  1. You really don't need the herbicide. Honestly, until like, 90+ DG it's a waste of tokens. It has it's uses, but there's much better items to prioritize higher and get first.
  2. People don't mention good items to merch because if everyone knew about it, it wouldn't be good....

Not saying some high level slay monsters couldn't use a buffer, but I think we'd have been better off with the old drop table.
  4. But girls can't DG. MAKE IT YOUR NEW AVATAR!!!!!  ;). I lol'ed. That's freaking hilarious. Now, I'm off to gouge out my eyes.
  5. As good as claws are, I'd say get your herblore up before keeping a set of claws imo.
  6. L2housetab. Seriously. I freaking love house tabs. Farming profits should be somewhat resistant to influx of supply. But yeah I kind agree with you for farming. As for mining, Mining is boring. I could care less if people stopped mining if jagex just replaced mining training with a new minigame like they've been doing with all the skills lately :P anyways did anybody figure out what happens when the ring of wealth glows more brightly? In an ideal world, that mining minigame would be used to get ores that server a useful purpose of some sort. But I see your point, the current mining system sucks. Damn though, hope these drops get nerfed.
  7. I also get horribly mad with w148 teams now i know how to dung, thanx to DGS. :P Also... I got 70rc so i can wear a CSB, i did 3 floors without getting one, just saw 1 mage wearing one but no drop, are they rare to get ? :/ Not particularly. Hell of a lot less rare then hoods lol.
  8. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/magic_magical_equipment 10m for a wopletinger lol. Dont think so - 400k in about a week. Wolpe = +7. Amazing how this is an amazing update, yet they seemed to mess up with raising monster drops on a lot of things, multiple sigils.... Oh, good. Monsters drop herbs/coal more often. Who needs mining/farming? Overall, the update is full of win, but still. Also glad I sold my Arcane for bonus exp. Sad that my laptop is getting fixed at best buy.
  9. Gotta be related to EP. ....no matter how I spin this, it still won't make sense. People can just use cheap melee weapons for EP, if it was still allowed. Wait, didn't Jagex disable some crap items for EP? Durr....
  10. this is partially true... I saw two teenage girls walk out of the public restroom together where I work. there's only one toilet in our restrooms....... OMFG. HORRIBLE THOUGHT. Two girls, one toilet. Two girls, one me. DOES IT NEVER END, NINTENDO?! LMFAO. I REALLY want to play as a [bleep]ty girl now. My RS avatar would do all kinds of degrading things for the right price...

