  1. with the current price of onyx, a single tokkul is worth 15 gp. So if you bought this item from the store, you would be wasting 1,125,000 gp on it.
  2. the funny thing is, maple logs were worth 100 gp each a few months ago, then they went down to 70 each and they stayed at that price even after people found out about the karamja gloves trick. They have the same uses they always had. Burn them for firemaking exp, or fletch them for exp but not for money. edit: the price of maples is still 75-80, people use them to power train firemaking.
  3. killing cave slimes with range is a very good way indeed, but there IS a better way. The ship from lunar diplomacy has tar barrels that give a random amount of swamp tar before becomming empty. They have a fairly fast respawn time as well. The best spot is on the floor just below deck, there are 3 barrels close together. Supposedly it's possible to get 1000 tars per hour here.
  4. Why bump a thread that hasn't had posts for longer than a year? It just seems more relevant than ever  . Sorry for the late bumpage.
  5. My God--- how have times changed this quickly? Jagex customer support went from making a "few mistakes" to basically flipping a coin to ban people.
  6. I might just siggy that
  7. With the new level requirements for pest control, high level pc players (products  ) don't need to hide from low levels anymore. This means that there can finally be a single pc world now! This also means that you will no longer need a clan to succeed in pest control. I rarely go to pest control, but I just wanted to point this out anyway :P
  8. Maybe you should give the trawler a try once you can catch manta rays. I read that the trawler is actually much faster exp than shark fishing and also much better cash. World 116 is the unofficial trawler world last I checked.
  9. 2+ will suffice. I have 3 rune defenders and nothing below it.
  10. It's not really worth it to bring so much armor for each combat type. The melee brothers have such low mage def that you will almost ALWAYS hit them as long as you keep your mage bonus at (-15) or higher. If you use melee armor while maging, you don't need to pray against verac, guthan, or torag. Just bring some black d hide for killing ahrim with range. Alternatively, you can use verac's full set on all brothers (range armor still recommended for ahrim.)
  11. at your level you probably don't burn a lobby either way. So light one of those logs that spawn on the ground right next to lumby bank. It's the fastest F2p way to cook.
  12. well there's no perfect moneymaker. It's either slow and easy, or fast and hard/annoying. This is why double nat crafting is the best money maker in the game. \
  13. nope but a while back there was a drop log for a level 95 kq slayer on the official forums. He was a purist- he soloed the kq 200+ times without veracs. That's pretty impressive imo. This was before the crossbow update as well.
  14. level 1 gloves actually!
  15. Very impressive , but veracs still seems easier to me. I may try this one day. GL getting that chain one day....
  16. if you use the lunar spell super glass make, you get around 14-20 molten glass for every 13 soda ash/sand pairs used (1 full inventory). It also works with plain seaweed instead of soda ash, so it's much faster than the old method.
  17. why is that? the most valuble thing that most pkers take is a whip, and that protects over everything except fury, crystal bow, dark bow, and df shield, and mostly no one takes those to wild anyway. let's not forget mystic robes, dragon battleaxes, etc... mystic robes don't protect over whips anymore. That scam ended over a year ago. Even before I joined p2p.
  18. Yeah, I just wish i knew it back when I did the quest.
  19. I just realized, if we could choose the items to keep, then all pieces of guthan, dharock, and verac armor would cost the same. For example, everyone would protect the guthan helm and spear, and they would decrease in price while they lose the legs/tops and they increase in price. Also, people would be more likely to risk rare items in the wild, so if you smite well enough, you can pk a ranger set or even a santa.

  21. In the bts this month, Jagex clearly said that we would be able to clarify the items kept upon death. Apparently most players (not me 8-) ) assumed that we would be able to CHOOSE the items we keep. I personally think it was a brilliant update. Now I know which untradeable items to risk in dangerous situations. Also, quest capes would alch for 27k if we could alch them. I was just wondering, what would happen if we could actually CHOOSE the items we kept upon death. Would this destroy runescape? Would everyone stop pking? Would this take the danger out of everything? or would the effects actually be good for us?
  22. Well I don't really need a moneymaking method since I decided to collect christmas crackers when they were dropped. *cough*sarcasm*cough*
  23. fire giants. Also, guthans is good to bring to barrows (as long as you don't die) as it lets you use less food and stay for more runs.
  24. If everyone just made me king of runescape, there would be no more of these problems. All noobs would be executed, and scammers would give me all their money. Ah well, a man can dream.... =P~
