Rares wouldn't go down for the same reason low priced items would. People are selling a lot of their items because they think there will be better ones once hunting comes out, and they're liquidating smaller items around 1-5mil because they think they'll need a moderate pile of cash like that for hunting, since they needed a fair amount for construction, just to be safe.

An immense flaw, and the source of corrupt pmods. I completely agree. And in that case, shouldn't we be scared of runescape players in general? Everyone has the power to report. The problem is that if you're in a bank with 20 people and mention "google," "internet," or "tippit," someone in there's going to report you. Not because they want to help the community. Because they don't care about messing someone up to increase their reports they send in. People would rather boost their own status and get someone unfairly banned because jagex messes up on screenings sometimes. It's that kind of community that is the fuel for this messed up atmosphere of fear.

I liked how Mohinder's computer had the text "Do you really wish to quit?" on it the whole episode - which was basically his whole dilemma the past few episodes.

Post rs1, I'd say slayer. I really enjoyed those days right when that skill came out.

Around 8x10 I'd say. (The only thing that came to my mind when you said that was that overdone picture with the stick figures of different colored people holding hands in a circle around a circle earth. :P ) Thanks for the input - keep em coming.

I'm doing a contest for a project in school right now, and I've spent basically the hour thinking of ideas, but I've blanked out. All I really need is someone to jump start me with a good idea. The theme we have to go off of is "Living together in harmony." It's based off of Martin Luther King, so they mean diversity-wise. I'm using photoshop, and can basically make whatever I want, but the openness of the topic is kind of overwhelming me. Any ideas of what I could make would be appreciated. :)

Um... fable is a single player game? Plus they're in an entirely different market. They're not trying to get you playing the game for thousands of hours, where jagex is. But anyways, who's to say making money is hard? I find that claim pretty stupid. If you played in rs1 you know that money was extremely rare compared to now. Money's really easy to come by now. Why else do party hats cost billions of gp? On that same note - again, making money is pretty easy. Buy a rare and let it make millions for you. But I'm sure we're talking to the average Joe here, and I'm sure you wouldn't let my point finish off on that note. Lets take a level 25 member. He has plenty of options, even with zero to basic levels. He can pick flax and sell it (or spin it) easily for 100gp+ each, whatever they've been inflated to these days. Or mine rune essence for easy money. And if the person has no levels in anything? Run nature or law runes to make a ridiculous amount of quick money without even being that level. Sure, those are pretty tedious like you said, but only an hour on them rakes in 100k+ an hour. They're not hard at all. Just take breaks or switch what you're doing. not hard, right. But notice i said tedious, i mean, you cannot argue that it is tedious picking flax, there's much more fun thigns to do than that like kliling metal dragons and minigames. And I mentioned earlier that mostly everything in runescape is tedious. To me killing metal dragons is tedious. It's just to different degrees and different pressures. Mini-games can be moderately fun, but you don't really make any money in most of them, and in the ones you do are the most tedious. I think anything and everything in the game is tedious though - only because it's overdone. Picking flax once for the first time wouldn't be tedious. Playing castle wars for the first time obviously isn't tedious. It's just that everything in these kinds of games are designed to be repeated over and over again. So on your x-thousandth flax or 200th game of castle wars, no matter how fun the game seemed at first, tediousness is pretty much inescapable in this game.

New leaving/returning sticky or board
Adam007 replied to darkmage099's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I think such posts are pretty rare, and when they do come, if nobody cares, they fall back down really fast. When important people do leave, it's good for them to get it out to a larger audience. I doubt a board solely for players coming and going would get many views except for those kind of people who want high post counts. There have been bigger problems in terms of board creation than the need for something like this. -
They probably want a diverse pool of submissions that they show, to give some of the not as great artists some hope. The second image is somewhat funny with some charm too. I mean if I ran it I wouldn't use that, or wouldn't value too highly either of the qualities I just listed, but I see why jagex does.

I doubt there is as much money to be made with hunter as there was with construction. With construction you had to buy your levels with mass materials. I don't see hunting requiring so much of that. I'm sure there will be buyable things, but I doubt you'll be able to make huge profits off it like you did cons. Just like slayer, I doubt you can really profit off selling levels. Instead, I'd imagine you profit by buying what you can of the level, getting high levels fast, and selling what you make off the skill for high prices. That's how skills should work - not the opposite.

Ok, since you threw that out here, how about listing some of these lies. IMHO he's a great man who has demonized in the press and by the democrats for no good reason other than plain politics while we are at war with people who want to kill all of us infidels. We can only hope we have someone else as good as him to take his place. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HkrHztf-j6c That one should be enough. If not, here's some more reading: http://www.counterpunch.org/whitney06282005.html http://thinkprogress.org/2005/12/09/rum ... edictions/ http://www.pacificviews.org/weblog/archives/001994.html http://www.subliminalnews.com/archives/000075.php http://www.informationclearinghouse.inf ... le9328.htm http://www.truthdig.com/avbooth/item/20 ... statement/

I'm sure you'll be alive long enough for the concrete to just fade away xD Sounds like a fun way to spend a millennium or two. :)

About the same here. 1 inch taller and about 110lbs. I eat a lot, but can't gain any weight. My metabolism is ridiculously fast. Sometimes I'll go to the bathroom before I finish eating if we're having an hour or longer dinner (assuming that's the current food I'm eating - I wouldn't have any idea).

