while. It's just like people say, give a beggar a dime and he asks for a dollar.
  21. I reported your post so that a mod will move it for you. To get a mod's attention you should report your own post. It is the fastest way to get a mod to close your thread or move your thread if that is what you want.
  22. there is no official clan chat channel for tip.it, but a lot of tip.iters hang out in forsakenmage's clan chat.

Unless there is something specific that you want to buy in the short term, why sell it? Just make the cash to get what else you want, and buy it.
  24. The Granite Body provides better defenses but the Figher Torso gives +4 strength bonus. I suggest the Granite Body because +4 strength doesn't really do that much and the extra defense is useful.
  25. Hmm maybe that's why I failed last time. I thought that I was going to run out of charges. #-o
