Woman turns in $65,000.
And I'm not  . Who cares if it's one of the most common kiddy lessons, people should do the right thing because it's the right thing, not 'cause it get's 'em Karma points or will give them a higher chance of getting into Heaven >_>. [Oh sh*t, I said the word, watch out for the four-and-a-half page spamfest.]

Woman turns in $65,000.
You act like adults need to be pampered like children to do the right thing in this situation. Oh, wait... #-o . - Seeing as how I've never found $100 on the ground, let alone 65grand, I have no idea what I'd do. If it was later in my life and I had enough money, [i believe] I'd turn it in. But if it was after college, and I was strapped for cash... eh, I might pocket a bit, but turn most of it in. I want to say I'd turn it in, I think I would, but obviously I am in no position to say whether or not I really would.

First thing you did at Tip.it forums?
Well, for a vague sense of irony, this thread was actually created months before I joined. Eh, if this gets anywhere... my first post was about Dagganoth Kings, asking about maging. Kind of made a big hobby out of it all last year, before I quit da game :-w .

Rate a Quote game
Eye for an eye means: If someone hurts you, you hurt them back. So what the quote is saying is that when you keep doing that, soon the whole world wil be in chaos/dead.. ? Not it doesn't. It's part of Hannarabi's Code, one of the first governmental mandates in history. The law stated that if you blind someone else, you will be blinded- the harshness of the punishment equals the harshness of the crime (same goes for all crimes, not just the blinding example). It's rather barbaric and vengeful, and thus it has been abandoned as a part of law, but it's still a logical concept. The irony of the twist on that part of the Code is that it doesn't actually make the whole world blind; the punishing ends after the one being prosecuted recieves his or her punishment. Hm :-k .

Me, I'm terrified, but again, I'm a pessimist.

the wonderful world of...anime
T_T I was waiting so long for the dubbed version of the climax Soul Society Arc fight, and now I have to wait basically another year for it T_T. If I recall, episode 51 is Hitsugaya-certain evil characters based, but there may have been a scene with Yachiru (pink haired girl) and Ikkaku Madarame (bald spear dude) in that episode. She messes with him a lot ^_^. As to your point, Death Note starts on October 20th, after Bleach 52. Which is hilarious, considering the fact that Bleach 52 and 53 are connected in one hour long episode. What are they guna do, cut the episode in half, ending it right in the middle? That'd be hilarious. And by hilarious, I mean frikkin' hella annoying as $*&%.

The Great Sig & Profile Stealnage Thread - Round 2!
Your comparing someone with a postcount in the 2000's and someone with a postcount in the 8000's. Hey, it's four digits and four digits, that's the last thing people would catch :P .

Long hair
Yes. Treat your hair as you would treat a woman - be gentle! Put your hair in a towel and gently squeeze it. If you rough it about too much you'll end up breaking it and having lots of flyaway bits and split ends. As far as washing it goes, I wash and condition mine every other day and it remains shiny and swishy. Hair should not be washed every day - it strips your hair of all the natural oils, which in turn, depending on your hair type, either causes more oil to be produced - making your hair greasy, or leaves you with very dry hair. I swear, this Merc-Suzi switch is screwing me up way more than all the others combined, and I've got at least two copies running around right now.

Speed of light problem
Sorry about that, the only thing I have read (and remembered) was Newton's theory of gravity. The way my professor was talking about just lead me to assume the stuff that I mentioned, but we never talked about the "speed of gravity." We never went further than Newton's theories when dealing with gravity either. I've also mentioned Newton throughout all of this, but now that I think about it, it might have been someone else. Who made the F~(m1xm2)/(d^2) proportion? Well, first it's F=G(m1*m2)/d^2, not sure if that's a typo or not. G is the universal gravitational constant, 6.636*10^-11. The equation was formulated by Newton, while the G constant was calculated by Henry Cavendish (after Newton had died).

You're always better, right?
Exactly, hit the nail on the head. If one has a lower level then you, they're a noob whom you could t0t4IIy pWn. If they're level is higher, then they have no life and are worthless in your eyes, no matter how small the difference between your levels. It is the one true Law of the 'Scaper Psyche. It's Runescape, getting the e-cred and respect people can't get in real life is part of how players work. For some, it's more or less the only reason they play. If getting that e-cred involves bashing others to feel better about themselves, whilst protected by anonymity, then that's what they're going to do. I don't care what 4chan says, Anon needs to burn. It'd make this game so much better if players weren't protected by anonymity.

Speed of light problem
Do you have a source on that? I'm not quite sure it's true.
-
Speed of light problem
Yes. Here's the cheap way out of explaining it, Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_of_gravity
-
Speed of light problem
Incorrect. That theory of Newtonian phsyics has long since been disproved. I have to go right now, so I can't go find a source for you (though I'll get one for ya lata), but as an example, if the sun were to explode at this very moment, it would take a complete 8 minutes for us to feel the gravitational effects. Nothing moves faster than the speed of light, not even gravitons.
-
Speed of light problem
Ack, just Wiki it or something :P . I don't have a source; I just learned that a while back, and don't remember exactly where I heard it from first.

Favorite Ties?
Heh, as N0M and Diesel will most likely point out later on in this thread, at our school we had to learn how to tie a tie in gym class freshman year. Because of that lesson, even though I rarely tie a tie I can still do it perfectly when I do have to wear them :-w . Not really that hard, just two swings and a few loops. Like a five step process or something. Still, glad it was part of the curriculum. On that note, ties are meant to be burnt, not worn.

Speed of light problem
Yes it does. The graviton travels at the speed of light, just like photons. That is, you might not travel at the speed of light (considering the fact that you're not massless), but the force moving you is.
-
Speed of light problem
No, [summation of] Force = mass*accelaration, not mass*velocity.
-
Speed of light problem
Well, when you consider the fact that it's not possible, it's kind of hard to discuss the matter. Now if we're talking sub-light speeds, BOOM!!!! should suffice as an answer.

The "Cost" Of A Mature Conversation?
No, I mean to say that yes, I encountered a myriad of immature players when I still played, but that doesn't mean I feel a need to discuss how much more mature I am then them with my peers. I'm not flaming you specifically, just making a point that Tip.iters in general need to get off their high horses for once >_>. And stop intentionally spelling immature wrong as bait, we know you know how to spell it, so spell it right please. [And what the hell was that "argue with" vs. "argue against" banter about :-s ?]

The "Cost" Of A Mature Conversation?
what makes be better then everyone else? nothing, besides the fact that over 60% of people who play rs are immuture kids who talk about crap laugh about crap and ruin the entire economy and community Agreed Kashi. So, the only way you all [note the plural posters] can find to think of yourselves as intelligient and mature is to compare yourself to Runescape players, a group who's average age is fairly low in comparison to your own? I swear, this is just like the thread about funny RSOF posts- beyond the comedy, it's all about filling your ego's with the fact that you're older and [possibly] smarter than most of the people posting on that forum. Despicable. Get off your high horses for God's sake. You don't look intelligient by putting down 'Scapers, nor do your ego's portray a mein of any level of proper maturity. To say you're all full of hot air would be misinformed, for air actually has mass. You're all full of something all right, but how you can be full of something when you have nothing worth filling yourselves up with is completely beyond me.

Long hair
Tried it. No. I looked like a... I dunno, my vocabulary isn't colorful enough to portray the horror. That, and I found out that gel works a little better on short hair... . May be obvious, but it's true- don't gel long hair, it's too heavy, even when it's just past your ears. Gel is for short hair, period :-w .

First tag, now this?
We already know humans are morons, there's no need to continually reastablish that obvious fact people.
