  1. There's still a quest hub and faction to come for crystalsong forest. That place has a few towns that are aligned to some faction but there's nothing to do there and no way to get rep with the faction. Don't know if that'll come out with ulduar or the lich king raid though, i don't think anything's been said about it.
  2. Just make your own, then you can set it up exactly how you like.
  3. It came out in Japan about a year before it came out in England. I read about it somewhere and just had to give it a go. It's not really a game that you need to read the text to anyway.. some giant dude in tight lycra screams at you in Japanese for a few minutes, you go and roll everything up into a ball, repeat. I ended up playing the english version when my housemate bought it and no.. it doesn't make much more sense in English :P
  4. Kinda reminds me of Katamari Damacy. I imported the japanese version of that game and damn was it confusing.
  5. I got 1 head from 85-99 slayer plus around ~10k camped kills. I've had every single other thing on their drop table multiple times but only one head which i have mounted in my house. Shame you can't turn KQ and KBD heads into pets.. i've got plenty of them.
  6. Insane: At least lurk arenajunkies a bit before you talk about things you have no knowledge of. Almost all classes are better off with a decent amount of PvE gear, some more than others.. depends what they do and how the stuff is itemised. Mages particularly need PvE gear. PvP mage stuff is itemised pretty badly.. Naxx mage gear is loaded with haste, haste is one of the most important stats for a pvp mage. Obviously there are some slots where you'll want some PvP pieces, but to blindly say all pvp gear is best in slot for pvp and vice versa without even looking at the stats on them is naieve.
  7. That's the point where you buy up all stacks under 20g and repost them at 25g around wednesday when all the weekend auctions have expired :)
  8. Yeah i saw that site posted on WowInsider last night, it's pretty funky. Seems a bit slow loading, but it's probably from all the sudden traffic since it got featured. WowInsider seems to end up DDOSing every small site they spotlight :P Ran my first level 80 heroic last night. The group was made up of fresh dinged 80's and the tank had only dinged 80 a few hours before (prot pally). We meant to run UP normal, but the group leader had it set to heroic and noone noticed. We thought what the hell, lets try anyway and ended up clearing the place with only two wipes (damn you skadi) and a couple of single deaths here and there. What's more, the red sword dropped from last boss too so we had one very happy tank (and a jealous guild).
  9. This dropped for me today while questing in storm peaks. My first ever epic world drop lol. It's mad fun running around dal/org with it, shame about the hour cooldown though. I seem to be in luck with weird trinkets this week, went to strat to find the elder and killed the dude near it for Piccolo of the flaming fire, then the gunman guy for Cannonball runner.
  10. I wouldn't say DPSing in instances is the best way to go for tank gear. For one, the only tank drops you'll be getting are the cast-offs of the main tank. Since as DPS in a group you shouldn't be rolling on off-spec pieces. Secondly there's plenty of gear available to a freshly dinged 80 tank. It's possible for a warrior to get 540 def as soon as they hit 80, it's easier for a druid to get heroic ready since they are already crit immune. There's loads of crafted gear about, also rep gear and normal 80 dungeons.. CoS, UP and maybe Heroic Nexus should be able to get you geared to start heroics. Check this thread out for where to start looking for gear. It's mainly aimed at aiming for Naxx but it lists pretty much every pre-heroic piece too: http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f97/4170 ... -list.html
  11. They were right, the talent survival of the fittest reduces your chance to be crit by 6%, raid bosses have a 5.6%(?) chance to crit a level 80 making you automatically crit immune. As for stats to go for, agil is the feral wonder-stat, it gives you crit, dodge and armour. Not too sure on the exact avoidance% you should be aiming for though as i don't have much experience with druids. Stamina is another top stat as well of course, specially for druids since they rely on avoidance and massive health pools to soak up damage rather than avoidance+mitigation like warriors/paladins. If you want to get into tanking though, i suggest http://www.tankspot.com probably the best site for tankng along with EJ.
  12. I'm guessing you didn't take Omen of Clarity then? It's low down in the resto tree but it's basically a must for improving your DPS. Try http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/cla ... 0000000000 It's a pretty good max-dps build.
  13. I think what bloodredsword means is not to rush into making a huge complicated scene as your first piece. It's far more productive when you're learning to draw to just draw a single object. That way you can really focus on it and get that one object perfect, without having to worry about getting everything else right and rushing over the details. It's a bit like learning to play guitar, and trying to learn a whole metalica song as your first piece. You should start out with the basic elements; for guitar you'd start of with a few scales and chords, with pixel art start out with a single object and really try to get the details nailed.
  14. Find a low population PvP world and burn them up at the mage bank for epic exp. I think that's the easiest and quickest way to bank and return to the wild to burn an inv.
  15. Source: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=815 TOPIC CLOSED I think that means you just can't start duels. I used a ring of fuelling to get to the arena and i ended up inside the gate as normal. I didn't go into the lobby itself though so not sure if the NPC still heals.
  16. I'm guessing you meant Ret, since they were OP in PvP.. Well not anymore: nerfnerfnerf. They got hotfixed last night apparently.. lolret.
  17. If a boss dropped 2 pieces of healer gear and 2 pieces of dps gear, it'll now drop 4 pieces of caster gear. So whereas before, say you got lucky with the healer pieces and all your healers got everything they needed but the dps didnt have anything yet, another healer piece drop would be useless. Now all these pieces can be shared amongst the casters. Of course there'll still be some kind of itemisation so you have your preferred pieces, but it means there's less wasted drops.
  18. My guess is PvP in week 3 (next week), Halloween event in week 4 (the week of halloween :) ). Unlikely that they'd release a whole months worth of updates in the last week of the month. Edit: looks like i got owned.
  19. Yup i agree. Look at the lifecycle of any of the mature MMO's and compare it to RS and you can see the similarities. RS is at the stage where practically everyone who is likely to play already knows about it. Advertising will bring a few more people in, maybe the same rate as people are leaving, maybe more, maybe less, but there will be a gradual decline. This isn't all doom and gloom though, generally declines of aging MMO's are very slow and gradual unless Jagex really does something to kill the game (which is very unlikely) Actually funorb illustrates it quite well. Jagex pretty much only advertised funorb on the main runescape website, so you can use runescape players as a pretty stable audience segment, looking at the graph from alexa, i marked where Jagex put a funorb ad as a news item on runescape.com. You can see that each advert gets less and less people as gradually, everyone that is likely to be interested in funorb, who also visit runescape.com, already knows about it and therefore the advertising has less effect. A similar thing will happen to runescape but on a bigger scale.
  20. This is probably griefing taken to its extreme. Most of you have probably seen it already, the Serenity-now funeral crash: Edit - Sorry, can't allow that kind of language here, if you can find another version without the...colourful language in the intro then feel free to put it up ~Baron8000 Edit: oh well, search youtube for it. it's pretty funny.
  21. Yes to econo-vodka! We lived off that stuff in our first year at uni.. the best stuff is the really cheap [cabbage] that isn't actually vodka, but 'drinking spirit' and water. I think it's called vodkat. Drink it neat from the bottle too.. good times.
  22. Yeah just turn the ÃÆââââ into apostrophes. I had a look through the threads and it seems that's the only problem with them. I only vaguely remember the originals so i'm not sure if any other data is missing.. but they're at least readable when you get rid of the crazy symbols.
