  1. Hehe, yeah, that's what I thought too. For what it's worth, I do like option B best. And since they've apparently already made all the models (seeing as they're in the image), voting for the old model to save them work clearly won't do much good :P
  2. You know you want that Value Added Package. If you are interested in serious video/picture editing, you'll want a strong CPU and a sufficient amount of RAM. Other things are of lesser importance, although if you're into gaming you'll find that buying even a low end NVidia or Ati card is a significant improvement over the onboard graphics accelerator. The laptop I'm using right now, an IBM ThinkPad, is 6.5 years old. It broke down within the first month of actual usage due to a manufacturing error that plagued many first-year students; other than that I've had no problems with it whatsoever. As it is now, the monitor is showing slight signs of deterioration (which is due to me not being particularly careful with how I carry it around), everything else is still in tip-top shape. So there are laptops that last :P
  3. Eh, that Asteroid Belt thing runs at 1 FPS both on my home PC and my laptop, using Chrome (6.0.472). Considering that my home PC is significantly faster, something seems iffy. I actually upgraded to Chrome on this laptop because some particulary script-heavy features of Wowhead.com were slow as heck on my laptop using IE8, with seconds worth of delay after each click. It performed a lot better in Chrome, and after a while I kinda got used to Chrome's features and switched to it on my home PC as well. Seeing as IE9 doesn't seem to offer any noteworthy features of Chrome (I have little interest in using my browser to render an asteroid belt using Javascript...), I'll stick with it for the time being. I just hope that IE9's rendering won't introduce any new compatibility headaches.
  4. I'm really fond of Avast. It can be configured to shut up and not bother me unless it really needs to. It's not causing any memory issues on this laptop with a whopping .75 GB of memory, so I don't see why that'd be an issue, unless you're one of those OCD types who just can't stand memory being wasted :P I used AVG prior to this, but after a major version upgrade it started having some random technical issues where it'd just explode and no longer function, requiring a reinstall. And with the old version no longer getting definitions updates, that wasn't really going anywhere... I haven't used MS Security Essentials yet, but if it's anything like the old MS Anti-spyware of old it's probably worth checking out. I'll probably check it out after Avast goes through the update-that-shouldn't-have-been :P
  5. Not really, they're just fish. It's perfectly normal not to be as attached to them and to not value them as much as you would with creatures that have more in common with humans. As an alternative, can't you give them away to somebody who would like to have some pet fish? Then again, the fish'd probably stress out and die  Confessions? Eh, I too pee in the shower. I think it's hardly a confession though. Most men do. Some just lie about it :P
  6. Thank you for your submission. There are currently a number of issues with Recipe for Disaster prequests, this is being looked into and should be fixed soon.
  7. Hello Oul_Leoric, welcome to the forums, and thank you for your submission! There is indeed a serious lack of cupboards upstairs. I have adjusted the quest guide to reflect this; you have been credited of course :)
  8. Thank you for your submission :) I hate it how you can accidentally drink an entire BUCKET of milk. In one gulp. I've added a small warning to the relevant section.
  9. Thank you for your submission :) I've added a note on the possibility of taking damage when attempting to fix the railings.
  10. It's not been confirmed yet, but this topic has been listed in the quest submission index so there's no need to bump it :)
  11. Thank you for your submission :) Apparently, pickpocketing the dummy but not doing a good enough job still gives XP, so I figure Jagex intended you to level on the dummy if your skill level wasn't high enough. If something similar occurs in any other quest, such a skill level is listed as a requirement (even if you can start or even partially complete the quest without said skill level), so I don't get why this isn't done here. I'll go ahead and list it as a requirement, the change should be visible shortly.
  12. Yeah, I admit I didn't really think that one through. Was mostly thinking of wanting to assist friends but not being able to because of the assist limit, but removing it would probably increase the amount of people bothering higher level players to assist them with X or Y because it 'doesn't cost them anything'...
  13. I think it's a pretty lame way of using the crown, to be honest, but it doesn't really annoy me. And in rare cases it can be funny :) I'm definitely in favour of this. But like another user said, this would open up new possibilities for scams. Given how protective Jagex is of their playerbase I just can't see it happening.
  14. A whole bunch of tweaks basically seem to boil down to "remove right-click options I can't use anyway". This goes for other people's summons and pets, attacking teammates in Castle Wars, Clan Wars and whatnot. I realise it's probably not just a simple tweak, but this has been a major pain in the ass since Castle Wars came out so I'd like to see them get around to fixing it sometime. I also second having a clearer interface for 'buffs' like antifire potions and such, as well as permanent display of special attack energy. I suppose it might be hard to fit all this in the game window for 'fixed' size, but at least having some UI options for this for greater screen sizes would be ace. Familiars covering players and enemies is also just plain weird, especially if it's someone else's familiar. Why display a familiar you can't even do anything with over players you can interact with, or even monsters that are punching you in the face? :S A charm pouch sounds like a great idea. Allowing assistance past the XP limit (for no XP gain) also sounds like something everybody would love.
  15. Thank you for your submission. I've added this information to the item :)
  16. Yeah, the purple names thing is a bit confusing at times. Sometimes it's early in the morning and I'm still half asleep and all like whoa new crewbie but then it's just the forum playing tricks on me :(
  17. Thank you for your submission, I have fixed the description. The changes should be visible shortly.
  18. Hello W22_WC_Josh, welcome to the forums and thank you for your submission :) Many of Uri's emote clues recently had their item requirements changed. This seems to be one such case. I have updated the required items for this clue and the change should be visible on the website shortly. I have also added you to the credits page.
  19. You're right, some subquests do seem to be simply missing their pre-quest, and it doesn't seem to be restricted to just those two subquests; subquest 7 and the final battle also have some prereqs according to the quest guide. I'll see if I can get a techy to patch it up.
  20. I see one issue in which you can supposedly start some subquests even if you haven't completed Cook's Assistant. Other than that they seem to work fine - for example subquest six requires completion of Plague City and it shows red if you haven't done that quest. What browser are you using?
  21. The values look correct to me. Mind that this is about the maximum hit of the monsters, not the player.
  22. Thank you for your submission :) I did indeed count nine spots I needed to repair in this room. Five of these were in the second half of the room, and four in the first half, not the other way around. For self reference, the first half contained two spots that could be repaired with planks and two that required pillars. The second half need planks on only one occasion, and required pillars for the other four spots. I have updated the quest guide; you have been credited.
  23. Thank you for your submission :) With quests, the problem frequently is that most crewbies have already completed a quest and as such cannot verify any submission we receive. However I had not yet completed this quest, and I have verified that logging out will indeed place you outside of the tunnels, right next to TzHaar-Ket-Grol. Any planks and pillars you have already placed in the tunnels will still be there. I can see this being useful if you get yourself stuck and do not wish to push over any pillars. I have adjusted the quest guide. You have been credited :)
