Sorry that wasn't directed at your post but meant more in a general way towards the users of OT as a whole. I can't really talk for other mods or admins but I don't read the religion threads and rarely all the political threads because I know how they always go (arguing on the internet etc etc...). But if I happen to spot a report about a bad post in one of them I would of course act on it. With a lot of tipit's poters being quite young, having a mature debate on those subjects (and these two subjects are always going to attract the most argumentative) isn't really going to happen no matter what rules we put in place. But of course one way to start cleaning up the topics is reporting the uncivilised posts.

He's going to get slated for that one in the papers. Worst I've seen in a long time. I think it was harder not to score. Hope he's not put off by it though.

Shocking result for us today. 0-0 against Norway. We really should had it wrapped up when we had the chances. Don't think I will be able to watch Iwelumo's miss for a while. Really disappointed. :(

But if we keep removing [the most popular] topics from OT the quality of discussion there will surely go down. If it aint broke, don't fix it. There's not too many people complaining over it is there?

Even if it wouldn't suffer a lack of activity(a sports sub-forum) I don't think it's a good idea to split off topic up more than it already is.

It would be great if someone had the time to make such an all round sticky. (Keep it simple though) We have had several in the past here but I'm not going to bother searching for them since they will no doubt be well out of date. They used to be stickied but I don't know why they were removed. Anyway I'm not going to sticky this at the moment(that's not saying it wont be at some point). I'd much rather see a general security/cleaning/etc sticky up there.

As tripsis said we don't like pointless bumping. Bumping an older thread with decent/valuable discussion is generally allowed however.

Isn't this what MTV kind of want. Mass publicity for them on the internet? I can't see any other reason for making such a mediocre award with these artists in it. They knew as soon as Rick Astley appeared on the show the internet crowds would take notice.

I read this in the paper today. It said he was Scottish and from Perth (but said he lived in Oz most of his life) So I don't know which Perth they are meaning. There's a big difference in this answer to me.

If you like Short Circuit, how about watching 'Batteries Not Included' ? What I'd like to see is something like "Cidade de Dues" or similar. True story if possible. English or not, doesn't matter. Documentaries would be good too.