  12. Kinda off-topic, I just read that FAQ about the smithing update. Hopefully it means they ARE going to release something to make high level smithing better, they just wanted this supposedly better training method first. They might need to adjust exp rates since I heard addy plates with SC hammers is still better and cheaper. Although, this has the benefit, from what I've seen, of being way way less of a grind.
  13. I knew it was possible. Then I scrolled down and saw your sig. Your just trying to brag about it. Well, kudos, I guess. Is difficult. Eh.
  14. I casted a couple spells over the weekend, so I definitely went from 99 mage to 99 mage. Most noteable was 82-92 herblore =D Heck, I can even do all the effigies if I stew enough o.O Also went from 78-80 herblore. For the Seers diary. Then I stewed it. Yeah. Fletching. Think I got a DG level or two. Didn't do any DG until like 1.1x. Made a few geysers cos I sold mine before bonus exp.
  15. I lol'd. To the OP: As a female playing Runescape -- and in particular one who is older and has children -- I can tell you that there are a lot of women playing. You'd be surprised at number of "moms" who play the game. Most of them are like me, they got into playing because their children played. Now our children no longer play, and us moms are all hooked on it. Such a good role model. :shame: Meh - I have a job, three kids, a husband, a car and a mortgage. I think I've earned some time to myself to have a little fun each night. :P That's not what the husband is for? Also, the moms play RS and the kids quit playing. Coincidence? this is partially true... I saw two teenage girls walk out of the public restroom together where I work. there's only one toilet in our restrooms....... Lol. Sadly, that doesn't surprise me. Er, a lot. A lot of women seem to treat the bathroom as some strange form of social interaction. I think. I'm far from an expert on women... Maybe more women would go on the internet if they had internet in bathrooms O.O
  16. Well, I'm pretty sure this is the first well-thought out post on why it will fail. I sincerely hope you're wrong...
  17. Well, herblore worked how it did because you already MADE lower level potions at lower levels, right? But with smithing, we currently have NOTHING that modifies armour. Therefore, we make the modify armour untradeable, and can start modding armour from level 1 smithing. Or something. There's no reason to limit this just to just 85+ smithing, unlike all those untradeable pots. Your numbers are off. See, this was part of the original problem with smithing to begin with - they made the best armour, which was level 40 at the time, require max smithing. In the long run, it's better to have 80+def req have a smithing req to modify it in the 80-89 range. The way, when level 90 armour comes out, 90-98 smithing is used to modify it. When level 99 armour comes out, you modify it in some special smithing guild you can only get into while wearing a smithing cape. Or a room in a future smithing guild that requires a smithing cape. I know you said the numbers weren't perfect, I just want to point out that making a smithing requirement involving armour HIGHER then the level for the actual armour itself is just going to [bleep] things up in the long run. Still, conceptually it seems nice. Really, I think the simple concept for making smith useful is having smith give us LP/soak boosts, maybe def boosts (I'm somewhat against offensive boosts seeing as we really don't need more then we have atm lol) and then it's just a matter of messing with the numbers. I mean, soaking could really use a buff lol. Those could be added, but it will still be considered useless unless it augments combat. Sorry, that's how it is. Really, almost everything ties into combat eventually - the herblore habitat is useful not only because of the great exp, but because of juju farming potions. Which allow you to get herbs for money. The reason herbs cost so much is largely due to extreme potions. I mean, it's got a few levels of separation FROM combat, but eventually connects back to it. As much as I agree with that, I'm not sure smithing is the skill I think I want my mage gear upgraded with. At least, it doesn't make sense to me for smithing to increase the defence stats on mage armour, imho. I'd like to point out that this topic is probably as conclusive proof as you can get that coming up with concepts to fix smithing really isn't that hard. Smithing = buffiing armour. The real question is what armours get buffed, what buffs we use, how powerful the buffs are, what the levels for the buffs are. Still a big question, but if this were to be implemented, all of those questions would really be up to Jagex. My opinion is mainly LP/soak increase for smithing, seeing as we don't have enough of that already. Not to mention that soaking and LP boosts are fairly neutral and lacking in the game, in which case it would be more appropriate for smithing to work on more then just melee armour. *scratches out and modifies an above comment*

I'd say make sure you have enough for ext att/str, then maybe keep claws. Since I have 92 summon, I'm actually going to keep the next pair I get my hands on.
  19. WHAT FAQ? Oh, and I hate to do this, but I'm pretty sure the Larry/Penguin article made a mistake. Penguins speak whatever the common RS tongue is. Stll enjoyed the article overall though :D I agree with the smithing article - it looks like a decent update and more interesting way to train smithing, although the cost is a bit steep from what I've seen. The problem is, smithing just isn't useful. As for it becoming another prayer/herblore, they could have it start at level 1 and increase with the levels. I'm certain with enough imagination you could come up with something tbh. And yeah, I know about the gambling. Either the odds are stacked against you or they're scamming you.
  20. Zartyre costs too much. Mainly wondering why X bow in considered so good when it's fairly weak.
  21. So, apparently at TDs, I've heard it's HC > X Bow > CCbow > R C bow. Someone mind explaining why that is?
  22. Why Xbow? Not using the handcannon because last time I tried, both of them blew up in 20 minutes, so why X bow over R C bow?
  23. Here's a question: why WOULD it recover?
  24. Quit RS, but keep your stuff. Consider selling a lot of it for cash or, better yet, a rare. If you come back to RS later, fine. If not, then you've moved on with your life. Give some of it away if you feel like it though; something like what one of the posters mentioned, giving 1m to some random person or something.
