1. I'm totally going on a cele cat staff hunt once I hit 100. I have this strange obsession with magic.
2. Player Moderators are not forced to do anything different while playing the game. Just because they have the power to report does not mean they should. People who call Player Mods to come do something are the most irritating people in the game, "I know a Pmod I'll get them". As a Player Moderator myself there is very very few occasions where I'd go somewhere and do something for the sake of taking action against somebody, it would have to be a very extreme case that needs urgent attention to stop a risk of safety for others. Also, use your ignore list. I've told you many times before yet you seem to have a problem doing that and always complain about people continuing on saying/doing bad things. Your ignore list exists for a reason, use it. I always wanted to be a PMod. I probably would have non-stop bot hunted/scammer muted in w2. Shame, instead they seem to have given the position to more people who will mute you for saying the F word than people who actually do something. You aren't forced to do anything different, but you should. If you aren't going to don't accept the [bleep]ing modship. Afaik Player Mod reports for bots aren't handled any differently than normal players reporting them, so it doesn't matter who reports them in that case. Your attitude is the exactly opposite of what makes a good player mod. There are better ways of dealing with things than reporting every single person you see for doing the smallest stuff. Going out of your way to find these people is not why I play this game. I use my "powers" when the need arises, I don't go looking for reasons to use it and in my opinion no mod should. As far as I know, that statement is completely and utterly false.
3. Assuming you're against other high levels with good gear (bandos+ defense wise), then you're actually correct. I can't believe I just said that.... Although, the second you find a person under 120 cb (assuming average stats, and not some tank account), rapier is better for taking them down. Wow. A person who is more or less from the efficiency crowd said Gol is correct. -mind[bleep]- *brain explodes* To above poster: Slayer is actually one of the areas where Rapier really, really shines. From that list of what you do though, pretty sure the CLS would also be useless.
4. You know, for stewing for the astral runes, you don't need help from a friend. Stew at a bank. Get desired boost. Log out, back in. Get an essence carrying familiar, astral tab, fill your invent and familiar with ess. Teleport to astral altar. Take ess out of familiar. Craft. You may want to log out after you take out the tab/ess and fill familiar, just to be safe. You should probably do ZMI for training, make it so you need at most a +5 boost. Try to find stuff to fill your bank with, I know my PoH junk really helps >_> Or try to get every piece of equipment from bronze to rune. Lol.
5. Nope, you don't actually need pots to complete a DG. Just for bonus rooms. For one thing, too many problems - like, F2P having doors that need skill boosts (despite no herblore). Another potential problem is if the member can't make the required potion. Or just not having the money/drops to make the potion. Or the farming for the herb. (Granted, this is unlikely to be a problem in anything other then a small solo c:6, but still.) No skill boosting for required doors. Any door will be openable by a particular party member. Of course, you could get screwed if someone leaves. But uh, higher skill levels only increase the resources you run into (if everyone in the party has 90+ mining, you'll run into a LOT of prom ore, for example.) I should say that they increase the level of the resources and probably not the NUMBER of them. And of course, the levels required for skill doors. Also, Summon/Prayer doors aren't potable at 94. Pretty sure you can see the occasional 100+ summ/prayer door if you DG enough. Really rare though, I find 100+ doors are fairly rare in and of themselves. Major GF they are.
6. Fixed. Sorry >_> There, not they're. And I support special Board Moderators for efficient Q&A. If anything gets hotly debated, move that thread to metagaming or make a new thread in metagaming about it. (I am presuming it is understood by what I mean when I say hotly debated. As in, in terms of efficiency.)
7. Assuming RS wiki is correct, because that's the first thing that popped up on google, korasi + d def has same accuracy and higher str then Z Spear. Z spear alone has higher att/str, but I can't think of any good reason why you'd compare Korasis without D Def to Z Spear with. Unless you need a shield for something, in which case Korasi's trumps because ZS is a 2h weapon. So. (Btw I'm comparing stab accuracy just so you know.) As for magic, steels/irons are decent to mage, but it's usually cheaper to melee most tasks. Unless you feel like Ice Barraging in Kuradels dungeon just to see how high you can make mage go >_> (which I've done.) I can't see Dharoks being good for any tasks, especially since dharoks doesn't work with a full slayer helm.
