A task of 183 fire giants uses 7 for me inside the chaos tunnels. Hellhounds in Kuradels dungeon would be about 6-7 too I'd say. (I have similar melee stats as you)

It is absurd to believe that bots cannot log in themselves. This is a really good point, not only was there an update the login screen changed. I bet a lot of bots had to update the scripts they use to log in and 99% of the leechers can't do that.

RoW doesn't work on rune chains and meds.

Seriously, just because lot's of people play poker as a gambling medium doesn't mean the only way you can play poker is to gamble. Poker is first and foremost a card game. While we're at it, might as well ban all the games in the games room (not like anybody uses those anyway). It might teach something to play chess, and you know what that means! I did not say that you have to bot to be high level. But clearly a good portion of the rs community does not share your opinion. Yeah, because you know. Doesn't have anything to do with a lot of people having played for 8+ years, and a lot of people choosing to spend their time efficiently.

Yeah there was even talk of a mass ban but we haven't seen one yet. Just the other day I was at karamja docks and there was 300 people on the docks. Jagex could ban 15k bots in an hour just by hanging around at Karamja, but they don't. Like 300! How much of a joke does this have to be? How far does it have to get out of hand before something is done or someone gets off their ass?

Jagex has always seemed to skimp on their servers.

Nobody is. Last I checked I never said this graph indicated 30k bots, in fact the thread title even has POSSIBLE in it. Nowhere do I claim the graph represents a solid number of botters.

Alright, but where did 30k players go in an hour? Perhaps you're right, maybe 30k players decided to goto work at the same time right when RS updated. And it doesn't have anything to do with being "so crazed". If something interrupts you and it only takes 30 seconds to get back to what you are doing, why wouldn't you go back to what you were doing? Maybe you can come up with a better reason why it took 30,000 players 3 HOURS to log back in. By the way, if you go further up the graph you notice 10k~ players log in every hour. So it is quite possible that the amount lost to bots was only recouped over "normal" population growth. (Normal would obviously include the bots being restarted) Somewhere, you have to ask yourself why after the update the population number experience normal linear growth, except for a 5-10 minute spike immediately after.

Here we have a graph of online users that is updated every 5 minutes. An assumption is made that any account that did not log back in after 30 minutes is a bot. Obviously this doesn't mean there are 30k, but it sure paints the picture that Runescape has a rampant bot problem. Any F2P player can attest to that, it doesn't take longer than a minute at Karamja, Mining Guild, Chickens and the Stronghold of Security to tell you there are a ton of bots.

This, probably 10-30 bots on each world. They get 40k exp/h + money from the tickets (selling on GE/buying rune arrows)

Some worlds, Karamja docks has 300 players on it.

No, dragon defender is best for almost everything, except maybe one or two tasks. (wyverns which case you want to use a chaotic maul + antifires?)
