No - he is just changing the definition of what it means to be Republican. (As a result, the opposition - the Democrats - adjust themselves to be oppositely oriented from the new Republicans, changing the dynamic of our two-party system.) We're going to split soon - can't you feel it? We're going to split into a Howard Dean party (liberals), a Democrat party (moderate liberals), a religious Right Republican Party (Bush's party) and a Conservative-Libertarian Party. Wouldn't that be awesome? Maybe I'm dreaming... That would be SWEET! I'm in CT right now, and with the Lamont - Lieberman thing, you can definitely feel the tension within the Democratic party about direction to take. Just don't end up like Canada with their 11500+ parties to vote for. What'd be wrong with that? Then people might start thinking which party is best to vote for if they have so many options - instead of this two sides to a coin deal with such extremes on both.

According to the Debt Clock, we are both wrong. As of 3 days ago, the US National Debt was 8 trillion. Clinton only managed to keep the books even for 1 year. That means, we managed to keep from adding to the debt. Which is amazing, since that is a sign that we totally did not spend money on anything that year. Considering the nation's history, 229 out of 230 years have contributed to the debt. I do believe that in today's currency, Abe Lincoln and FDR were the Presidents with the largest debt accumulations in thier term. And why we are getting political commentary from a science blog, I dont know. Bush only has 2 years left, and if he did anything truly fascist I would be the first in line to oppose him. The only thing wrong with Bush is that he is a Republican acting like a Democrat with religious ideals. Which is just plain odd. Every day on digg there are tons of articles linking Bush's actions towards fascism - that was just the first one I found. There was a great video up on google video, "America: From Freedom To Fascism" - see if you can still find it somewhere since it's been taken down. Runescape's really not the game for you if you get bored easily - I'm surprised you got this far. :P My advice for you is to play music, have a TV on somewhere, have soem instant messenger running, talk on the phone, anythign to add some kind of extra stimulus.

I love playing with friends and playing online is fun, and neither should be taken away, unless someone personally finds themselves addicted. The fun thing is, if we ever paid off all that debt, the value of currency worldwide would plummet and all nations would go back into debt. So you expect the government to let us do whatever we want and then spend money to fix us when we abuse it? There are plenty of addiction help services not only run by the government. Just because a few get addicted or whatever Bush's reason for illegalizing internet gambling doesn't mean that it should be ruined for everyone. Unfortunately, that's how everything works in this country. Unless they already have some control over it. Then it's another story.

In the past people abused them. They'd make a regular topic and have some irrelevant poll, or a useless poll. If you ask a mod to add a poll to a topic they'll usually do it for you if it's relevant.

I enjoy doing all the quests. I do the quest myself but the instant I get stuck I'll use a guide. Not because I give up or anything. Quests just take a long time, and I don't have that much time for runescape anymore, so I try to get them done as fast as possible.

I remember you making a post earlier that I also agreed with, and here once again you've done the same thing. This is what I was aiming to say, however I said it more angrily because I'm sick of these kinds of posts. Log on if you want to play, don't make Runescape feel like a part of your life - such as brushing your teeth. Was it this post I made about a month ago?:

I haven't played in over a month, and you don't see me making a topic about it. Jagex themselves are having terrible updates lately. Just wait it out and they'll readdict you eventually. My philosophy is don't look at runescape like a permanent part of your life. It's not like you're 'on' or 'off' runescape, 'active' or 'quit.' Don't create that weird mentality for yourself. This is my main rule I go by: If you feel like playing, log on. It's really that simple. Don't dramatize it.

Natural pheromones are all I need. I don't waste money on all that other stuff. I hate most of the perfumes/colognes I smell off other people, so I figure they wouldn't want to smell whatever I'd put on. And it's not like I need to mask anything either. :P

That encourages spamming. We already have post counts that show how much you post, and turning that into money would basically encourage users to post even more - which in turn they would just spam.

Well that's how it benefits you. If a school is naturally diverse, that's great. But people who deserve a spot more than someone who fills in a quotia shouldn't be rejected because of their race. That's just sending us back 100 years in term of civil rights. Just because diversity is a good thing doesn't mean faking it is fair in any way. I've gone to school with an extremely diverse class but it would be completely unfair for someone who isn't white to take my spot at a college just because he/she is more diverse if I'm more qualified. I have the same opportunity as any black person at my school. Just because someone lets a stereotype subconsciously limit/mold them doesn't mean someone needs to compensate for that at white people's expense. Like I said in an earlier topic I made like this. We only have all of these troubles because we categorize people by race in the first place.

In general ads can be annoying, but sometimes they're pretty clever and funny. They're great on the super bowl. But once they get to such a repetitious point they get annoying.

I personally don't care, and I wouldn't be against it. The issue pertains to this site. And the fact is that there's a liability. The tip it name has a professional G-rated standard it holds to. If some kid was browsing the site, clicked the team speak room, and suddenly all kinds of swearing started coming out the speakers, we don't have a good situation. It's not an issue whether kids should or shouldn't hear those kinds of words. It's just that tip it has a standard it adheres to, and that's the only point I was making. The only thing is that if we really were that select, and didn't have that many members, the room might be dead-ish most of the time. But that could work.

And beyond that, wouldn't that give a bad message to new posters? People should answer questions because they want to help. Not to get some 'status.' Not that I don't believe that your idea is impossible to implement. It could work, I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Too much of a safety issue. There's young kids who'd connect, and it's extremely hard to moderate what people say. I'm not shutting you down or anything - I'm just repeating the reason I've heard before. (Btw, want to think about renaming that acronym? We have tip it times but nobody refers to it by its letters. :P )
