  1. I used to be good at IPA. :( I don't know why people don't do it often, I think they look great. Looking forward to seeing work on this. :)
  2. The grid is there on the 3rd post Shouldn't use it. It's a grid made by someone else without permission.
  3. I quite like it actually. I think the lens flare is a bit too hard though, try slightly blurring it and putting opacity to about 70~90%. Text is fine, but I don't think it needs a drop shadow. If I were you, desaturate everything but the tennis ball about 25~40% and saturate the tennis ball an extra ~10%. It focuses the tennis ball then, and since the dog is black and white anyway, it won't take it away from that. Darken the edges of the photo slightly, either by gradient or just a soft-edged brush. Again, it focuses towards the tennisball and dog. If you can, slightly darken the window behind the dog. It's quite distracting. I whipped up a quick example of what I mean, I won't post it though. If you would like to see the image but with some of my adjustments, PM me. ;) Anyway, it's a good job. though the fact the dog's head was chopped off due to size limitations, it's still good.
  4. The fact is, Terley didn't make it. It's not really his to be saying if we can use it or not, and he hasn't by the sound of it anyway. Consult the website/group that created it to whether we can use it or not, or make a new one. I vote for making a new one, it seems so cheap and lazy to just take someone else's not to mention ripping.
  5. Obviously the person who invented that law has yet to dig through a bargain bin.
  6. That's a very productive and helpful post. Uhhh, Make sky blue. Add a feel of bricks in the castle. Use a smaller, better pixel font. You call them clouds?! Ground seems too round. Flatten it at the edges. Else, it's pretty nice. If you want that isometric pixel feel, just change the text and sky colour.
  7. The pen tool is to the left of the shape tool. It works in the same way as the lasso/selection tool, except you click around or in a shape rather than drag. It's a little bit more complicated, but it's easy and more versatile than the lasso tool. Where do you change the pen to 1 and a half pixel thing. When you've made a shape using the pen tool, select the Paths window, either by going to Window -> Paths or clicking the tab on the Layers/Channels window. Right-click the work path and go to Edit -> Stroke and set it to 1.5px black. If none of this makes any sense or you require more help, feel free to PM me. ;)
  8. That fella is made of awesome and win. I had a quick go and got it stuck in a peach. Luckily no one saw.
  9. Perhaps you should've made a grid before starting this?
  10. You failed at the first hurdle. Never save a pixel as a JPG, it kills it. Save it is a PNG in future. Now lets see... Used a lens flare on a pixel sig, BIG no - no. Horrible text colour, size and placement. Flat background and sky. No cloud shading. Tree shadow is tiny compared to it. That's all for now, I think. Why not 1, 2 or 3?

Nah, I think it'd be easier to just pick numbers. Then do it, and paste it on. Seems more organised to me. I still prefer the Tip.It Pixel City. That rocked.
  12. NHS? That is, if you don't count taxes.
  13. Wow, impressive! Wonder if cucumbers are interchangeable with my sisters head... Ehh, I can't find the person I was talking about. Anyway, this guy does pickles. I'd imagine that that's harder considering it's not fixed in place.
  14. Indeed, i've seen some very skilled people managed to cut through cucumbers and carrots with cards. I'd give it a go, but I lack cards. Good luck to further destroying things. :anxious:

Yes, but dump this topic. It contains posts for the avatars. I think you may need to expand the maximum, I doubt we'll get 100 people. Assuming half of the people did 2 or 3, we'd still need a lot of people. Just see how it goes. And was there any need to bypass the filter to say a word? That's the reason the filter is there.
  16. I think it would've been a better fake if you were actually with the people. Rather than just a chat box. That's way too overused, i'm glad he was original with his stat numbers. I think what you mean here is; it's a well-made fake, but a bad idea. There's a difference between a bad fake and a bad idea. Technically it's a very good fake, just lacks any...thing. It lacks wit, lacks something to look at. In future when making a fake, do something with the game screen and mini-map. It'll look like you took more time on it and could possibly bring a laugh to peoples face.
  17. It's ok, but lacks slight bits of anatomy and an original font. (That font, Papyrus, is overused at the moment and looks tacky.) I assume you did this in paint aswell? By the look of the circles. Right shoulder (his left) overlaps his chest. Wrong. His head is an oval, lacking ears and a defined chin. Same for the armour, you've just used the circle tool for his shoulder and elbow joints. Short arms. Stand up yourself and see where your arms hang to, it's beyond your waist - not level. His feet look like little bags. This could be just because they are facing square on. Shading is pretty good, but could do with some dithering. I think that's all. :) It's better than other "omfg mai furst picksel" people. Oh, and well remembered to save it as a PNG. ;)
  18. They all look pretty good. :) I just don't like the text placement on Rik's, Kal's and the fallen leaves one. For the fallen leaves one, perhaps put it in the same font but white. Then move it along the line across the fallen leaves? Or even a black, smaller and alongside/on/next to the bridge. For Rik's, maybe in a black/white along a mountainside? It doesn't seem right with the text going vertical on the right hand side. For Kal's, just the text. The text used for "kal" is horrible. The font colour is good (I assume it was taken from the sign). But it needs a smaller font. Apart from that, they all look pretty good. :P
  19. Have you never claimed personal injury compensation for the fear of fees? No, I just enjoy breaking my bones and walking home a happy man.
  20. Tools. Think how many are used and sold every day. ;)
  21. Version 1. Version 2. Insta-win for muffin lovers. Ehh, i'm not going to use it. Would anyone like it? Just say what name you'd like on it and which version. Rate/hate/blueberry/CC etc.
  22. He was told to speak loudly and clearly into the mic. No one had the guts to tell him to quiet down though, he holds the ability to clean pennies in 15 seconds!111!!!11
  23. Heck no, don't you dare insult Barry Scott. :x
