That's one of the perks of having Karamja Gloves 4, the ones you get from the elite tasks. Happens once a day, I imagine it increases chances of success against Jad quite a bit. Gotta kill Jad for that to work. So it's not as great as you'd think. Personally, killing with deflects might become kinda common if it doesn't summon healers. I'd certainly have tried, because at one point I was quite good at getting Jad to healers then dying after.

my team with all shadow silk hoods got a hood drop on a spider yesterday and this level 83 noob with a hood picks it up and alchs it instead of giving it to me its not like i was leeching :( bad fortune for me, the others woulda gave it Dude, I just posted in your rant topic about it! Sucks for people who don't find hoods. I got lucky with mine, all I can say. Honestly, Jagex should consider some 100% way for you to get them. Maybe hexes too....Providing you have the slayer level, of course.
-
This. That really, really sucks dude. I wouldn't alch a hood if I saw someone on my team without one at the start.

Hence why they don't die on bosses, lol.

How are you preparing for Bonus XP Weekend?
Sir_Squab replied to Da2Shae's topic in General Discussion
Sold stuff, spent money on herblore, bought stuff for herblore, went to TDs, got a TD head (all of the dragon chucnks they drop are part of their body) and claw drop, sold that, spent more on herblore. Hoping to get enough money for 1k spec restores, super antifires, super att/str pots. Or maybe I'll try to get 500 of em or something. Right now I'm looking at 2.5k+ super def pots and 6k+ super attack pots. (I'm making more unf pots then I got the supps for, due to scroll of cleansing - so after I make my unf pots I'm buying more secondaries.) Tl;dr Herblore, making money for herblore, more herblore. -
If you had just written something like "Items aren't unbuyable anymore ", I probably would have just said "Oh, my bad". But you had to go TYPE IN ALL CAPS, and tell me to THINK BEFORE I POST. I have no respect for people with such little respect and patience for anyone else... And by the way - and I can't believe you didn't get this from my original post, because despite the one word difference I thought I was pretty clear on this - my complaint was that we have to endure 3 weeks of high prices. Not that we have high prices. Of course prices are going to double since xp doubles, that's obvious. The point is that if you're going to buy anything in the next 3 weeks, you pretty much HAVE to save it for bonus exp weekend, or you're paying double for training. And by the way, if you don't mind being an ass, then I can only assume that means you like this kind of confrontation, which by definition makes you a troll. I suppose I should just ignore your assery from now on. I should have ignored you in the first place, but I guess I have too much respect for people like you, because I give you the benefit of the doubt. Honestly, despite his being an ass, at the end of the day I agree with him. Your first post wast talking about how stuff was unbuyable, which these days the only thing that comes remotely close to that are certain Rares. You aren't the only person I've seen use the word unbuyable on this thread, which is rather annoying because, again, that concept doesn't exist anymore. That has been replaced by the concept of just paying a bunch more money for an item then the GE price. I think even Nex/Corp drops can easily be gotten on the GE, as long as you know what the right price is. As for things being exorbitantly priced, that is true, but it should go down before the weekend. So, people who spent a bunch on herb stuff might end up having done something very stupid. Which would include me, lol. On the one hand, I doubt they work, on the other hand, why not use them anyways? If your doing the type of skilling that you can use urns for, all they'd do is add to your exp right? That being said, I wouldn't go out of your way to do skilling that involves urns, even if the exp for them was boosted. Personally, I doubt it, since it's like something you trade in for exp. It's not really "normal" skilling I'd say.

A GREAT way to spend your bxp weekend
Sir_Squab replied to GuidesForScapers's topic in General Guides
Well, the enchanting arena is great exp. The rest of it...isn't. Only do it if you want the items. Or, well, at lower levels the exp isn't that bad. Honestly though, I'd say it's only good exp/money if your like, level 33 mage lol. Well, doing all 4 of them. -

Did some of this on the way to 99 magic. :P -
You still need to pot to 91.

Totally the wrong place for this topic, belongs in help and advice. Alas, I have no idea how many alches you could do, but I think alching is a really, really bad way to train magic. Try string jewlery or bursting.