8. Give those prices, common sense would dictate that it's 2-3 an hour. The way I see it, judge how much money you'd expect something like that to give you and work backwards. 20 an hour works out to be like 8m/h. No way that could be true. 2-3 an hour works out as roughly 1m/h, which seems like a much more likely and reasonable number.
9. If he can prayer flash, his internet can't be that bad imo >_>
10. Only ones that slightly impress me are Slayer, followed by HP. HP, if you train your stats evenly it's not that hard to get tbh. At one point, HP was my highest skill. Summoning doesn't seem that hard; if I stopped mage at 98, I could have probably done melee/range for 99 summon (if I put in enough time >_>) and gotten it first. One of the reason why 99 summon is/was hard to get is summon is/was a new skill. If you had say combat stats in the 90 range when summon came out, your in a bad position to get 99 first. Really, the rest of the untrimmed skillcapes don't have anything special that makes them hard as a first 99, except money for most of the buyables.
11. This is the case for everyone who isn't mad that they bought a longsword first and are now doomed to justify their decision for all time. As much as I hate even posting here to bring this discussion back, I'm definitely on the side of the rapier even though I bought CLS first. (Back when people still thought they were even-ish <_< ) Quickly saw my error and got rapier. CLS has a few small niches, but yes, everyone should get rapier first. To be fair, I went Rapier first and I've regretted it ever since. I'd really like to know your stats. You're the first person I've heard of who (I'm getting the impression) got the rapier then the longsword and actually likes the longsword better. I'd really like to know your stats and what you do with it. And lol @ above two posts: "You better be talking about X use if you say CLS is good. I am."
12. Thanks :) But darn tip.it keeps distracting me. GAH You could spam the board with inappropriate content till you get banned, then it'll stop distracting you >_> Or unplug the internet. I recommend the second option. Ontopic: I really don't think 117 or 148 is good to learn the ropes at DG. I did just enough Dungeons on 117 to realize that randoms were generally a horrible idea. DGS when you can imo.
13. Really, you're communicating using a text format that doesn't allow caps lock. Yelling is difficult. And you can always turn on the censor IF they swear at you >_> Oh, and 99 is generally the world to be on for DGS.
14. Honestly, tears/penguins till 50 at least. Explore the resource dungeons as they become available.
15. Imo, there's enough in RS that you could put together a decent movie if you put the right people on it. I think it has the potential to be a really amazing movie. That being said, my expectations are a straight to DVD launch movie with minimal success.
16. The prayer altar above the Armoured Zombies is set to imitate a prayer altar in the wilderness. Like the wilderness, if you bring extreme potions there, they get scaled down to super potions. Hence recharging prayer frequently is detrimental to your exp/h. Um, considering that, what are Armoured Zombies good for?
17. Thought it was funny when I saw members wearing dragon items achoppin in f2p... Also I didn't know the evil tree was so... sexy. It's about as bad as the "you are now entering the member's zone" pop-up when you complete a bronze sword request from Aksel in the workshop. Expect to see more of these p2p intrusions on what is supposedly a complete and separate game in the future, way things are going. EDIT: as for the death mechanics being revised, say hello to "casual." Now hang on, you do realise how bad it was a few years ago, before MMG came along, right? This is a very light nudge in comparison. Also, the death mechanics aren't as forgiving as I feared they were going to be when they were first mentioned. Ultimately the idea is to stop the scam where someone drops 4 items with high alchemy values like dragon longswords in the wilderness, so that whoever picks them up will lose items of much greater value when killed. On the other hand, certain aspects like choosing what you want to keep and more liberal respawn points are completely unnecessary. Well, really, no one LIKES losing items if they die. A low level dying at Tzhaar isn't exactly encouraged. Sad part is, bots keep their most expensive item if you manage to kill them, not to mention they stand a much better chance of getting it back. I kinda dislike the wilde change though. I mean, I can understand them wanting to stop scammers from getting whips by dragon 4 dragon items... but the prices for a lot of the items are affected BY what you keep on death. This will just play hell with