The point of a forum is to talk to people. Those who don't like conversation or stories should probably not read the forum. Or at least you don't need to post if you don't care... Forums are to talk... And kill time when bored. Or in my case, while cutting 4k willows to 60 woodcutting...

Yea, I'd have to agree with pretty much every single person who posted. There are way more guys than girls on Runescape, and also there are a lot of nice guys and mean girls. And as I guy... don't make sweeping generalizations of us. That itself is not nice : P

For all the reasons mentioned above me, yea, banning IP's is a bad idea. I think that the best way is still to track down the atuoer's main and ban him. Autoing is a lot less fun when when you have no safe character. Eventually they'll pick up and leave (or possibly move to a different mmorpg).

I think they should be able to do whatever they want. However, some "relationships" can get a little outside the realm of appropriate for Runescape. Like, the ones that pretend to... do stuff... should be banned. But if people are willing to give free items to people because they like their pixels, heck - more power to 'em. Giving gifts willingly doesn't really count as scamming. As long as it doesn't drift into R-rated territory, they can do whatever they want. And as long as no one tries to involve me :wink:

Yea, I got my account locked for a while. I changed my password, though, and Jagex actually gave it back to me pretty quickly. Another thing I suggest giving to them is you BANK PIN when it asks for more details. I couldn't remember my agreement number and only vaguely when I started, but I did know my bank pin.

I'm just happy about the firefox upgrade. I'm far too lazy to log into my msn account to play Runescape : P And I wonder how many people got hacked by the password stealers at tip.it...

With the gnome pilots, spirit trees, magic carpets and teleport spells I doubt this would happen. And it's also like hte horse idea, which has been often rejected. But if you had it be some kind of set course and not often used, it would be more for fun and less for laziness. Maybe from Ardougne to Varrock, or something long-ranged like that. Back in RSC, after RS2 was made and autoers took over, we had an autoer called the Icarian Taxi. That was actually his name, and he had a set auto course that ran through F2P RSC. It was an autoer, yes, but he would go around saying "all aboard", "next stop falador", and would tell jokes on the way. People just followed him for fun, not to get out of clicking. Something like that would be cool, and I'm sure Jagex could add their typical flair (term used loosely) to it.

Some kind of Jagex recognition of clans would be nice - an organized guild system (like most other MMORPGs) would be great. The current clan system isnt too bad, but backstabbing is certainly a problem. I think that a good system would be to create some kind of area for clan wars. It could be a section of the wilderness or a castle. Have it so that the clan leaders can enter people who come in on either side, and make it so that those sides can't be broken. The only thing is how leaders would be set, how more than two clans would be let in, etc. To have this actually work and not depend on one person entering accurately for a whole clan, though, you'd need to have Jagex recognize official clan memberlists. And this would create a binding contract of sorts for players, something most would probably reject. But if you managed to do this it would prevent PJing, crashing and backstabbing. But as I'm writing and reasoning through this, this is seeming less and less like a good idea. Ah well, might as well through it out there to be tweaked. Oh, and please tweak without and "that's dumb" comments. Thanks. : P

See, that's what makes H1P events some of the greatest - they're actually F2P. Not that I'm at all bitter about tip.it's member events...

I'm sorry if I'm noobish for asking, but how do we find out the times for these events? Is there a constant time for all Tip.it events? Just wondering : P

So, I don't suppose a date, time and place have been set for this yet? I'm just curious, since the thread seems to have drifted downward on the forums...

It's good to see that you overcame a scam. Look on the bright side... you won't fall for that scam again. It's all life experience.

As most people have said... it's not too much. I guess it can add up, but compared to other online games its pretty cheap. A steal even. Well, maybe not a steal. But it's cheap. And I never knew it was more by SMS... hm.

I think a common suggestion has been that everyone would have their own "Examine" option, but I think the response was it would be too difficult to do. I don't know... maybe in the future Jagex will do that.

thats actually a pretty cool idea I agree, that would be pretty cool. And maybe having more strength could translate into more Energy? Actually, maybe it already does. In fact, as I'm typing this I'm becoming mroe and more paranoid that I'm just being a noob. Can't say my strength is high enough to make an impact yet, so yea, I'm probably just being noobish. I'll go crawl back into my RSC hole... And if it doesn't, it should. : P

Really? You played Runescape when it wasn't released? I wish I was as magical as you :roll: Thank you Jammy i was about to say the same thing lol. Runescape was released to the public in January 2001. I started in Feb. 2001. Ive wasted too much of my life in this game, and i guess ill continue to do so :/ Yea, one of these days I'm going to crunch the numbers and find out how much time total I've spent on RS. And when I do, I think I'm going to become terribly depressed. :P

I'm working towards being able to do that. As someone said, I'll probably end up buying some stuff eventually to level. But I want to be able to get stuff if I need it quickly, like fish for pking or smithing armour. Sadly, I'm still a long, long ways away. : P

I've played since about a month after the game's release... So 5 years and a few months. :D This character is much younger, but I still remember the good old days.

In a corner of the Draynor manor basement, if you look really hard, you can even see a piece of the Dwarven mines. And in the Edgeville dungeon, you can also see a good bit of the Varrock Sewers. I know that all of these things make perfect sense, but I still find them interesting. The coolest one is on members, that from the KBD lair you can see a piece of another dungeon. It makes you badly wish you were there and not facing down a monsterous dragon :lol:
