It's Super Effective!

--> Complains about being accident prone. --> Gets excited at the thought of being attacked by a police dog. I'm seeing a connection here. I THINK YOU LIKE IT. -
So, wait, did they just describe a clingy guy and then say they don't want a clingy guy? "These days." That phrase annoys me. When a person says "these days" and they're referring to human behavior, well... I think you're an idiot because humans think the same way they have for thousands of years. Things that change are society and technology. If the "change" or new behavior can't be attributed to technology, or a change in the way society works (granted, a little harder to quantify) then chances are it's the way people thought 50 or 500 years ago. Also, blarg. To the best of my understanding, arrogance is one of those things people will say they dislike, but act differently. Girls will say they don't like arrogant guys, then become attracted to them. According to a cracked article it can make promotions easier.

Legitimate Reasons to Raise All Skill Caps to 120+

Again, pretty sure it's people who just want to return to the days where there were only 3 maxed players. Here's a question: why should Jagex make the game 7x more grindy then it is and alienate every player with a maxed combat stat and maxed cape? -

Legitimate Reasons to Raise All Skill Caps to 120+
Sir_Squab replied to NukeMarine's topic in General Discussion
Quite the opposite really. Each level offers a smaller dps increase (in %) than the previous, unless you unlock new equipment. Yes, and that is an exponential curve. Depends on what we're graphing. Are we graphing how much your DPS increases each level or just what your DPS is? The DPS as you level should just be a straight line. (Unless, of course, you unlock new equipment.) The curve for how much your DPS increases every level would be a curve with a limit approaching 0. Technically an exponential curve, but when people talk about exponential curves they generally refer to exponential growth. Also, when people talk about DPS, they tend to be talking about the actual damage per second, not graphing out how much of a boost each level gives you. The graph for DPS itself would be a straight line, again excluding equipment. Lastly, aside from summoning, new content for mage/range/melee wouldn't help balance it out much since you haven't solved the exp issue. You wouldn't be gaining exp that much faster then you are now. 120 equipment probably wouldn't even come close to doubling your exp, and you need 7x the experience for 120. Mage would fare a bit better since it gets exp per spell, but mage is also probably the most expensive combat 99 and Jagex is moving away from that with the combat beta. (I want it on record that on second thought this paragraph might be entirely wrong.) Also, here's a fact: the highest tier weapons and armour we have are level 80. Asking for 120 combat skills so you have more room for new weapons and armour is REALLY getting ahead of yourself. Summoning is the only one that might be justified, but I'd rather see Jagex work on like, every single other skill in the game first. -

AHappySeeker, for this most part I've agreed with you in this argument you've been having, but this time I have to agree with Zerker_Jane here. 45 def would be difficult in some areas. With proper prayer management you'll be fine for the most part, but proper prayer management is a skill that takes time to develop. Without the proper prayer management skill some things in RS are pretty difficult, and it's to deal without proper prayer management or develop proper prayer management with high def and better armour. Messing up on prayer in kiln is less punishing when you have 99 def and barrows or maybe even nex gearm then it is with 45 def and what, rune gear? Also, for both of you, grinding IS difficult. It's a different sort of difficulty then avoiding attacks, using the right attacks, having good APM, but it's still difficult. Part of the difficulty of stuff like Jad and Kiln is that you're investing a few hours of your time into that trip. Kiln itself takes a while, but you also have to spend the time grinding the money to get supplies for kiln. Granted, most of RS does come down to how much time you put into it, and RS IS easier then a lot more competitive games. But just because there are harder games then RS doesn't mean RS is easy. And just because you find it easy doesn't mean everyone else does. If prayer switching was easy, if beating the kiln was easy, there wouldn't be guides, here or on youtube for how to kill Jad or beat the Kiln.

Honestly? Too many bright colours. It's over the top. Partly due to the clan avatar in the background, but imo it's just too much. -
You find yourself in a comic book world. You comment about how your in a comic book world and start talking about tropes and clichés and guessing at the plot. Then Deadpool kills you, because there can only be one fourth wall breaker in the Marvel Universe.

You swing your axe at the tree. You disturb the harpie nest and suddenly find yourself in the midst of a harpie orgy.

Well, first off, I have watched very little of either show. This disclaimer is important. But in general terms, I don't see that much of a difference. You've got a person being all "I'm right you're wrong" and people don't like that, even if the person is 100% correct. Maybe Dr Housing would make a better term, especially since Cowelling sounds like it has to do with bovines. Also, as is evident in the last thread, in that nex guide for non-comp capers, it did devolve into personal attacks where the person wasn't able to admit they are wrong >_< -
