Logic isn't enough for you? The number of planets out there is close to infinite. Why would it be that our planet is the only one with life on it? Lets say that there's a 1/1000 chance of a planet havign life on it, which I think is conservative, and we know there's like trillions of planets out there, we can be almost positive that there's life out there. To simplify the whole just believe in logic thing (without any intentions of being condescending even though I might sound like it :s), say I drop a feather in front of you while you kept looking at my hand. You didn't see it hit the floor, but logically, you just know odds are it fell to the ground. The same with life. You don't see alien life but logically with what we know, there has to be a planet out of the trillions that exist that sustains life. I can understand you not believing in intelligent life existing, but life in general has to exist. Personally I think there are hundreds+ of planets out there with intelligent life.

Maybe small statues of how they used to look as tribute, but not a 'before and after' - that takes away realism from the game if jagex knowingly aknowledges inside the game that there was a graphical update. You just don't do that. Outside of the game is fine, but inside the game it should be like they have always been that way.

Take a picture of the room and bring it into the place where you're buying paint. They should be able to help you pick a good color to go with the rest of the stuff in the room.

Like you said, the whole dds thing annoys me too. They came out with that abbreviation somewhat recently. I saw someone in a bank at the lowest of abbreviations. He was trying to buy an abyssal whip for awhile, started off saying 'buy whip,' (which is bad itself) but gradually started spamming the chat box with: by wip by wip by wip by wip by wip by wip Ugh :x

Maybe in your opinion they seemed more complete because they had religion in them. I call that having more, not being neccesarily complete though. And more isn't always a good thing. You say nobody ever proved the bible wrong - that's kind of hard to do. I mean I can say that 410 dimensions exist and you can't prove me wrong. It's harder to prove something is right - and I'm not seeing any proof. If you do accept a religion, you shouldn't accept it just because nobody proved it wrong yet. So basically you're saying only Christians are going to go to a heaven if it exists? I mean there's tons of other religions, and tons of people without religions, all living completely moral and good lives, but since they don't believe in your perception of truth, they're not going to make it? People who don't believe aren't hiding from anything. They'd love to believe, they'd love for things to be that easy, they just can't for whatever reasons.

It's extremely unlikely, to say the least. People who devote themselves to one skill, being #1 in it don't even have close to 200mil xp in it. The only skill I know of that people have 200mil xp in is cooking, and most skills the max is around 30-60million for that skill. Now you're expecting one person to get 200mil xp in a skill that nobody has it in, but people are specifically aiming for in that one category, but just one person to get it in all skills? It's just not going to happen.

You do see a lot of topics about the word noob. Most of them are complaints about being called one, entirely different from this analytical approach. I think if you did call someone a noob, they wouldn't feel offended (unless they thought they were one), but mostly just be mad because they were irritated at you using the word. I mean if you want to annoy someone go ahead and use the word. I'm just saying it has no meaning anymore as an actual word beyond being an automatic comeback, which itself has no meaning. For everyone situation of using the word noob there's a 1000% chance you can pick a better word that actually applies to the situation.

Yes, the word noob. Or newb, n00b, whatever you want to call it. It's one of the most irritating sounding words to me. Overused, meaningless, and just a vague word used to insult on the internet. It really has no meaning anymore. It used to insult someone who had no idea what they were doing, that whole thing, but now it's just a generic insult. So I was thinking. Why is it that with some people, it's the number one used word in their internet vocabulary, and in others, never used at all? I typed out the word noob today, and realized I haven't used it in literally months. Yet some people can't go minutes without using that word. I thought, why is this? I came to this conclusion. Besides using it jokingly, the only people who really use it are the real 'noobs' themselves. They're brought up hearing it used on themselves so much, out of an insecurity thing, they attack everyone else with it. Being a 'noob' really is a bad thing to them - otherwise they wouldn't use it themselves. Think about it. Most of us never use that word unless we're jokingly using it. Myself, never. But the only peopel who really use it seriously are those low level f2p 'noobs' themselves. This now meaningless word only exists because the people who are afraid of being called one use it all the time attacking others, mostly just to cover up what they think are their own shortcomings. How often is it that when you completely prove someone wrong, all they have left is that simple four letter word, noob? Yet they somehow think that's a valid comeback. That they've just countered all your points. Well it's not. I didn't really know what the point of this thread would be when I started it, but now I've decided. It's to just show how pointlessly hypocrytical it is to use, and basically, to ask people who still use it to simply just stop. Stop dragging that stupid word over our chat screens. We don't need to see it anymore. It means nothing. Go ahead and keep using it jokingly, but just stop using it as a real form of argument or to insult people, because it's so meaningless nowadays.

