  1. You mean monday. Firday is the first of the month. Of april. If there's anything about dungeoneering, 5m says heim crabs.
  2. Rule one of the no-restriction Grand Exchange: if your offer doesn't go through, either offer to pay more or offer to sell for less.
  3. Ok, you said it's a joke in hide tags, but just throwing it out there, looking at your account on the highscores, not that I really know about such things, but you could get significantly more then a dollar for your account, just saying... I would agree with those restrictions for $20 a month. This. Hell, scratch out the new MMORPG part, replace that with making skills more fun and/or less grindy to train. Hehe I can assure you I'm not  I can assure you that a JaGex Mod undercover would say that. It's not just about the price you see. Look at your Adventurers' Log and see how much time you played, then calculate how much you have already spent on RS. I spent something like $150, I suppose, for 50 days of gametime. That's 1200 hours. I could name two games off the top of my head together with which I spent at least 500-600 - and they definitely did cost less than $50 together. While playing those games (UT 2004 and Age of Mythology, to name those two examples) close to 100% of my invested time is spent... well, having fun. A large portion of my RS time was spent grinding hoping I'd have fun in the future. So, I'd say that in the end, I had the same amount of fun with UT2004+AoM as with RuneScape, and the latter was much more expensive, while also wasting a lot of my time (so, in terms of money, we could say I actually paid twice the amount above). This may vary from person to person but I'm sure that the vast majority can say that RuneScape is a terribly inefficient way to spend your money on games. Therefore I have the right to expect high value for my money, even if it does cost less than a pint of beer (over where you live even, here it doesn't). Hopefully this also shuts down this "haha, poor noob"-kind of argument once and for all. Oh. My. God. The efficiency trolls are now talking about using your time/money efficiently on video games. I feel like we've reached some sort of paradox which should cause the universe to implode while simultaneously exploding.
  4. SSH

I second this. Bind that sucker and be one of the lucky ones that gets it early >.> Well, you've probably bound it already and I hope you have, but yeah, bind it. Scavenge/make a weapon till 50, tears, pengs, a blast/surgebox might be a good bind as it's the best guaranteed weapon you can get with 1bind+hood. Here's something to think of: Katagon 2h is smithable. SSH is not. My logic, when I got my hood and took it over plate was this: if I don't like the hood I can destroy it and get a new plate smithed. I can't get a guaranteed hood anywhere.
  5. Someone in the discussion topic said he was going to try it and later said it didn't work for him.
  6. I've never tried it, but can't you prayer switch them? Pro melee, pro mage when you see the mage animation? Er, if the OP thinks he can pull that off... probably not... And yeah, there's always the whole "kill jad w/ defletcs so healers don't come" if you can pray switch but can't deal with healers.
  7. Meanwhile, pirate quests seem to make me sick. I was sick when I did rocking out too... Pity, no new bind it would seem. The optimistic part of me wants to think that Jagex decided this quest has too many reqs for the extra DG bind. The non-optimistic part of me just died a little inside. ....Or maybe that's just indigestion...
  8. I love how the first article goes to great pains to point out, hey, at one point we only had 3 minutes to get our staff back! Amg! Um, when in the hell was this ever true? Maybe with lower level gravestones, but higher level gravestone were always availble. I mean, when gravestones first came out, as long as you could get a keldragrim grave, 50k would get you 4 minutes. When they first came out. Yeah. What about before that? Oh, the items just appeared on the floor for anyone to loot like what would presumably happen if a person died, to say, a revenant? Or something? Anyways, I don't think most players want the sort of risk we used to have. I much prefer gravestones to losing all but my 3 highest alch value items.
  9. Herb runs would probably be lunar magic with spell swap, trollheim tele, catherby tele and fertile soil runes (add fishing guild if you don't have the cape) magic secaters of course, ectophial, explorers ring (with the cabbage tele) I'd epect the common consensus for armour to be fighter torso and a split between soul wars cape and fire cape.
  10. Ok, first off, beat Temple at Sennestien. Get curses. Turmoil all tasks and soul split for healing - this should make your guthans obsolete. Next, beat Smoking Kills and work towards a full slayer helm. Then slay until you can get 70 summon (depending on how long you've been away you might not need to do this.) As for gear, black mask until you can make a slayer helm, then slayer helm. I'd suggest veracs for gear right now, as it's got decent defence and prayer and doesn't cost too much. (You'll want to ditch this for better gear eventually.) Get a dragon defender, then work towards (I'd say) 88 herblore. 85 if you don't mind stewing.... I'm not 100% positive on the summoning since the main use for slayer is healing, because you already have soul split if you beat Temple at Sennestien. Work towards a rapier from Dungeoneering if you don't have dungeoneering. You should always slay with super att/str pots.
  11. For some reason, all the minos and maybe a couple other random ones are at the bottom. I think the minos were SUPPOSED to be like some sort of staple thing, good at every level....too damned slow however

