  1. I'd argue against the clan support - team capes that are P2P only don't help much with the majority of clan wars being F2P. Same issue with POH's. They're improvements, but I wouldn't call them outright clan support. I wonder if summoning might be the next skill - how many more things can we do in a game?
  2. I've been training in that exact room for a few months now, and I'll vouch for the great XP. And when you're a member, Flesh Crawlers drop 42 fire runes very often. In about a month of training I've gathered about 14k fire runes and a ton of natures as well. And good guide - 9/10. : D
  3. Banned for mixing bright green with black in sig. It just clashes. : P
  4. If it's only this side of RS2... I remember March 29, when it was first released. There were never so many people so confused at the same time as that day. I remember when there was no Pest Control and no Castle Wars. I also remember before Ancient Majiks ruled P2P.
  5. I remember this being discussed in late 2003 - members was a year and a half old and updates seemed to be slowing down. But a few months later they finally pulled the long-awaited RS2 out of the bag. :P I think that pretty soon we'll see expansion OUTWARD. The western mountains and the traditional confines of RuneScape will be blown away in the next few years. I also think they might start to focus more on expanding their player base (like the German translation). They might also FINALLY give some clan support and make PKing the jewel of the game as it once was. Who knows - they player numbers on at a single time seems to have peaked, but I still think RuneScape has yet to peak. And if they started to actually use player suggestions (like the famous better bank idea), they'd become more popular. Especially since the protests of the WorldSwitcher ban, they need some popularity points...
  6. The DWARF king Statue of Keldagrim would definitely be a wonder. And once we have something that large as a wonder, we should probably eliminate the smaller statues around Asgarnia. Maybe the giant gnome heads by Port Sarim? The Pyramids in the South and the White Knight's Castle also come to mind.
  7. 10/10 After last week's event, I don't think there's a Tip.iter that doesn't know you.
  8. I had one after some idiot Pmod muted me, but it was repealed a few days later.
  9. Then word on the 'street' would be wrong. 8-) Varrock team went in and saved him. We attacked a lot of TET people and killed many - I even got a rune scimmy. \
  10. The event is over, guys. Varrock team managed to get through and hunt down a TET force protecting Honest1. He escaped and TET went to Port Sarim jail. There we lit fires and bombed cabbages. : P But apparently ZidaneCT was behind it all, and managed to escape... :?
  11. ssssh! It's been made so obvious that it's impossible to find. Reverse psychology and all, but not... :-s :anxious: Anyway - :-$
  12. You know, we've all agreed that TET must die. :P But we really need to figure out one organized plan to take these chumps down. They can't hold the TIF community ransom like this! United we will make them pay. Part of the problem is the 3 different threads in 3 different forums thing. Half of the people posting in the other two threads seem to have no idea what's actually going on. #-o Ah well. Anyway, let's use the thread hidden from TET to plan.
  13. Smooth answer... very smooth. You have a future in politics. But us non-TET people have a plan - one that involves giant wooden badgers. So beware.
  14. I'm guessing 99 - but maybe they would be kind enough to move it to a F2P world. :)
  15. I'd have to disagree with several points... Clans have been around since even before Runescape - Andrew's game Cyberwars was where the Sabres and later THE originated. And the concept of clans in a game is hardly new. And as soon as there were multiple worlds, some worlds became centers for trading. I know that by the fall of '01 there were definetely trading worlds. Newbs and scams have always been around. To be honest I'm not sure what newer people think they missed in this area. The contingent of noobs has grown a lot and that has had some affects. But from day one there were a few people running around asking for free items and tricking people... But people are right - there's something Runescape and RSC used to have that's just not there anymore. It's difficult to describe and hard to pin down, but it really ends up being the sense of community. Runescape went from feeling like a close village where everyone knew everyone else to the downtown of a city. :? It was a slow change and it happened over a long period of time. The question is really why is the community in such bad shape and what we can do about it. I suggest we just start with something simple. The next time you're fishing, woodcutting or even training - greet someone. Start a conversation. If you ask for stats and they're given to you, don't say "choob" and block them. Who knows - if people just start being friendly to each other again, things might start to look up. Runescape is not in the ruins some people think it is - the Second Silver Age hasn't ended yet.