How could the spread of nuclear weapons to more and more countries be good? It just raises the chances of another nuke being used, and that could be the catalyst for a massive cataclysmic war. (I wonder if the words catalyst and cataclysmic have anything to do with each other)

Well your best information you can find just googling. But the most important thing probably is to have breakfast. That starts your metabolism up early in the morning. Ideally just skip lunch. Just have a late breakfast/brunch. Don't have a huge dinner, just a regular size one, and have a small healthy snack before you go to sleep. Do all that, and also exercise a lot. I don't know how hard it might be only going on two meals a day. That's all I have during the summer because everyone in my house is just too lazy to make lunch, and we get up so late that we have breakfast at like 1, then dinner at like 6-7. I just stay up really late and usually go to sleep when I start getting really hungry. I'm the opposite though. I'm trying to gain weight - combine the fact that I probably still don't eat enough with my really fast metabolism and I'm pretty far underweight. Next year in college things'll change for me though. :P

We tried this once and it didn't work out so well. I don't see what's different this time around.

Normally I'm all up for containment threads, but this doesn't seem right. If people post pictures, it's for a reason, and pertains to a type of thread. Otherwise if you have a thread like that it's just a big mess of random pictures with no common link to them, and that seems kind of pointless.

Exactly. :uhh: But if you haven't noticed runescape has nothing to do with how the stock market works. If an item is rare, then it just can't go down in rarity, hence it can't go down in price. Even if demand drops like you suggested, the hats are still rare. People do make lots of fast money. In a Tip it times article by Duke Freedom a graph showed that inflation has followed almost exactly the price of party hats and rares. As long as there is tons of gp being created and floating around that people own, they'll go into phats.

I really don't see this becoming popular enough to warrant a forum for it. Why help specifically with quests? Why not have a whole help board with people who are bored? Even if there were enough interested people to just help because they were bored, I still think a sticky would be fine enough. I just don't think there are that many people who when bored would rather go through a quest a second time with someone than just do something productive outside the game. I really think we're fine with the current help and advice board we have now.

I dont think pouches fit logs :lol: Pouches wouldn't do anything... especially considering logs/planks takes up all your invent space.. Ugh, I guess you can't leave anything to inference. You bring 23 logs. You bring cash. You bring 3-4 pouches so while you're in the altar you can craft 18-30 runes with 3-4 inventory spaces, and those runes by whatever multiplier your level allows. It would require dropping logs and picking em up but it'd probably be worth it.

I think it'd be nice if we got redone along with giving us more customizing options like width and height. I think armor in general would look better if it was made to look more like lunar armor in figure.

They make several new songs every month, unless by 'make new songs,' you do mean for them to redo the old ones, which I agree would be a good idea. A lot of new areas get good songs but people only go there for 15 minutes. It would be a good idea to redo songs in like falador and varrock and crouded areas to be more fluid and overall just better like much of the new songs are.

I'll listen to a song the first few times if it's new, otherwise I have it muted. I do think overall their songs are getting better with new updates though.

The Bible does not say it. However, microevolution does account for the different races. Note how a white person who lives in the Carribean for 30 or so years looks much darker than he did before he moved there. Imagine now an entire group of people living as nomads in a desert. They will no doubt become darker over time, correct? All differences in ethnicities result from geographic location. There are no different "races", we are all of the same race. We only spread out across the world with different tongues after the Babel incedent. Note: microevolution =/= Evolution in the sense of natural selection. In fact, it generally flies in the face of it. I'm pretty sure there's more to a race than the amount of sun level they get. Culture aside, different races in general have different facial makeups and different builds. I mean are you trying to say that if you put a Chinese baby and an African American baby on an island in the Caribbean they'd look the same after 10 years? Just wearing regular clothes people I haven't met before have been able to tell that I'm Jewish, which a lot of people don't consider to even be a race. Obviously a religion isn't a race, but culturally Jews do tend to have kids together so you do get a type of race. I really do think there are different races within the encompassing species. While one can't specifically define a type of race, they do exist. Eventually they might not if we keep up our global assimilation, but as of now they do.

A few days that seemed to be happening with me. Repeatedly I kept trying to load one specific topic, and I thought the forums were down since it wasn't really loading, but then I went back to the main page and other pages loaded fine while that one thread wouldn't load.
