Guide To Making PowerPoints!
These are my tips in addition to what you said. Never write paragraphs or anything. Just write down main points - a short sentence maximum usually. Have your own notes, usually memorized, that you're going to be reading them. If you have paragraphs up there, the people will read them instead of listening to you. I thought I had more. I guess that's it.

Zelda: Twilight Princess
I'm on my 6th heart too. I have either 1 of the 7th. I took a break because I couldn't figure out how to deal with that bridge that burned on both sides. I just read what to do and had no idea that anyone could figure that out, since in every other area like that you'd just end up killing yourself for doing that kind of thing. (I'm speaking in vague generalities so I don't spoil anything)

Hunter Skill? Not Hunting skill?
Ah yeah! i want to be lvl 99 woodcutter and then highalch with i hope near lvl 99 magicing!!! The word is maging. You guys keep talking about how some words won't work with -ing, -er, or neither. But these are all verbs, and they all work with either the root like attack, the er like hunter, or the ing like farming. Let me make a table. Root "ing" "er" Attack Attacking Attacker Defence Defending Defender Strength Strengthening Strengthener Hitpoints (not a verb. It could be "hit point raising/raiser, or root could be changed) Ranged Ranging Ranger Pray Praying Prayer Magic Maging Mager Cook Cooking Cooker Woodcut Wcing Woodcutter Fletch Fletching Fletcher Fish Fishing Fisher Firemake Fmaking Firemaker Craft Crafting Crafter Smith Smithing Smither Mine Mining Miner Herblore (not a verb) Agility (not a verb) Thieve Thieving Thiever Slay Slaying Slayer Farm Farming Farmer Runecraft Runecrafting Runecrafter Hunt Hunting Hunter Construction Constructing Constructer Sorry the table looks so ugly. Anyway, my point is that it's entirely up to jagex to choose the type of verb. Since the majority of them are verbs, they should be able to keep some kind of consistency. You see how each type is all over the place.

Zelda: Twilight Princess
I just finished the second dungeon. How far is everyone else who's playing it? By the way, it was pretty hard to find an up to date guide, but here's a pretty good one: http://www.mycheats.com/view/section/18 ... s/gamecube I'm just using it to make sure I don't pass over any heart pieces or anything. Anything more than that is just spoiling your own fun of figuring things out.

Wii launch countdown!
*raises hand* Lol, same deal here. I bought the game for a friend but he bought one off eBay by the time I told him. I was going to return the game but decided I'll want it once I get a Wii :wink: Oh, you'll want it - I can guarantee that. Super monkey ball and Tony Hawk feel like complete trash compared to zelda. I must have played them under an hour cumulatively, while I've put around 16 hours into Zelda. It's just so hard to put that controller down.

Monster Hunting Guide: Dagannoth Kings
Just a suggestion to change the name of this guide from "Monster Hunting" to something else, since it's misleading and people will probably click it expecting to read about the skill hunting and about its monsters. [pokemama edit 11/22: yeah, we were debating this very issue for the last week. dunno where we will go with it. I'm afraid to ask for suggestions, but maybe a couple? lol.]

Hunter Skill? Not Hunting skill?
When slayer came out I expected it to be called slaying. When hunter came out, I assume it'd be called hunter, and not hunting. Slayer probably sounds perfectly normal to you - but there were people just as bewildered about the name slayer as you are about hunter. In some time hunter will sound just as natural.

Cinema Dilemna
It was probably laziness of the cashier. That or he thought you guys looked 17. Either way, employees doing theater checks should recheck even after people walk in. One because people can buy tickets to one movie and walk in to another, and two, even if you have tickets for that movie, it's possible people like you had a friend/parent buy them for them and leave them.

I Wiin
I got up at 6 with my brother. We both went to target. They were supposed to get 60, but we were 63 and 64. He waited at Target, and I drove towards the other target 8 miles down. On the way I saw a best buy, and decided to go there. After waiting another hour, I got the 95th out of 106 tickets. My dad met my brother at target and bought 3 games there sicne you get a $20 certificate if you buy 3. Then he drove to best buy and met me and we got a wii. They were out of controllers, so we drove to the target I was going to go to and they had some we bought. Fun day, and mission complete. :)

Wii launch countdown!
Blue, their point is that you shouldn't even be on this thread if all you're willing to talk about is the Ps3. This is a positive thread about the release of the wii. We don't want to hear a single thing about the ps3 on it. And you keep comparing them, and saying how much you dislike the wii - even though you haven't tried it. Despite your prejudging the wii to decide you hate it already, nobody cares. At all. Annyywwaayyyy. I got a wii today. I've been playing it all day, and my parents are playing video games and are hooked on it just as much as my brother and I are. I honestly didn't expect them to have an interest, but they're playing a game of golf on wii sports right now against each other, and absolutely having a great time. I'd recommend this system to anyone and everyone. :) (I bought zelda, tony hawk, and monkey ball btw)

Wii launch countdown!
Yeah, my wal-mart had 30, and at 6:00pm I called and there were already 30 people in line for the midnight sale. My target's supposed to get 60 in tomorrow morning, so I'm just going to go there and hope I get one.

