  1. Yea, that's a good point. Too many noobs would run around screaming, and there would be no honour. Without the 3-round-before-running system of RSC, Pking in Runescape is dead anyway. And that was the only reason I loved the game... That's probably why I haven't played in two months and am hunting for a new MMORPG, come to thing of it.
  2. Ah, the eternal problem with government and the confines of the two-party system... (Well, in the U.S. at least). I know a lot about politics - enough to terribly depress me, sadly, and also know enough about conservatives and liberals to know that I'm an independent. Conservative and Liberal, or at least how they should be defined, no longer seem to fit the current Democratic or Republican parties anymore. No party that goes that far overbuget (*coughrepublicanscough*) can possibly be called conservative. No party that wants quite so many regulations (not all of them bad, but still defies the definition) can possibly be called Liberal. But yea, I recognize the ideaologies. Nowadays you really have to apply these terms individually to Economic and Social policies.
  3. No, no it wasn't chaotic. There was honour in the game back then - when you fought you fought for a reason. And less than half the people (roughly) chose to be PKers. The non-pking button was quite popular...
  4. Then they would call it 2001, and the game would be fun again... But in 2001 there was a pker/non-pker option. True wilderness everywhere would be even better. :D
  5. Half the people on this thread are thinking about the RS movie the wrong way... If any MMORPG were to make a movie, it would probably be a LOTR-type thing. They would take out any and all references to internet culture or anything, otherwise it would just get laughed out of hollywood. :D And they'd probably just make up a plot that has nothing to do with a game, like some evil wizard is threatening Runescape, and the armies of Zamorak are attacking Asgarnia and Misthalin. Then you could have massive battle sequences. If it did have massive battle sequences... I might have to go. Just to see what it would be like. I'm a sucker for action sequences. :P
  6. Those are some pretty good names. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's an Excessive in RS. I think it's an RSB clan though.
  7. I think that the RS economy has plenty of cash in it as it is... I don't think interest is really needed. With so many ways to make money and with the popularity of High-alching, it would just drive up inflation even further. Although I personally would love to get a loan from the Bank of Varrock. :)
  8. Hey, and welcome to Tip.it :) Just pay weekly homage to Bubsa, and you'll do fine here (human sacrifices are good).
  9. Well, I'd join in the flaming, but there's not much more to say but... "Aye." Normally I don't really flame, but this guy has earned it. His ego is large enough to be its own planet. Dude, I hope you realized just how much you blew this. If you hadn't waltzed in here proclaiming your greatness, then attacking one of the finest guide-writers and people Tip.it has ever known, you might have actually been complimented on something. Instead, your dispicable personality completely blotted out anything you might have accomplished in your guides. I hope that you don't do this in real life, or you will get absolutely nowhere. I'd feel guilty about bashing you, but you're so enormously full of yourself I know you won't take any of this to heart.
  10. ^^^What people up there have said. The guy's probably just used to putting it in other forums or on the official forums. That, or he's an egotistical maniac who needs to see his own name all over the place.
  11. Ironically, the "homosexuals shouldn't exist" is around even today in the United States...
  12. Here you go Toucḫ̩̉̉ But I thought WoW had a higher montly fee than $5 a month.
  13. I'm not exactly positive what a Newcomer's map is, so you've one-upped me. I feel like I just got out of a time capsule from three years ago...

I'm glad to hear good reviews about this from people I trust... Until now, the only opinion on it I had heard was this dude. http://www.askaninja.com/ Funny, but not positive review. Granted he's a ninja, and everyone knows that ninjas and pirates always hate each other.

We have a winner. But this isn't a good example of something to tell girls when they talk to you, unless you find slapmarks stylish.
  16. How did a thread about the U.N. and N. Korea launch a discussion of Iraq? :? Oh yea, it's the Tip.it Off-Topic forum. I almost forgot that all threads eventually hit this topic... #-o Also... You just called Islam a "moronic" religion. Dude, it's just like all the other religions out there. Are there extremes to this religion? Yes. However MOST muslims are not suicide-bombing blockheads. Sadly there are an ever increasing number of disillusioned individuals who feel the need to blow themselves up in the corrupted name of the Khoran. These people are the exception, not the rule. Islam has as solid a base as any other relgion. Don't bash it.
  17. Congratz, and good luck getting 99 magic, ranged and def. Getting 99 anything is a challenge, and magic can get very hard to train as you rise in levels. And good luck on prayer too... it's such a pain in the neck to raise. I respect anyone over 50. :P
  18. ^Ignore button FTW. The ignore button is like Oxyclean - it does it all.
  19. I agree that what Zidane did was pretty bad, but I still want to know what that Italian said to him. Not that it excuses totalling the guy with your head, as awesome as it was...
  20. It's an interesting idea, and it would be nice to avoid the legions of immature players in RS. But I'm not sure that there's an easy way this could be done. Until some brilliant way is suggested, I reccomend making some kind of gathering place, or an official world, or an organization. There are a couple older-player themed clans out there with the same kind of purpose as this. Still, good idea. :)
  21. When i started, the world was so small it was pretty easy to get around. Just a few pieces of Misthalin... And it was pretty easy to get to learn new areas as they added them. My noob days were very convenient that way. :)
  22. Just read about it on Wikipedia, and sounds pretty cool... (Really lazy people click here) I've never been to a rodeo myself. In our town, the closest thing we get to that is a carnival that comes every fourth of July that has only a few rides (and lots of clowns). Everything is just so much better in Canada.
  23. You can tell us... no matter what it is, I promise that at least I won't laugh and/or call you a noob. :P

Smooth, witty comebacks are always good. When in doubt, remember your friendly neighborhood spiderman. He comes up with some pretty good lines. :P Girls do that randomly. Who knows what they think of you - girls just like to yell random things to make their friends laugh. Don't take it personally. I'm sure that even as we type, all of them are secretly dreaming of your hotness. :)
  25. That yeti needs to hit the gymn...
