  1. You couldn't be more wrong. Getting emotionally affected for a game is the same as getting emotionally affected for a book, animal .. heck even real life person. There is no difference.
  2. You need to stay hydrated to survive, you don't need a rune platebody to survive! I was talking about the secondary needs, not the primal =/
  3. Am I the only one having hard time to distinguish "virtual goods" from "real life goods" o.O They are both goods and I don't see the difference between a rune platebody and a coca-cola can ... they are both there to make you happy (kind'a).
  4. What horrific line of thought brought to arrive at this conclusion? Most of not all keyloggers are installed after you try a bot or from sites you shouldn't be going into anyways.
  5. Yeah I imagine it. - Fr33 st0ff pl0x !!!1!! - I'm at green dragons, wildy, come and I'll give you. Modern luring - make them come to you
  6. The funny part is .. without anything useful for the skillers in the wildy, they wont go in there and the pkers wont have anyone to prey on (again we are excluding the honor pkers .. they are a different type of people =/) There will still be things like Clues and Wildy Agility course and probably a couple of other things. To be honest, since they were there beforehand. Is the wildy agility course really worth it* ? And they said they MIGHT relocate the clues as well (tho .. it's highly doubtful and I might be wrong about it ... my memory isn't the best) *Except for an occasional brawling gloves ...
  7. The funny part is .. without anything useful for the skillers in the wildy, they wont go in there and the pkers wont have anyone to prey on (again we are excluding the honor pkers .. they are a different type of people =/)
  8. Not to mention that a part of those 835k votes aren't legitimate as well.
  9. Again, I agree that some things can be subjective. However, when Zaros' army primarily consists of creatures that i.e. must eat people to survive (vampires), then it becomes difficult to argue that it's simply a conflict of geography. One potentially plausible way to reconcile these differing viewpoints would be if Zaros were the Runescape god of monsters. Then it would make sense that he would support those creatures who eat humans, while others like Saradomin oppose them. Don't tell me that you are a vegetarian because if you aren't .. you are like those vampires. There is nothing evil .. or even wrong to eat to survive. Even the towns with the ... poor humans in them aren't evil nor wrong. They are just a way for the Vyrewatches to be sure that they are going to survive (in other words to be sure that they will have enough food) ) It would be evil if they were doing it for fun. (You know ... like the humans when they are hunting for the sport and no other benefit). Anyways you CAN'T judge a commander/general/someone by his minions.
  10. Being evil is subjective* /thread ? *Any living being does w/e it feels right FOR ITSELF. If you somehow manage to be on the "winning" side (the side that benefits) you will view that being as good and vice versa. Even gods have those needs. They do what is best for them (in the case of Zammy - [cabbage] up Zaros and steel his powers) if you benefit from it you will view the deity as a good one. In other words the current population of runescape are the followers of the gods that were enemies of Zaros thus they see him as an evil deity.
  11. If people call Kree Arra pink ballerina it doesn't mean that it's a .. you know .. pink ballerina.
  12. Biggest fail ever  Nex ?
  13. Brand new level 80 ’life point-boosting’ armour for rangers, mages and warriors Well the no amunition bow could be ... no runes staff for example ? (I think he meant exclusive magic equipment ... because the boss will drop armor for all the 3 types of combat, but only a ranged weapon)
  14. I'd prefer a dragon ... dum dum duuum ... handcannon.
  15. yup 16533 (16586 with the other calculator but it's still ~16.5k) ... but of course by runescape standarts 16533 > 700000 so they need to get it up to ... um ... help me here  Actually, i don't think it works that way. It would be 16.5k if they had randomly chosen players from their 5 mill population and have that 16.5k and only them vote. Then, it would be statistically significant. Otherwise, there is a bias in which the players who vote are only the ones who know about the referendum (even though you may argue that every player knows about it by now). Anyways, my opinion is still that the first poll was absolutely flawed, and the ones who abused it unfairly by putting the names of players they knew didn't vote deserve what they are getting. Still i think it might reach the 1M votes... Yes they need to be randomly chosen but it depends on the definition of random you're using*. They aren't limiting the accounts to "only 18-20 years old can vote". The only limitation is the "you need to play to know it"**. So the current vote represents the active players + the old pk player base but it can't represent all the players that have played the game (regardless of the time). But I think we are looking for the people interested in the game anyways. * I am sure that there are players from all ages, countries, that love all the types of activities and etc that voted. **I am sure that all the PKers from pre-2007 are already informed about the vote.
  16. Um ... how to say it ... in the you didn't had 2 options. 16k people voting with only 1 options is diffferent than 16k people voting with more than 1 option. ... gah can someone with better english explain it to him ... ATM You have X% people voting for 1 of 2 or more options, then you had ... just a number of people saying yes. In other words when you had the petition the only thing you could say is "X people want Y back", when you add the no option you can say "The ratio of people wanting and not wanting the update is X:Y".
  17. yup 16533 (16586 with the other calculator but it's still ~16.5k) ... but of course by runescape standarts 16533 > 700000 so they need to get it up to ... um ... help me here
  18. Even if no one there understands statistics 101 .. they can always use google .. you know .. "sample size calculator" .. google works wonders :D
  19. I assume ... something stops them from doing it ... but I can't think of anything.
  20. Yup its pkers and the people who can't make them yet
  21. You can pk even with a bronze dagger, winning is another thing. And in every reality the winner is the one with the most money, skill and luck (in different ratios, but money is always the most important factor)
  22. When you have such a large number of votes it's bound to have a trend ... it's been 88 9 3 for example which is +-2%.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if they started working on it a few days before posting the first poll- they more or less knew the idea would be a huge hit among players, particularly older ones. Doubt they can manage to get all the details set before new years but 15th of january seems like a nice date. I still think it would take at least a week or two after the poll closes and if it is yes. They have to move and change a lot of things in the wild. And decide what to do with each stat boosting item. I think they are already done with all the updates regarding wildy. They wouldn't make a petition/vote if they weren't ready to implement it right away. It would just piss of a lot of people if they have to wait more than a week.
  24. If all you care about is fair gameplay, play single player games. Every single MMO is full of bots, cheats, hacks RWT of some description. The Internet isn't Utopia. /thread Their original reason for the restricted trade RWT updates were all [cabbage] anyway. Like runescape is the only MMO that has a RWT community using stolen credit cards. The reason they are bringing back free trade is the failed GE mechanic with manipulator clans. Restricted trade was a failed experiment. I cant wait to log in and dump 100m on my IRL noob friend. Cash is usless to me i have everything banked for what buyables i have left. I just logged in a voted on the main site... it was 90% for bring back free trade. And the old wild was what made runesacape hardcore... there arnt very many MMOs where you can loot the otherguys items once you murder his noob ass. This This +1 Jump on the bandwagon ?