Zelda: Twilight Princess
For some reason I think this scenario never actually took place anywhere :lol: No offense but it sounds like one of those dreams my 6 year old cousin would have. Sorry if you were being serious, but why'd you all of a sudden ask random people in Armani suits if they want a new gaming console.. Upperclassmen are people in a school that are in a higher grade than you. Not literally men of a higher social class than you. I mean I'm a senior at my school - an upperclassman. I would have given the same answer, so I can vouch that such a scenario can actually take place - so I'm just assuming you don't know what the word means.

The facination with fame
My only guess is that the general majority of people are born followers. They love to worship idols. It seems built into the human state to be that way. These celebrities become false idols, and people just tend to want to know everything about their living and walking gods. They're just engrossed with learning about what happened to a celebrity because they don't seem like regular people. They seem like immortals because of their fame and status. So they love seeing regular day events happen to them. I don't know. Just guessing. Ignore my tone if it seems like I know what I'm talking about.

The vicous cycle....
You know there was a time where the abyss - even runecrafting itself didn't exist. Taking them out now wouldn't dent anything immensely, because things survived well before we had those. You're really just oversimplifying this into a cycle that doesn't exist in a way you're making it out to be.

Race=Humanity?
With that implication, affirmative action is completely baseless! Are you aware of what you're saying?! :wink: Yes that is what I am saying. Because I swear on my grave I have never seen a white nor a black person. We are all monochromatics of brown. Face it, we're all connected, some of us just have ancestors that lived in countries where there is, for example, more sun, and it is human nature to adapt with a darker skin color, and lots of adaptations, maladaptations or not, become heredity traits. There is no need for different terms, just because a person is darker than you, it's just a label by society that I've found complety meaningless. I mean, black and white, what moron came up with those terms, they must have been seriously color blind, to a point that isn't even possible. I could see light or dark, but then that doesn't account for those inbetween. You took what I said seriously? Even with the wink, the sarcastic tone, and the fact that I linked to a thread where I said race shouldn't exist - which I'm pretty sure you posted on yourself? :s

Race=Humanity?
With that implication, affirmative action is completely baseless! Are you aware of what you're saying?! :wink: Jack, that was one of the most ignorant things I've heard all day. Free speech doesn't apply to every word muttered out of your mouth. While it's true that it isn't against the law to be racist - people tend to have their own set of moral values above whatever laws exist. Don't tell me that if laws didn't exist you'd immediately start killing people. But free speech!

Teenage Drauma Hilarious?
Yeah your a cool guy thats exaclty it i live for it mhmm that must be why :-k yeah no that was a waste of your breath i dont live for it Sigmund Freud so dont psycoanalize me. And im not really proud of the demerits but thx anyways In my experiences I've seen huge cases of completely artificial drama. At a school dance, some girl will get hurt/betrayed by someone, and then there are 20 other kids all completely circling the commotion. The actual event is pretty insignificant in my eyes. But people are really drawn to it - especially teens and preteens. I'm not trying to talk like a psychologist. Maybe it comes out that way, but I'm just talking from experience. I never said you live for it, but I'm saying that in general people like to create drama because of the excitement/fun it brings em. Nothing beats being the center of attention when some breaking news drama hits the school halls, does it?

Wii launch countdown!
That or you have ADD or something. Zelda's supposed to take 80+ hours to beat. And if you call $250 too expensive, what would you call $600? Anyways - I'm about as excited as you can get for the release. I'm heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow to wait for the midnight release. I played the wii for my first time today actually. Now I really want to just own it. This 28 hour time span until midnight tomorrow is going to take soo long. :P

Race=Humanity?
I think you'd really like reading this thread I made on the issue you're talking about: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=545 ... ght=forget

Teenage Drauma Hilarious?
It's just flat out unneccessary. I've managed to completely avoid it in my four years of highschool. I won't listen to it or acknowledge it, because it's completely fake and only created to add excitement/trouble for otherwise boring teen lives. People act like they hate it but they subconsciously thrive for it.

people scared of p mods?
Let me add - people aren't afraid of pmods in general. On the whole they're intelligent and got there for a reason. It's just that there's a chance that whatever pmod you're dealing with is incompetent and not level headed. They're rare, but given how the justice system in rs works, anything, even if taken out of context or misconstrued, can be bannable. And half the time they either auto-deny you or don't understand your response to give you a fair chance at justice when they review your appeal.
-
Are we going for a market crash soon?
Rares wouldn't go down for the same reason low priced items would. People are selling a lot of their items because they think there will be better ones once hunting comes out, and they're liquidating smaller items around 1-5mil because they think they'll need a moderate pile of cash like that for hunting, since they needed a fair amount for construction, just to be safe.
-
people scared of p mods?
An immense flaw, and the source of corrupt pmods. I completely agree. And in that case, shouldn't we be scared of runescape players in general? Everyone has the power to report. The problem is that if you're in a bank with 20 people and mention "google," "internet," or "tippit," someone in there's going to report you. Not because they want to help the community. Because they don't care about messing someone up to increase their reports they send in. People would rather boost their own status and get someone unfairly banned because jagex messes up on screenings sometimes. It's that kind of community that is the fuel for this messed up atmosphere of fear.

anybody watch HEROES...?
I liked how Mohinder's computer had the text "Do you really wish to quit?" on it the whole episode - which was basically his whole dilemma the past few episodes.