Your basing it upon the assumptions that the claim "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" is an extra ordinary claim. From the perspective of logic, you need to define what an extra-ordinary claim is and what extra-ordinary evidence is. Without any strict definitions, I could use that claim to argue that an alien corpse isn't evidence of the claim aliens exist. on the notion that the claim that aliens exist is an extra-ordinary one but bringing back a corpse of something is ordinary evidence for proving the existence of a creature, and therefore by extension not an extra-ordinary one. However, then one could argue that the corpse of an alien is both ordinary (because the corpse as proof a species is standard procedure for evidence of a species) and extra-ordinary proof, because, damnit, IT'S A BLOOD ALIEN CORPSE. One of the major flaws of doing logic in natural languages. Bottom line: Define extra ordinary evidence and extra ordinary claims. However, realistically, the best you could do is make a guideline for it. Another thought: just because extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence does not logically mean that ordinary claims do not require extraordinary evidence. Anyways, the assumption that the claim is illogical is based on the assumption that the claim "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" is, in fact, an extraordinary one. You could always just define it as being an ordinary claim and you'd be fine. Or, you come up with something that can be considered extraordinary evidence for it.

They could be dead anyways, but the timer has no effect on whether or not herbs die.

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
Sir_Squab replied to Obtaurian's topic in Help and Advice
Think you would. Although pures aren't that effective in DG, but it's more a matter of how good you are to be honest. Although you'll die a bit more then most lol. -
Oh, if you slay and get a wyvern task, DFS is useful there. Just thought I'd throw it out there. But yeah, DFS isn't really needed for much.

Hey, if the prices stay this low or lower, I can dream of owning full Virtus one day! I hope that the prices go down lower then they are now tbh. I want full Virtus someday, when I have more money and Virtus is hopefully cheaper. Hey, maybe this BEW weekend will help prices! =D People have been complaining about the last two causing GW to be way more crowded, hopefully this will apply to Nex? I can drea,,,

There's never a rainy day in Runescape
Sir_Squab replied to VoidRealm's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
LOL! You realize Jagex are English too. Also, the term Englishman is sexist. And if it makes you feel better, everyone on RS is a left-handed bowperson; the standard way of using a bow is pulling back the string with your dominant hand, whereas everyone on RS uses their left-hand. Because of this, I think the right hand/left hand thing might just be an odd piece of programming that's very difficult to get around. At the very least it presumably was when RS came out, and Jagex just hasn't considered it a big enough deal to do anything about. -
If you could vote again, what would you vote?
Sir_Squab replied to Miner_Guy's topic in General Discussion
I think what'd be more interestings, change the vote options slightly, 5 options - - Don't really care - Voted no and would still vote no - Voted no and would vote yes - Voted yes and would still vote yes - Voted yes and would vote no -

Eh, think I'd vote the same tbh. -
Chaotic whip. Same rarity as d chain from dusties. /troll But seriously, wilde causes whips to not get removed from when when people die pk'ing, which essentially increases the supply. There's no new demand for the whip. Also, what's wrong with the price of the whip going down? And what good would raising the drop rate do? Ok, whip hunters can make more money from whip, if they get a drop; but how much more money they make per whip will be directly proportional to how few whip drops they get.

Gotta reword myself a bit. I meant that when a random appears in the wilderness and you get tele'd out thanks to an accidental screwup, it gets annoying trying to get back to that place (say you're Chaos Elemental hunting or doing clues). Am I the only one here with every single random event costume piece? Doubt it. I have most in my POH. No idea if I'm missing any pieces, but I've realized I don't particularly care.
-
Um, unless they did like 1year + till BEW, there'd always be a big panic at announcement for supplies. Interestingly enough, we've had two in march so far. This could mean that all future BEW will be in march and september. If so, it'd be nice for Jagex to announce it - if that happened, I doubt there would be any large changes in the economy. It'd be interesting.....people only training herblore twice a year lol....
-
What a lot of people don't get is that, without price restriction limits, nothing actually becomes unbuyable. The price just goes up a lot - I got the supplies for 2500 super def pots in 5 minutes by just figuring out what price to pay for them. Which, on hindsight, probably wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, but that's beside the point. Annoyed at prices for regular things going up fine, but it's not unbuyable. It IS buyable, just at 2.5X the price in the case of some items. (Looking at you herblore.) Thank you Bladewing. If an items under say, 1bil, it's buyable so long as you have the money.

I WIN! Mod, please lock thread nao w.o posting >.< ......Platygoatupous.

Honestly, biggest problem I have with the coffin guy is I KNOW HOW TO DO THE DAMNED RANDOM. YES, I DO KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
