One for the history books....
I bet Michael Jackson will be mentioned in the history books. You know those cultural sections of chapters? There's no way he's evading one of those. Lord, I find it so hard finding people who share this view with me. Thank you.

what do you think will happen in 2012?
QFT Enough with these replies. Add to the thread or don't post. Lighten up noob mod (mind if I call you that?). They're just stating their opinion and giving a proper perspective of what the general view of this forum is in response to the question, and in a succinct and efficient manner to boot. That is, they are adding to the thread. And I agree with them.

What Shape are you in?
You see that weight thingy? You're supposed to lift it! Last summer I tried eating as much as I could fit in my body. I made a deal with friends that whatever they bought for me, I'd eat. Didn't gain any noticeable weight for those 3 months. This summer, I hit the gym. Within the first month I started filling out. My shoulders are broader, the length from my nipples to my back has practically doubled, and my shirts are getting harder to take off. ^For LittleBoy, if you haven't shaped your lower abs (aligned with your bellybutton) do a set of situps with your legs in the air, as if you're putting them up on a table. In the first month? Baring the fact that that description is disturbing to no end... uh, seriously? I'm pretty sure muscle takes time to grow. Excuse me if you're exagerating to make a point.

On who, Dusty? He just seems to be pokin' fun, no harm done. Maybe if I thought he had a reason to be mean to me I'd "go for it", but considering I don't see one there I can only assume he's just making a clever observation. And it's true, I don't see that many people copying my sig  .

Screw you. That was starting to turn into a nice conversation. Y'know what's funny Reb? I've never seen anyone else actually copy-paste that signature of yours (aside from those random steal the avatar/signature times). I guess that means you're crazy. I've actually seen a few. Mind you no more than half a dozen or so, but that just means I can be crazy with friends.

What non-physical characteristics do you find attractive?
That seems to be the motif of this thread. 2's and 8's don't mix people. 2's and 8's don't mix. Did I post that? Man I'm a tool.

Where do you hope you're going to University?
Oh please. I don't care how much of a grudge you have against legacy, idiots rarely if ever get into a "prestigious school". If a kid with a sixteen hundred sweats about getting into a school, an idiot with a lot of legacy sure as hell ain't gettin' in unless he's got some decent grades and scores too. Which would tend to make him not an idiot. Maybe a couple (read: a small handful of) kids of super rich parents who own places like the Marriot and can sneak in, but if they aren't smart enough they usually don't survive past the first year, second at most. At least that's the way it is here.

5(+) Things you gotta do before you die.
What's with everyone and visiting Japan? I mean, today I got a letter from the Cornell Study Abroad organization about my eligility to travel this year, and the first thing I thought was "Japan Junior year", but... wtf? Literally, everyone here keeps saying, under places to go, "Japan". Please don't tell me it's for the anime. If you have any questions about that feel free to PM me.

What Shape are you in?
Yes, but that's not easily communicated quantitave information. Which is why I added body fat percentage, and why I think others who know there's should too. BMI says I'm overweight, but I'm the far from big.

What Shape are you in?
I didn't take it personally (although I do take that jibe personally), I just sensed a subtle tone of insult to a lot of the members here (you felt the need to mention to mention that you are comfortable with yourself and thus don't measure yourself, implying those who do aren't). Okay, talking isn't go anywhere (question got answered than reasked),numbers will. Anyone here who is a little confused as to why he's confused, raise your hand please and add some input, 'cause I've already added all I can.

What Shape are you in?
You don't know your height and weight? Are you serious? If you don't know those facts about yourself I might doubt that you'd know your own age. It's not because, unlike your amazing self, every person is absurdely insecure about themselves. It's some of the most basic medical information about yourself- like your blood pressure or heart beat, but more useful to know outside of the doctors office. Why in God's great name makes your think it's weird to know your own height and weight?

5'8", 170, ~8% body fat. Muscle about equal on upper and lower body. Got my wind back from my select soccer days too by playing in an indoor league this summer.

What You Consider Attractive in Men and Women
Yeah, I can only really give an outline of it because well, as you said, there are so many other little factors that are completely different from person to person that could either intensify the attraction or put me off completely. Works both ways. Meh, fair enough. My point that I don't like reading everyone saying they like "intelligent, easy-going, fun good-looking women" still stands though.

What You Consider Attractive in Men and Women
I read a scientific article about the similarity between one's significant other and their parent a ways back... let me fish it up. Ah, here: Hot_moms_and_sexual_imprinting [hide=Short article]Wednesday, September 03, 2008 Hot moms and sexual imprinting Guys: have you got a hot mom? Chances are your wife will be a looker, too. The same goes for daughters of hunky fathers. Women tend to date guys that look like their fathers, and sons go for gals that look like their mothers, according to a new study of facial similarities between romantic partners and their parents. The paper is published this week in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B (DOI: 10.1098/rspb.2008.1021). Tamas Bereczkei, a biologist at the University of Pecs, Hungary, and his colleagues mapped the faces of 67 young, long-term couples at their university, as well as each parent, measuring facial proportions such as the ratios of face length to width, nose length to face height, and mouth width to height. Based on these numbers, Bereczkei's team found that, overall, the face of a woman's boyfriend's more closely resembles her father's than the faces of other males in the study. The correlation was most striking for measurements of the centre of the face, such as the ratios between nose length to face height and eye width to face height. Men also dated women whose faces more closely resembled their mothers than other women in the study. But here, men seemed to focus on the lower part of the face. The ratios between jaw and face width and lip fullness (height) and width of their mothers and girlfriends tended to match. These findings hint at a process well documented in animals - and only beginning to emerge from studies of humans - called sexual imprinting. Exposure to adults can bias young animals to pick future mates that resemble their parents. This could be evolution's way of maintaining adaptations to local environments. Mating with someone too different from you and your parents could compromise such adaptations. On the other hand, the same process might also dissuade animals from picking mates that look too similar to their parents and even siblings to hold onto a modicum genetic diversity, which could come in handy if environmental conditions change or disease erupts. This is called optimal inbreeding. And while studies in animals have found the same kind of opposite sex imprinting, "we do not know the precise mechanism of imprinting-like phenomenon in humans," Bereczkei says. Ewen Callaway, online reporter[/hide] Heh, when I discovered this I actually sent this to my mom saying how lucky I am. No better compliment than science :) .

What You Consider Attractive in Men and Women
I think I said this before on the last thread, but generic kinds of sexual attraction does not a good thread make. I find it interesting reading what makes some people here interested in a certain kind of girl, what makes a girl "the one" as opposed to "close to a 10". If all people can list is the same stuff that everyone else is listing, I lose faith in that thing we call "love". Don't make me lose faith. I hurt people that make me lose faith. I like a soccer girl. I like a girl that doesn't know when to shut up, a girl that doesn't know when she's supposed to stop laughing. I like the dark haired ones- I'm blonde enough as it is, don't need more of that. I like a girl that takes too many risks and doesn't mind getting into trouble every once in a while. And... and I have a feeling there's a lot more I don't know about what I like. Guess I'll find out later.

Fed up with life and the way it is going.
You sound more bored than depressed. If you're going to the Marine Core soon(ish) than chillax and enjoy your quiet free time. I'm going to tough engineering school in the fall and taking twenty creds, so I don't feel bad about being a bum three weeks before schoolwork hell begins.

Fed up with life and the way it is going.
Are you looking for alone time entertainment suggestions (books, shows, games), self-improvement suggestions (learning a language or a skill), or experiencing life suggestions (uh.. skydiving, etc.)?
