  1. VIP as a group have made a bigger contribution to the ball than any other group. They really pushed the limits of what you could do on drawball and showed how well collaboration on big pieces can work. Website: http://drawball.nomaki.jp/ Collab gallery: http://drawball.hp.infoseek.co.jp/vip_d/index2.html VIP's drawball area: http://www.drawball.com/7o7ai54 They've got a lot of random pictures elsewhere on the ball, but that's their main area. The huge square in the middle is their big collab piece, they used to make a new piece once a month and it was always unprotected until just before the site changed. Hopefully they'll be doing a lot more on the new DB1. So yes, Hypah is bias towards VIP.. he has every right to be.
  2. Could a logo be considered artwork i.e. would we be allowed to do the logo on DB1? Only one logo was deemed artworthy by Hypah.. the 2nd VIP logo made entirely of art: http://www.drawball.com/55wmxvx if you can do something to match that i'm sure it would be allowed. STJOE made a similar thing in the middle of all his artworks. The two proper logo's that are left; drawballfans.com and the big VIP are only allowed because of their contribution to the art on the ball.
  3. Don't worry, it's done on computer id now not ip :)
  4. The thing is, all your kara gear will be replaced by greens and blues by 72-73, just from world drops and 5-mans. I heard that if you're full t5-t6 your gear will see you right up to the late 70's.. like 78-80, but for kara and entry level epics it'll be a lot of effort for maybe a month or two's use.
  5. Good idea, specially with the new heirloom pieces. http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/09/11/bi ... -revealed/
  6. Well at least 1 picture is still there. http://www.drawball.com/cat
  7. Yeah Hypah broke it XD the old ball will be back when he fixes it all though, he said Sunday night his time (which is US time i think).
  8. This. My reset time was 4pm GMT, which was the same time that i first stocked the resources.
  9. It's just concept art. When designers design something like this they don't just draw one thing and stick with it. They'll draw lots of different designs, as many as they can think of and then run it past a team to decide on the best looking one. As appears to be the case with this picture.. the design that was chosen for the skillcape ook was the 2nd on from the left.
  10. No scrolls for me either in 99 slayer levels :( 10+ left halves, 5+ spears, 5+ d meds, 0 scrolls. They're probably one of the lowest drop-rate items in the game. maybe second to a chain from dusties.
  11. Wow i left the ball for a few weeks and our logo's vanished when i come back XD Well i guess it's time for me to retire from DB, i was with the logo from the start and it's been fun fighting the trolls an scribblers (I'll miss D3N the most XD) i've spent too many hours on that site though. Good luck to everyone that wants to keep fighting.
  12. I think the prices sound right for early-adopters. I.e. it's gonna drop, but people that have to get new equip on release will pay it. The blessed spirit shield.. well it's the same price as a dfs for vastly reduced def and no str bonus. It's basically a d sq with a little pray bonus. I'd expect that to fall to the 1m mark. The two 65mil shields i can see dropping sub-10m before too long too, they are unique in a melee shield in that they offer amazing mage att/def, but there's little demand for those stats to justify a huge price tag. The two 85m shields i'm not too sure on though. The elyssian one could well hold it's price or even rise. If you want pure damage reduction it cant be beaten. The fairly high requirements - the quests need to be done/fairly high stats etc and also the lack of a str bonus could hold it back. time will tell i guess.
  13. Heh i thought that when i started reading about it. Going on early sketchy details that came through me and some mates were working out a possible way to 5-man it using a main tank and 3-4 rangers on lunars to act as healer/dps. Although it seems like the easiest way is in fact just to brute force it ;/. I was hoping that the boss would put out huge damage to the tank but negligable damage to anyone out of melee range.. it'd be interesting to have to coordinate lunar mages to take shifts healing the tank while dpsing with range, while also having to watch their placement to avoid that AoE thing he does. In other words i wanted a fight that used some semblance of skill instead of hit it til it's dead :P
  14. I fail to see how these shields can be better than a shield that is capable of frying your opponent. DFS was bought for its def stats not its seldom used spec. Wonder what this shields stats will be like.. tyhe most expensive one is now the most expensive useful combat item in game (3a player prices don't count)
  15. Nagrand has always been one of my favourite zones. Probably because after the bleakness of hellfire and the gloomyness of zangar you're suddenly out in rolling green hills and bright sunshine. Plus it kinda reminds me of 2 of my favourite newbie zones.. barrens and STV. Halaa PvP is fun too if it ever happens on your server, although it's usually pretty much ignored.
  16. Yep tortoise, granite usually 1-2 hits anyway.. you wouldn't notice a difference with a golem.
  17. Best party chest ever? Not my pic, my mate was there and took this screen. A friend of his got 3 noted whites. Edit: here's the guy that got the whites..
  18. Really nice for a first peice. What you say you used a photo as a template, do you mean you traced it or just used it for reference? Nothing wrong with tracing an outline for your first, as it'll help you focus more on colouring and shading but doing it all 'from scratch' will help you practice facial anatomy. I like the palette you used, and the background colour really helps bring it out.. you've go a pretty good eye for colour, i think the shading would look better with a little dithering though, specially on the forehead.. it'll help hide the 'rings' of shades.
  19. Dragon chain, slayer cape and what looks like a red mask. Slayer capes have red shoulderpads ;)
  20. Before forming an opinion of something you should first have an idea of how it actually worked.
  21. The gnome gliders and the spirit tree both take you there, both are rewards from gnome quests (i forget which ones exactly)
  22. try this http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewcate ... cat_id=806