Um, I hardly consider that an obscure area...
  13. from what i hear nintendo is a pretty big fan Cos she's female.
  14. What about Zamorak Godwars? If, you know, you're actually INTERESTED in that lol. Also, KQ/KBD; although KBD is hardly a boss now and KQ is just an annoying [bleep] with crap rewards these days.
  15. Even if there was no maximum accuracy(as there is no maximum damage), i'd like to know the 3 weapon binds anyone has to justify their tactician ring. If you don't, forget about it. I wanna take a guess a this.... Warhammer Longsword maul ....? So the 3 worst weapons? Wrong. Pickaxe Hatchet Dagger You'd need a weapon for every style so it'd be: rapier longsword warhammer it's just too bad baxe is a batter slash and better crush weapon than longsword/warhammer. Well I didn't guess rapier...because it has a stab agressive, and slash agressive, so bersker covers 2 styles, where as the weapons I guessed, only have one agressive style each. Meh who cares, we're talking about useless weapons (other then rapier now I guess) WHY THE [bleep] WOULD IT!?!?!?!?!?!!?! we heard the first time and second time, there's a reason we ignored you. Well, not so much that the celestial catalyctic staff SHOULD give free fires runes, but I should be able to bind a celestial staff and a surgebox and NOT need to make fires runes... EDIT: I must say though, ranting about it in all caps lock was probably a little obnoxious. Wind Surge. Nty.
  16. MTK

Sir_Squab replied to fatherdeath's topic in Help and Advice
Says the troll. Last I checked, max herbs/rest maples was the best. But since the RoW update and drop table changes, I don't know how proftable herbs from MTK are I'm afraid. Keep in mind you don't actually need to decide what you want to collect until you actually collect from the kingdom. You can switch it right before if you want :P

  18. INSERTS MY 3RD FREAKING ALL-CAPS LOCK COMPLAINT IN THIS THREAD ABOUT HOW THE CELESTIAL STAFF SHOULD REALLY GIVE US FREAKING UNLIMITED FIRE RUNES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeahhhh. Seriously, if it did, and we didn't get extra binds, I'd replace my prom 2h with it. (Note that it's a PROM 2h, something that can be replaced easily if I get rid of it for whatever reason.) Hell, if the celestial staff GAVE US FREAKING FIRE RUNES I'd try a spiritbloom top with it actually.
  19. In other words its almost never better  Well you can losslessly make range armor and making chaps +boots/vambs is relatively easy. If you have a sagi body bound, you start with 77 range attack and with chaps + vams/boots you can easily exceed 110 range attack. Very few people can successfully make full tyrano without wasting time. And assuming you keep the hood on, your range bonus would be 119 with sag body, hexhunter + rest tyranno. I don't really think it'd be worth the effort when melee works so well already. Also factor that full leather lowers your atk. While % wise it isn't a lot for a 2h's stats, it's still -bonuses, I'm pretty sure a rapier out DPS a hex on all shades if you keep yourself leather/cloth free. If not they're very close. What dung are you playing? Um, mostly abandons? Idk. To be honest, I haven't tried mage on bosses all that often. My general experience is that most bosses have higher mage levels, and therefore high magical defence, especially on large 5:5s. I'll be quite happy if I'm wrong about that =D Plus, I don't see corpsethorns often enough, and I can't make anything else. I'm half considering getting 88 fletch just to make better staffs since I don't see enough freaking corpsethorn. Also, as for the ranger thing, having one person on the team in full leather with a hex seems useful imo. Less offense in some areas, but you get more def. Personally, the best combo I think I've seen on this thread is hex/primal 2h/SSH/tyrano body/primal legs.
  20. Eh, 6 binds (an extra at 75 and 25) would give a full set of all armour except for melee with a shield. Who needs melee with a shield? You know, if I got 2 extra binds and the FREAKING CELESTIAL STAFF ACTUALLY GAVE FREAKING FIRE RUNES - GAH! I'd try binding surgebox/celestial staff/spiritbloom top/legs. (Replacing my 2h, since it's prom it's not too hard to change back.) It'd be interesting to see how useful mage would be, particularly on bosses, with that magic bonus. Sadly, mage is too inaccurate for most bosses :(
  21. I'd get the celestial staff and then whine and complain that THE FREAKING THING DOESN'T GIVE FIRE RUNES!#@!$ Ugh. On top of my SSH/Prom 2h that is.
  22. So, uh, wait. Can you say, kill a primal warrior by just standing near him with a hood and necklace? 'o.O Not that one should actually DO that, but...
  23. I believe that is true, but then what happens if you eat between the start of the attack animation (when the damage is calculated) and when the damage hits? This mainly applies to range/mage attacks. Actually, I saw a vid of a guy killing Jad because there was a glitch with this; the damage was calculated to kill him, then he eats a sweet, so his HP is higher then the incoming damage. Pretty sure that was fixed... Kinda off-topic. And I know that the damage gets calculated at the start of the attack because you get range/mage exp at the start of the attack.
  24. That's....Canifis? Why the hell did you level there >.< Gratz none the less!
  25. I'm not positive on the mechanics of how Jad works, but I was always under the impression that he started his range/mage attack animation before he officially starts using said attack, if that makes any sense.
