I got all 4 pieces in 1 afternoon. I did it in under 50 runs, and the top was my first drop. I ended up with like 4 boots and 2 hats before I got the legs.

Yeah it will definitely be tough. At this point, i'm guessing the rate is about 1 in over 10k, since no one here has gotten one yet.

My hope is that I can add the total number of dragons that everyone has slain together and divide by the total number of visages that everyone has gotten. That way, even people who haven't gotten one can help. that will make the percentage go off by alot but u should do 2 then 1 like that and 1 with people who have gotton the drops If I only include the people who got the drops, it will be way off. Chances are, most people who got the drops only killed under 1000 dragons. That would make the chance of a drop 1 in 1000. But since most people kill that many without a drop, the chances are a lot lower than that. If you flip a coin 2000 times, they could all land on heads. They still have a 50% chance of landing on tails. Most likely, you will get NEARLY 1000 heads and 1000 tails. The drop rate of rare items in runescape works the same way. You could get 2 draconic visages in a row, but it's unlikely.

I killed around 150 black dragons with a wealth. No visage drops here =(

Ok, I'm curious to see if we can find the approximate drop rate of the Draconic visage. Here's how you can help! -Post how many dragons you have killed to your best knowledge -what type of dragon have you been slaying? (black/KBD/Iron/Steel/wyvern) -do you wear a wealth (not sure if I will include this or not) -how many visage drops have you had, if any? My mistake, there are two teleports to Lunar Island bank (just like the two spells that go to Lumbridge). However, it requries 2 laws and an astral rune. Ring of duelings would be cheaper in the long run in place of using Moonclan teleport then Waterbirth Teleport, then Moonclan teleport again. However, its a good way to use up your astral runes, and it's decent mage exp. If you use a mud staff, you only need astral and law runes for both teleport spells. Also, make sure you use the telegroup spells since they cost the same and give more exp. In terms of snapes per hour, i'm not sure, but its faster if you walk to the group of snapes north of the boat. They're closer together and easy to collect.

if you want to sell in bulk use the trader ships, like the one in catherby.

The emote clues can get annoying for anyone, especially a new member. Snakeskin boots are usually easy to buy on world 18 edgeville, but if you want access to snakes that drop skins, all methods require at least 2 quests. You should make quests a top priority if you want to make full use out of membership and have access to most of the game. Trust me, I got a quest cape 8 months after joining members.

Except for the difficulty in dropping your hp. I think rock crabs may actually be a decent idea, because they almost never hit. Rock crabs only have 50 hp. If you can hit over 50 with dh, that defeats the purpose. I don't recommend using dh to train, since even in the best circumstances it's only slightly better strength exp than a d scim. I use dh for killing the giant mole and also for pvp.

Its amazing that after all this time, the spot is still mostly unknown. I went to the dark beasts yesterday just to see if people were still there (only 1 person), and I found someone wearing a mining cape. He was killing the dark beasts to the east side. I asked him if he was mining the rune ore, and he didn't know it existed :lol: . So I showed it to him. It was unmined as usual. :thumbsup:

ok fine, I might be wrong. Are rune drops still common for other people?

The trolls in the cave were nerfed a week after the quest was released so they only drop bones now. I fight the ones in multicombat just north of jatizso. There are guards there helping you, and you get the drop as long as you damage them at all. I use melee prayer the whole time and wear the fremmenik shield (lowers ranged max damage to 2). I also bring a few pieces of food for the rangers cause they hit often for 1 or 2.

I killed a few hundred of them. That's good enough data for me, considering I usually get a rune item every 20 or so kills. Trust me, not getting a rune item there is rare. Plus I got a lot of big bone and nothing drops which rarely happened before.

Can anyone else confirm this? I used to go to the ice trolls at jatizso and get about 3 rune kiteshields, lots of other rune items, and the occasional granite shield. I killed ice trolls for several hours today, and didn't get a single rune item, or granite shield!!! Why would Jagex nerf my favorite training spot?

That's where I went when I started slayer. Then I realized that I could kill cave crawlers about 3 times faster in the slayer dungeon, using fairy ring code AJR to bank, because there are a lot more cave crawlers there, close together.

dont u need to have done legends quest before u can get left half sheild?? No you need legends quest to get right half and I think you also need to do it to wear a dragon square shield.

d hally, but its only good for fighting monsters. The spec is about 2x stronger than dds, with same effect.

the only penance items worth getting besides for looks are torso, and gloves (reduces weight.)

every item that you will ever need to finish clue scrolls of all levels, if you plan on completing your clues. All teleportation jewelry, runes, and quest items. Range items for certain tasks if you prefer to range.

no one uses the chinchompa spot on the far south west corner of the hunting area. Its better than competing for the popular spots.

the queen doesnt hit you any more often alone than with a team, so its probably no more dangerous. but yeah, it will take you a few trips to kill her, and a big waste of supplies. I don't recommend it personally.

any monster that drops gems, also drops a d left shield. It is probably the rarest drop in the game, just forget about your stats, even rock crabs drop them once in a few years!
