North Korea Conducts Nuclear Test
North Korea was already telling everyone that they had successfully launched a satellite into space as we watched it fall into the sea. But regardless of their laughable attempts at appearing better than they are, aren't multiple nations paying them not to do this?

Conservative Host Scoffs Waterboarding; Is Waterboarded; Say
Ha, last month a couple of my fraternity brothers thought it'd be fun to waterboard each other to see who could last the longest. Needless to say I didn't join in the shenanigans.

Pseudo-, although it's a prefix. "Your pseudoscience is evidence of your pseudointelligience." It's subtle.

Being a Geek is now "cool" in today's pop culture...
fastortoise, interesting point. I missed that, good catch. Evolution is the keyword here. If the offsprings of nerds or geeks manage better than other, evolution will eventually favour those who get attracted to nerds. You're confusing sociology and biology mate. One day, god forbid, nerds may be preferred if intellect becomes a main factor of sexuality in our future, but that will not change the genetic desire to have healthy, strong children. Tall, good looking, strong men have been preferred as mates since the dawn of the homo sapien. Only when basic innate sexuality is overcome by a desire to, say, live a more wealthy life, does it ever appear that nerds seem to win out (which theoretically doesn't even correlate anyways since nerds have social ineptitude and lack of confidence that bars them from succeeding in the world). I'm sorry, but realistically speaking, the large majority of intellect comes from nurture, not nature. Your booksmarts don't mean s**t when it comes to kids, and thus when it comes to one's biological desires. Note: Let's not talk about evolution, let's talk about biology. For all intents and purposes, humans are no longer evolving. It's a waste of breathe to discuss it.

Women instictively want sexy sons, its basic evolutionary science. Nerds don't give off phenotypic traits that would allude to them having the genes for that. So baring the fact that nerds are amazingly socially awkward, women aren't naturally driven to get with them. So no, not until the day that all tall, good looking musclebound men are hobos with limited social skills will nerds have a chance of taking over the gene pool. Sorry for ruining the pipe dream. Also, I've read all of those as well, and I'm not what you'd call a reader. I also know java and matlab, but I'm not what you'd call a programmer. So either make a better case for why you think you're a nerd of merit, or try to attain my sexual attractiveness to compensate, as impossible as that may be.

Weightlifting - Your RL STR Lvl :D
I actually tried squating closer to my max today; usually I do half a dozen sets of squats, so I usually do them around 225. I ended up doing three sets of 250 after two of 225 (8 per), so I guess my max is higher than I thought. What would y'all define as maxing? A set of 8 (maybe 10) with perfect form? Less? More?

My god, can you just appreciate the science of his work rather than how it fulfills your teenage rebellious pseudoatheism? Tl;dr: you're annoying.

Things that annoy the hell out of you
Sometimes its easier 'talking' over the internet because you don't have to talk face to face. (And you have more time to answer so you don't say anything stupid). I have met a person I've known online in real life. Of course, I've been keeping up to date with this girl for a couple of years and she just happened to be in my area so we agreed to meet up :). I was veeery close to someone from these forums too :P Racheya, I could very well be the asian version of you :o I'm going to admit one of my faults to teach you a lesson. So lesson the hell up. Do not do that. Do not rely on the internet as a primary form of communication. Doing so for an extended period of time literally cripples you- you become so used to having the time to not say stupid things and so used to the freedom of anonymity that you don't gain the experience to actually deal with people in the real world. As a kid I was like that, and after realizing how dumb that was a few years ago I've spent the entire time recovering from the mistake. So, for the love of god, don't be like me and tell your runescape clanmates about your lesbianism. Like I did. Ya. Get the hell off the computer. All of you. This ain't an apatow world.

And you know multiple of these people who fit the criterea of top .01% intellectually o_O? If you do, okay, nice point, but if you don't, can we talk about actually visible social stigmas? It's nice that a couple geniuses are also born with good looks (like me), but that's different from people who are just socially inept and dive into books rather than face the outside world. On top of that, I seem to recall reading or viewing something about the top young geniuses of our world, and an anaysis of their personalities showed that nearly all of them were either a) amazingly reclusive and odd, or B) so absurdely arrogant that being in their presence wold be considered hell on earth. One german kid was neither though, he was cool.

R-really? If you can name two people who even remotely fit that description, I'd be impressed, 'cause I gotta tell ya, I'm currently residing at one of the top ten schools in the nation, in engineering, and I really frikkin can't attest to that. Except for the Asians. For some reason they're immune to all stereotypes except for the fact that they're all frikkin smart.

It's not that the capes are nooby, it's that the people who wear them have an undeserved sense of arrogance to them.

Jokes aside, assassin is right- the pectoral muscles are in general trained more for show than for use. Although, based on peoples upper body to lower body muscle ratios, I'd say that's the case a lot of the time.