That'd be pretty cool if it got moved there. I really miss the rs1 days where it was crammed full of people dueling and trading.

MERCHS and PLAYERS GO SELL HAPPY!! News at 11 ((From SODB))
Adam007 replied to deangut's topic in General Discussion
I have a question for you if you don't mind sir. Should we or should we not sell our rares ATM? As it is speculating that with Hunter rares are gonna keep decreasing in value. Well I recently bought an easter for 13.5mil, they are now lingering around 12mil ish, should I keep it or sell it ? Thankies. :3> Construction only messed rares up because it was a money drain. Hunter, like slayer, doesn't appear to be a money drain. If it is similar to slayer, it might rocket rares up in price like slayer did because of all the money transfer of people selling what they make from hunter. My advice is to keep it - but nobody can know because we have no idea of any specifics of the skill. -

I would agree with you, but the problem is we don't see everything we can't even imagine what every single person goes through. So it may appear that its unfair but some people really do get screwed over if they are born black in the wrong area. Not because of discrimination but because of poverty, of course white people can also be poor but most times then not its that white persons own fault (not always.) Is it just me or does that sound stupid? If a black person is poor they deserve some kind of compensation, but if a white person is poor they deserve it? The only way I do support any form of AA is if it's based on economic factors. Looking at anything with the race angle is just too flawed and you can't generalize an entire person based off their skin color. You are very ignorant, have you even been in a poverty area? Black or white? Can't say I have, but have you ever elaborated on a point?

In anticipation of the November 19th release, I thought I'd give you guys who plan on buying it a little bit of fun, and a sneak preview towards the actual creation of your Mii version for playing on the Wii and Wii Sports to help hold over fellow day counters. You can decide now the perfect design for your actual Mii character, so you can rush through it without making all of those 'crucial decisions' later on when you just want to instantly play it later this month. :) http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2006/1 ... r-own-mii/ Assuming we're allowed to, post your Mii version of yourself here. :) Here's mii.

I'm surprised nobody's posted a topic on it yet. Anyways, I'd assume everyone knows by now that Rumsfeld has resigned as the Secretary of Defense, and that Robert Gates will be taking his position. link: http://news.bostonherald.com/politics/v ... eid=166361 People have been calling for his resignation a long time now. After being caught in so many lies, it's really a perfect window for him to finally step down and have a fresh perspective take his role.

Voting Yes means you are for the removal to a certain point of AA. Voting No means you are against the removal of AA. To a certain point? That's crap and you know it. Voting Yes ends affirmative action. PERIOD. Well, whatever. I doubt our goverment has that much ambition. Besides, the more we rid of it, the better. Where were all you people during the AA debate? Everyone sided with me, saying it was bad. And now everyone's, well mostly everyone, is against it? :-s A lot has to do with the presentation of the initial thread's topic. Calling everyone who is against affirmative action idiots tends to isolate supporters. But still, on an anonymous forum like this, I'm surprised by the resulting posts, especially based on the other thread.
-
Either way the system won't work. If you have affirmative action, it's reverse racism towards the majority race. Businesses are supposed to be equal opportunity anyway. If there is evidence an employer rejected an equally qualified person based on race, I believe that's a lawsuit. There's a difference between having equal opportunity and having required quotias to fill. With quotias, businesses and universities are filled with people who don't deserve their position, and are underqualified, and basically dilute the quality of the worker/student. If you're not qualified, you don't belong in the position in the first place. It makes no sense for an unqualified person to take the spot of a qualified person. If they have that supposive glowing inner talent that's being suppressed by their race, they should be able to compensate by being able to rise above that in the first place. I'm assuming that's the reason they're hired. That they're able to move ahead once they're given the opportunity. But enough with that. I'm wondering what else besides job and university options were taken away? While I completely support removing affirmative action in general, I was told that free vaccines for women were also taken away? That part of the proposal I wouldn't necessarily agree with. I'd just like to know more about that, since from what I did read I heard nothing of.
-
I'm completely eccstatic that this passed. There is no sense in someone taking a spot that they don't deserve. I would support AA only in occasions where there was a bar that had to be reached, and the people who were of a certain race and offered the exception didn't take the spots of more deserving people. If there was no space issue, I would support it. Only in such a scenario. The fact is that you can't classify a person based on a race. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=545 ... ght=action Economic factors are one thing - I woudl support AA based on that soleley. But race is just idiotic. Once again, I am glad affirmative action has been removed in Michigan. It's about time people had equal opportunities. Race and stereotypes are just illusions that give people excuses to not put in their all.

You're probably being called a newb for using words like 'H8' and 'wud' for one. Improve your attitude, talk intelligently, and half the people who call you newbs won't. As to your combat level: that stuff is for help and advice. I reported the thread, so just make a new one, or go over there and look at the board which probably has at least 5 topics where people are in the same dire predicament as you.
