  1. Dude... did you actually just try to suggest that Saddam Hussein wasn't evil? Please post saying that was as joke.
  2. http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/poli ... 10626.html This recent poll shows that Stem Cell research does, in fact, have wide public support. And please, no one call the legitimacy of an ABC poll into question. New York Times - maybe. But not ABC. I confess to not having read every single post in this thread, but it seems like somehow a debate got started about miscarriage vs. abortion? I'm not really sure how either of those relate directly to stem cell research, as none of the stem cells come from abortions or miscarriages. All eggs and spem are harvested separately, and conception happens in a labratory. And I think I heard someone bring up that stem cells are NOT thrown away annually? They are. It isn't an on-demand production basis, although that could be a target of debate.
  3. Sounds like fun... I'll be there. : D For those who don't know, it's in about 20 minutes from this post. And also at this time; http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... sec=0&p1=0 You can copy-paste that into the first post too.
  4. Winston Churchill was an awesome man, as a leader and as a total pwner of everyone around him. :D
  5. Hitler said that by killing all the Jews, Germany would be saving a generation of Germans. I'd just like to point out that Hitler was probably mentally insane, and that his killing of Jews is extremely different from using labrartory-created fetuses to ACTUALLY save people's lives. I also understand that you probably know this, and you do have a vague point. I support stem cell research, because I have weighed the cost and the benefit and I think it's worth it. Most of these frozen fetuses are destroyed anyway - why destroy them when they can be used to save other human lives?
  6. I support as well. Runescape has plenty of clicking already. And it's not like it's make the game any easier; just more convenient.
  7. I'm not so sure... Don't get me wrong, being betrayed (especially in level 40 wilderness) can be a pain. I hate it as much as the next man. But it's also part of the package - one of the best things about RS PvP is that anything can happen. A lot of other games have done things like this to regulate it, and it's not as fun. Interesting idea, but I don't want to tame the wilderness.
  8. Ah, good old "OMG I N33D AN 4X3!" noobs. After making about 10k selling spades last Easter, as soon as I found out that axes were needed I got a ton of bronze ones. Made another 20k pretty easily. \
  9. I agree... I think the banks in the Mining and fishing guilds are as conveniently located as Jagex wants them to be. Tons of skills have already been made much easier in RS2 (Cooking, Woodcutting, Crafting, and Fishing to name a few). Runescape needs to maintain at least some level of challenge.
  10. This is a brilliant suggested, and if TB@JT listen to any suggestion on this forum this would be the frontrunner for most useful. With crowded marketplaces trading is difficult and negotiating is impossible. At times Jagex doesn't really seem to understand that MMOG = MASSIVE multiplayer online game.
  11. I logged on for the first time and had my brother guide me around. He was a mage, I was an adventurer (I felt like it was the coolest class option). I was also a pker... so, I wandered slightly north of Lumbridge and got pked in about 5 minutes. Ironically it seems like the pre-wilderness days were when you needed a tutorial most...
  12. I'm still used to f2p RSC, so I keep every sound off. The music just creeps me out... Anyway, I have an upgraded version. I call it my iPod, and I love it dearly.
  13. ^What most of the thread has said. As a current F2Per prayer is what I use most often. Especially with 30+ prayer, it's very helpful.
  14. Allowing SMS payments seems like a pretty smooth move by Jagex. Now teenagers can buy membership on impulse, rather than via talking to their parents. And as we all know impulse buying is what most people are good at. I expect this will add to the recent boom of members we've seen in the past 6-12 months.
  15. You know, if the editor IS one person, I wonder if they feel insulted that so many people think that the styles change throughout... :P I personally think it's one person - or mostly one person, at least. Lord knows who, but I think we should be able to hunt them down eventually.
  16. But... that defeats the purpose of burning, which is that lower levels won't get XP as fast as higher levels... :?
  17. I'd have to say this is a bad idea. It would free up space, yes, but I don't like the idea of losing a lot of characters. Many people take extended breaks from the game - in fact, most do. Runescape tends to work in cycles like that. If it was 2 years at least and anyone under 100, maybe. I also would hate to lose some of the last 3-letter names.
  18. I think this is a great idea. The marketplaces these days are massive and almost impossible to trade in. As to the person who said it would get messed up by chat; Say you can see the general area where someone is shouting the item you want. You could just turn chat off and examine everyone in the area. Usually trading is hard because you can't tell who of a pile of 3 people or so you want to trade with.
  19. I prefer using multiple windows across the bottom of thescreen. I find it infinmetely easier to figure out where everything is. And this should probably go on the Off-Topic forum, as it's not really about the game.
  20. I second the poll idea. How about the author put up a poll based on the options thrown around on the thread, adn then we can vote. It could even be a new thread.
  21. Dude... nice. I can make it. 8-) This is the REAL Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. I'll train my str for the rest of the week. And also, we really need to pile Rune HQ, the "top" RS fansite.
  22. Tip.it has been around a long, long time and they probably have connections. That, or they hunted him down using their top-secret special forces (the same ones they use on double posters).
  23. Five years and seven months. (started in Feb 2001, so feel free to check my math there : P) I think that makes me a senior, but definitions seem to be varied on this forum.
  24. Hm... Dont think I can make it. Not sure though...