  16. I could not agree more with this brilliant piece of writing. Something many people don't understand is that yes, Runescape is a game, and yet it's not just a game. When you introduce the human element to anything, it becomes more. Those pixels are real people with real feelings, and those pixels often represent a lot of time, effort and fun. And something the editor doesn't mention - those pixels sometimes have real friends behind them. Runescape isn't just a game, it's a real community with real people. And if people just stopped to think about that more, maybe we'd hear less "noob"s and more "hey"s.
  17. Are you sure you weren't mixing it up from when we had the Santa Scape song back to the Scape Main? I'm pretty sure he is. I logged out and logged into high detail to hear the new song, and it's the same one they've used since they got rid of "Scape Original". Back to low detail I go...
  18. Good post Pix, and I agree completely. For some reason people see "dishonour" in attacking people in the wilderness. The wilderness and all its parts were created so that people could be killed within its confines. People who go into it go in knowing it is a place made for fighting and risk. Thus, there's nothing unfair or "dishonourable" about killing someone who chooses not to prepare for battle. This argument about killing RCers and skillers is basically a debate about the credentials of Anti-RPKing (Anti-Random Player Killing for those who don't know). The whole debate breaks down to one simple question, "Is it OK for someone to attack someone that doesn't want to fight in the Wilderness?" My answer is a simple yes. As explained when one enters the wilderness they know what they're getting into. Just because they don't WANT to be attacked and don't plan for it doesn't make them any different from every other person there. The wilderness was made for fighting, and so adds that element of risk to skilling and rcing. I hope I wasn't overly repetitive.
  19. I've only made two, both of which I still use. Kop was my original main from Feb. 2001, and Kewl Sabre I made later that summer. I never used him much but then started using him in late 2006. He's since become my main. I never really liked making multiple accounts - I like spending time in on one character.
  20. All I have to say is... Have any of you seen Dr. Strangelove? 8-)
  21. What u have just mentioned is my idya of wildy-heaven, that would be awsome, obiusly fight will take like half an hour, but they would be much more exiting. BTW: The multi attck are ruined the wilderness. I agree completely. I wish they would bring back the RSC combat system in the wilderness... Wars have degraded into piling/spamming fests instead of harsh one-on-one battles with range and mage support. Now those were actually fun.
  22. I know what you mean. Up here in the northeast it's in the mid 60's! :? Usually by now we've gotten at least two major snow storms. This year we got less than an inch that melted later that day. As I'm typing I'm wearing short sleeves! Curse you, El Nỉ̮̱̉o!
  23. The unique thing about Americans, is that unless you are native, in which case you'd probably be quite proud of that and stated it for all to hear, you are from somewhere else. Every (recent) American National is an immrigrant or decended from one/two/many. Which is why I find the right-wing anti Immigration polices hysterical. "Get rid of all immigrants!" Okay! 98% of American population deported! "Native Americans" originated from russia, they followed herds over the bering straight when it was still an ice bridge, and slowly migrated down until they got to the Americas. According to scientists NOONE originated from North America. If you trace it all back far enough, we all come from Sub-Saharan Africa. But Native Americans as we know them are as close as it comes to truly "native" Americans. I'm American as well, but I'm really English, Welsh, Scottish, Danish, German, Hungarian, Native American, and... according to Ancestry.com I'm many, many generations removed from Charlemagne. \ I'm not sure if they're right, but the man did have about 30+ kids. Who all had many children themselves, so who knows. :P
  24. I found that game a few months back. I love it - especially the napalm. : P I also play Sherwood. It's very early-Runescape esc, which is why I like it. Nothing but fighting, training and killing. The clans in it are also still pretty smallish and just forming. I love Beta games
  25. I'm a Sabre from Feb. 2001 who started because his bro played Cyberwars. There aren't a whole lot of people who even remember what Cyberwars was, so I'd go with yes.