prices. (Although, to be fair/honest, part of my dislike towards this is based on the fact that this update could cause claws to drop. I like expensive claws.) Even if that's true, it's not as if almost all other armor is designed for men. I don't see why you add emote "Rolleyes". Is your eyes weak? Ok, i will help: Quoting myself: So i hope that you ladies like the "crowns" (more like tiara). I just wish they could make both a male and female version, not just one way. It's really waste of items for the gender that gets a weird item. In this case for male players like myself. Why would i wear a tiara lol. [/hide]Maybe it's your turn to experience what female players do? Just out of curiosity, experience what kind of things that female players experience? Ill-fitting armor and clothing that's just ugly. Just off the top of my head, BCP bares your midriff. Why would you even wear armor if you're going to leave a big hole for weapons to go through. Female armour in video game is based on the fact that females are good looking, and the more "beauty" (aka skin) they show, the more reluctant people are to hit them. DGS is decent, and it's more or less 70+. I'm kinda indifferent to the Hexhunter idea. I don't want one, can't use one, don't have 3 binds lol. I know from the perspective of DGS, 200k tokens is too cheap for it considering it's only worth it as a 3rd bind and you have a lot of tokens at that level. I'd rather pay to upgrade my CSB in DG so it casts fire surge >_>
18. Wouldn't be bad for helping people get SSH. I'm rather indifferent to the idea; I'd rather pay for an extra bind slot and have some sort of DG slayer dungeon. (Like, a special DG filled with slayer creatures.) What I'd really like is someway to get unlimited fire runes with a Celestial staff >__>
19. whats that? You really don't want to start GWD at your level. I feel like you would get crashed a lot. Anyway, for a good money maker - start farming. It's annoying getting those first few levels - but once you can start farming ranarrs - the money will be pretty decent. IIRC, ranaars + supercompost average about ~100k a run? It's been a long time since I farmed ranaars so I'm not 100% sure but either way it's good money. I'd definitely work on farming, but check herb/seed prices for yourself first. As for dragons, full rune/anti fire shield/brackish blade is ideal. If you can't get the blade, get a dragon longsword/scimitar. (Scimitar is probably preferable, although depending on the type of dragon you fight you may want the longsword for the stab bonus. Plus you need monkey madness for the scimitar, which isn't the easiest quest.)
20. Better or easier? Doesn't the rapier still always trump the maul IF you can deal with the clicking required?
21. Lol. Priceless. I find it's both well thought out and stupid at the same time.
22. Agreed 100%. Ily Pere. <3: They were jealous that they couldn't have the cape so they voted for a crappy design. Wow, that actually makes sense now that I think about it.
23. ....the [bleep]?
24. Roar. I've decided to make an RS blog of RS stuff. My name is William (for all you potential stalkers   ) and I'm not giving any more information (for all you potential stalkers. :ohnoes: :ohnoes: ) I can often be found in the DGS clan chat and on world 99. I started playing RS shortly before the Rubber Chicken came out. Too lazy to date that atm. I have 75+ all stats, all quests and all hard diaries tasks done. I'd like to eventually get 80+ all stats and all elite diaries done, but that's a very longterm goal. I'd also like to own full Virtus someday, and an Elysian or Divine. Be years before I'll be able to do that though... Also, Dungeoneering is fun. DGS FTW! Someday I'll be 120, but don't hold your breath. (Unless, you know, you can go a REALLY really long time without breathing. Or put me in your will.) Current Stats (updated when I feel like it)
Current Goals: Unlock all the new lunar spells. I have two so far.
85 farming. Pretty much getting this through Livid Farming (only because I need to get the new spells anyhow.)
Pics to follow next time I level farming. 80 mining. Gorgonite. Adept Bloodragers.
Pics to follow next time I level mining. I also need a dragon pickaxe when I get around to working on it... Bank Pic:
Long-term goals: 80+. Elite diaries complete. I also like killing TDs. With a wealth. Planning to make a log of killing them with a wealth. See if a wealth seems better then stats boosting rings. Not to mention I just need a set of claws. And money.
I don't have any good pics yet, but I've gotten claws before. Updating this next time I get a good drop there.
25. Yeahhhh 43k bones. No. Don't do it. You could try to do math, but really, 43k bones? Vs 17k or 20k ashes. It's totally worth getting the extra 20m.
